This UPS store is in a great location. The staff are great and do their best to keep the line moving. As busy as I am I appreciate that. This store has all your packaging supplies including cards. There are copiers of you need copies made as well. I thought my package that had two books- the Giving Tree and a I love mommy puppet book was very pricey. Was charged $31.00. I was astounded but stuck. I didn't realize they would charge me so much for a box. I already had bubble paper and all ready. Anyway lesson learned. read more

I rarely return anything that I purchase online because the return process can be overwhelming and challenging. I recently ordered some black pants from Amazon however they are extremely too small. Although, I read the reviews and ordered a size up they just won't work for me. Amazon, gave me the option to drop the pants off at a local UPS store without requiring packaging or shipping fees. I screenshot the QR code becatI wasn't sure that I'd br able to navigate back to thie screen since Amazon thought it would be a great idea to make changes to the app. I made my way to the UPS store in Afton Ridge in Concord. The line wasn't long & the employees seemed upbeat. I walked up to the counter and the young man greeted me. I apologized because I was shuffling through the app & couldn't find the returns area but luckily I had the picture in my phone. It took some digging but just like that I was done with my transaction. It was so simple. I waste tons of money because I never return items that don't work for me. I have used this UPS store frequently, but I probably will avoid doing so in the future. Unfortunately it seems this location operates in a chaotic manner. On two occasions within the past 6 months I have had two packages not arrive (one not at all and one significantly delayed). I have observed that staff oftentimes lays the printed label (that they print out) on top of the package (without affixing it to the package, intending to attach it later) and pushes the package to the side to tend to the next customer (Instead of securing the label to the package immediately). In my opinion this leaves too much room for error. What if the package gets knocked off the counter or the label falls on the floor unnoticed, etc? I believe this is what may have happened in my two instances. The first lost package was a return to Amazon which the store simply had to scan and print then ship. I later received alert from Amazon that the package was never received. The second was a first class letter via USPS which was estimated to arrive in 2-3 days (of course, not guaranteed), but it has been 6 days and when I run the tracking # it indicates that the item was never picked up by USPS. I signed up for tracking alerts on my phone and received an alert that the tracking number is invalid (I double checked). Now I have no choice but to wait and hope that the mail arrives to the recipient. I contacted the store about my latest issue and staff insisted that they no longer had the letter and that USPS indeed picked it up. It was recommended that I contact local USPS. However, in this particular instance the clerk definitely laid my letter aside without attaching it to the mail (because he had to put it inside of a 1st class mailer). I guess it is partially my fault for not requesting he affix it immediately while in my presence. However, shortly after he set it aside another clerk came and picked it up inquiring about it so I assumed she would take care of it. For all I know she may have gotten distracted and laid it elsewhere. I will from now on request the label be attached in my presence, at another ups store. ...Lesson learned! read more
