We recently had a disgusting experience at the UPS store located in Dania Beach Florida, store # 5500. We visited the store to fax some sensitive documents. Since the line was busy, we were told by the employee Louis that our paperwork would be shredded after it was faxed. However, we later found out that this did not happen, and the manager, Jason, refused to return our paperwork, claiming that it was already scheduled to be shredded. This is a serious breach of privacy and a clear violation of company policy. To make matters worse, the manager's behavior was completely unprofessional. He became irate and screamed at us, leaving us feeling disrespected and frustrated. He even hung up the phone on us, which was completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we've had an issue with this store. We previously did not receive proof of drop off print outs, after dropping off our Amazon returns, worth a couple of thousand dollars, which puts us at risk of fraud. Only after we started to ask for the owners name they tried to fix the non print issue. So we now contacted our attorney and UPS corporate and will not stop until this manager is gone, going by the other reviews as well as the neighborhood app reviews ,this intellectually deprived entitled clown is out of control and has just met the one family that will make sure he understands we do not accept this kind of behavior. read more

I've been in Dania for about 15 years and I always go to Hollywood for print/package services. This location is a tad small, but I figured I'd try it. I'm so glad I did. I called before my visit and was greeted very cheerily. He said his name was Jason and he invited me to come in so he could help me out. I identified him quickly because he looked as friendly as he sounded. He came around to help me do everything and smiled the whole time. He wished me happy holidays as I left. I went here to get my passport photos taken. The manager and the other worker there were so personable yet professional. They genuinely wanted to help me and they seemed super excited to be at work. I have never ever desired to have a need to return to a UPS store in my life, but after the care and attention Lisa gave me at this location, I find myself hoping for a reason to return and patron her store again. I had been traveling for nearly an entire day, across two continents. I needed to get something notarized and faxed back to me. I had absolutely no sleep and nothing to eat for that day. Lisa was not only helpful in getting the documents notarized and sent to their required places, but she also was a sounding board of sanity as I needed to spend the next several hours waiting for my return fax. I found her to be humorous, empathetic, kind, and incredibly professional and diligent. I profess that if all CSR's were as attentive as Lisa, Fedex would be out of business. The man with the glasses was extremely sarcastic for no reason other than to make me feel stupid for his own personal pleasure. I use this location for all of my priority mail and package shipping needs. The staff is always friendly, fast and very knowledgeable. VERY DISAPPOINTED! We shipped a package on Monday from our office to this UPS store using the UPS.com website. We mailed our package to this store so that our employee could pick it up no later than Wednesday to meet a critical deadline on a project. It was imperative for him to receive the package in time. The store would NOT accept the package due to their policies and never called to let us know. Instead, they sent the package back to us. I called the store and the person who answered said, " it was their policy as an individual store not to hold packages if the receiver is not a mailbox holder." Did we ever receive a phone call to let us know that they were sending the package back to us? NO! We lost thousands of dollars and time due to an unknown "independently owned store" policy. Using common sense or at least CARING ABOUT YOUR PATRONS would be so little to ask! When I spoke to this representative on the phone and asked for their name, they hung up on me. Dropped off a DELL laptop and an Amazon package and asked for receipt. DELL laptop ended up "vanishing" with no tracking activity- was never delivered to DELL. When I looked at the receipt, the guy had scanned the Amazon package twice, not the DELL laptop. When trying to figure out what happened they were of no help. ZERO. I had to tell this guy to call his manager...I had to tell him every thing to do. The manager didnt help either, wouldnt even speak to me, only relayed thru the big oaf that I had to complain to DELL. They said they had video of when I dropped it off...but wouldn't look at it or offer any extra help. I expect EFFORT when the big oaf scanned the Amazon package twice instead of the DELL laptop. Completely APATHETIC, so much so that I believe one of them is enjoying a DELL laptop. read more

I had something sent to another state and it was lost for a few days. Besides that they told me that if I shipped the item ground, it would get to destination on a certain date. This review is for UPS store 5500 at 398 E Dania Beach Blvd. I had some old ceramic lamps shipped. They were perfectly packed and despite being delicate arrived in immaculate condition. The price was better than two other places who quoted and pick-up and shipping were very quick. I especially liked that they used air bags and bubble wrap instead of styrofoam "popcorn" which is a nightmare to dispose of. read more

I have been going to this location at least twice a week for the past two or three years.This location sometimes gets a little hectic but they can usually take the time to help me resolve issues. I am not very computer savy so I sometimes need help if scanning or printing anything. Staff is friendly and they have a sense of humor. Only issue is they will send but won't receive faxes. Do NOT go to this Ups store . The owner is a thief. I was there in April and asked if they would receive my dive bag if I shipped it back. They said yes but the would charge $10. My brother and I shipped our bags from Boston . They received on Monday at 3:05. We got an e mail from UPS. When we got to the store . The clerk said that will be $90.00. We asked why. He said the owner Omar sets the prices. We asked to see him and he said he wasn't there. We paid the $90. I called and sent emails. Got a reply that said he wasn't Ups he was a franchise and could set what ever price he wanted. I am a very busy guy that never does reviews but will from now on to save people from being robbed.
