This place is disgusting for customer service and I am not sure why Amazon chooses to use UPS stores like this as a contracted partner. I walked in with my package in a box for an Amazon return from my baby shower. I asked the agent behind the counter for a strip of tape for the top of the box. Noor, the agent behind the counter told me there's a charge for tape. So I had buy tape for $4 due to this. I have never been charged to tape a box at any shipper location whether it is USPS, FedEx, or even other UPS locations. I would highly recommend reporting them to Amazon too. It's just not right. The business replied to me to state that my package was not packed and sealed. I would have to disagree that a piece of tape does not qualify as "not packaged or sealed". I did not need any assistance from their staff to pack or seal my box. I asked for a piece of tape. Which means you did not need to pack or seal my box and wanted to charge me for a strip of tape. I stand by my review. You're charging people for a piece of tape. Noor, the customer service agent never notified me of a price for packing my item because he did not have to pack it. If you go here, be prepared to wait, even if you are second in line. The two gentleman who are there all the time, aren't necessarily rude, but don't greet you, don't speak to you unless absolutely critical and offer no information if, say they suddenly disappear into the back. Once your processed they say nothing. So you have to ask "is it OK, am I all set?" Can I have a receipt? I appreciate what seems like due diligence, however, since they've been there well over a year it wouldn't seem like every package is a brand new problem to solve. It's weird. But, I have seen them go out of their way to tape a package up. My packages have always arrived where they were supposed to. read more

I have been a customer here for over 4 years and a mailbox holder for 2 years. I used to love the employees and the previous owner they knew me by name and always went the extra mile. Since the new owner has taken over, they have lost 6 packages, they no longer email the origin of the package I receive. The staff is extremely rude and argumentative. I pay over $300 a year for this box and service. I would love to terminate my contract with this UPS. I don't see this store staying in business as their customer service is terrible. I requested the owner contact me 3 days ago and have yet to hear from him. Plus I was told he wants my email so he can deal with this via email. So happy to have found this place exists much easier than going downtown on griswold when this UPS is down the street from me. There's parking right out front and I was in and out in 3 minutes. To think I actually tried to fight traffic in the heart of downtown Detroit when this place is so much more convenient for someone who is driving. Went here today to see if they do notary and it turned out horrible. Worker (girl with pink hair) was quite possibly the nastiest and rudest person ever. Yelling at people to close the door and giving attitude all over the place. Told her she should say hello or good morning to her customers instead of yelling at them. Not sure how she stays employed there but she definitely should not be. Definitely will never go back and will do my best to make sure nobody else goes back either. I spoke up, but other people were pretty intimidated by that excuse for a worker. To top it off, turns out they don't do notary. read more

Do not print here! My order was over $70 (regular black and white printer paper) and was supposed to be ready in 6 hours. Took over a week and 4 separate trips in person to the store for them to finally print it. Made multiple phone calls and emails, none of them were answered. Once they finally agreed to print the order I had already paid for online, it was missing most of the pages and took 45 minutes of waiting in the store for it. They loose packages and they send you notices that you have a package and when you get there they say you don't have packages. Pre Pandemic I traveled 10 months out of the year for business and found myself regularly needing the services of the local UPS store. Often to ship something I picked up as a gift for family or for those times I wanted to lighten my suitcase for the flight back home. So I know my UPS Stores. So Monday I went to the nearest UPS store to ship back a fragile and sentimental piece of tile from Detroit's famous Pewabic Tile and a live Plant. I almost went elsewhere after reading previous reviews. Upon entering I was pleased to find no line and a pleasant gentleman ready to help. Unfortunately he told me they were not allowed to take Live plants except under special circumstances. Seeing my distress I didn't want to take it on the plane. He double checked online and then showed me the result I would need a special certificate something that a florist might have but he checked further and confirmed TSA would allow me to take the plant on the plane. Ok well what about the Tile. No problem he would wrap it up carefully. I paid for extra insurance just in case and he gave me my receipt and assured me my tile was in good hands. Today my box arrived and true to his word (I think his name was Wayne?) my tile arrived wrapped in several layers of protective paper/plastic in the same condition I had left it. For me this UPS store was Great. Professional, Helpful, Polite and from my perspective went the extra mile to insure I was satisfied. Its also easy to park right in front of the store. I went to this location for shredding. The place was packed and two out of three staff were working. There was no clear order in terms of how customers would be serviced. We did our best to socially distance ourselves. When I finally got to the register, the individual fumbled a bit then told me he did not "...know how" to process my request, so I had to get back in line. When another person eventually came from the back, I approached the counter and was told nonchalantly, "..it's full." I was very incensed at having wasted so much time to get nothing accomplished. This particular UPS store has a staff member(the younger guy of the two that were working on 5/29)who was very rude and aggressive when talking with me about returning one of several packages to Amazon that was in a box but not taped with the understanding from Amazon could be brought to them without any packaging at all. He wanted to charge me $2.00 to put tape on the box and when I expressed that I never had to do that before is when he became very short,began talking in a louder tone and told me to step aside to help other customers. At that time I called Amazon Customer Service while in the store for clarification and he was loud and rude to them as well,while in the meantime talking to his co-worker(the older gentleman) in another language. I felt he was talking negatively about me to the other employee right in my face by the way the older gentleman was looking at me as he spoke. He finally taped the box without charging me because he said he had to close and I had already made him stay to 6:10. Still not sure why I had to buy a box when I brought my package in boxed up, or why the cost was more than twice the quote.

I walked in the store and the manager with the pink hair was talking to the other worker talking about a customer who called the store and didn't get an answer the lady lived near by. When she got to the store she asked why weren't they answering the phone when no one was in the store! The girl with the pink hair, proceeded to speak badly about the customer and how shes not doing anything above her pay grade! I explained to her that I had a return code emailed to me by Amazon for her to scan an print the label. She advised me that it was to go to the post office. I left and drove to the post office to find out she should have taken my packages! I wet back to the UPS and went to explain to her that she was supposed to take the packages and how she had me running across town lugging to large boxes when all she had to do was listen to what I told her in the first place! I wasn't yelling but I wasn't nice either! She in turn started to exchange words and got rude and irate with me! telling me I should be glad I have a car with gas! I told her to just do my transaction so I could go! After being threatened that she wont do it! Once it was done she asked me if I wanted a receipt I said of course I want a receipt! When she gave it to me I snatched it and she tells me dont be snatching shit from me I almost smacked your ass! I told her I DARE YOU! This heifer came from around the counter and got in my face (about 2') with no mask on! I told her hit me smack me and se what happens I dared her again. Then she started telling me to leave her store! I told her Im not going no where put me out! She called the cops and said another irate customer I said I can see why cause your a B....! After realizing she was only mouth i left the store! read more
