The Yelp reviews closely mirror my experience. I initially spoke with Lloyd, who came to my home to assess the items. I pointed out several fragile pieces, and he assured me that his team would wrap them, including a jewelry stand, vases, and pictures. He provided a quote for $702.50, and we scheduled the move for August 14 between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. At 10:24 a.m., I texted to ask for an updated arrival time and received a response of ten minutes. The movers arrived at 10:55 a.m. Once they began, the process appeared to be going smoothly. While they were packing the truck, I was transporting boxes in my car to the destination. After they completed the move and began unloading, I returned to my home and discovered that several items had been left behind. When I notified them, they stated they could not take the vases and pictures because they were not packed. I reminded them of my conversation with Lloyd, and I also pointed out a bench that had been left in the dining room. They then agreed to return for the remaining items. While unloading, I witnessed one mover attempt to place my dining table on a dolly without wrapping it. The table rolled off, and the leaf fell out. I took photos. When I addressed this with the lead mover, he suggested repairing it with wood glue, which was unacceptable. At the end of the job, I was charged $897.00 and informed that they accept only cash, Cash App, or Zelle, which prevents any credit card dispute. I contacted Lloyd regarding the damaged table, the items left behind, and the lack of proper wrapping. He stated he was not aware of the damage and later claimed he had fired the movers because they were using his business to start their own. When I inspected my storage unit, I found the items packed in an unsafe and poorly organized manner, with heavy items stacked on top of unstable pieces. My mattress and bedframe were placed at the front, and other items were at risk of tipping over. Lloyd agreed the unit was poorly packed and came with his daughter to help me get to some boxes that were stacked very high. also showed him the condition of my sofa and bedframe, which were only partially wrapped, resulting in dirt on the sofa. When I sent photos of the damage, Lloyd did not mention filing a claim. Instead, he offered to pay out of pocket but said he could not do so immediately due to family issues. After giving him thirty days, he sent $200 through Zelle and stated that no further reimbursement would be provided. Although Lloyd was polite, he consistently avoided accountability and offered multiple excuses. Based on my experience, I do not recommend AMEN Movers. The lack of care, inconsistency, and overall inconvenience outweighed any benefit of supporting a local business. Of course you see a one star because I had to but definitely Zero stars. I reached out daily and they would not respond. When they did finally arrive 4 weeks after packing up our home in California, the main guy rushed us and boxes were falling out of the truck, it was packed so tight. We are missing valuable items, broken items, I received other people's items. Stole cash out of my purse while I was on a business call. Quadrupled our quote and they will not refund a penny. Only wanted cash after the first deposit, I found out other moving companies do not require cash. They would not unload until I handed them the cash and then put 90% of the items in the basement even though they were all marked with specific rooms. I had to hall all the boxes up the stairs and put them in the correct rooms. We have been in NC for 6 months and I am still realizing more and more boxes they did not unload that were ours. I will never us a moving company again, I will take the time and pack a POD myself and get help from family and friends. Then I will know my items will make it safe. By the time they were done they charged us $20,000.00, our house in CA was 1400 sq feet. I would have been better off selling everything and starting over in NC and just brought clothes. We had the master bedroom, living room couch, dining room table & chairs and my husband's desk along with boxes of clothes, Christmas items and patio furniture. $20,000.00 pretty much broke us to get started over in NC. They will hold you hostage because they won't give you any $$ back once they give you the final quote. They expect you to know exactly how many boxes you will have on your first phone call. They never gave me a final bill to file with my tax guy, so I am having to sift through all my Zelle payments, cash withdrawals and proving to him what we paid. I was told by the broker the crew was professional and well trained. When to crew arrived, they were not professionals, but people picked up from the street. They had no idea on how to pack especially fragile pieces. Consequently, I had to follow them around and tell them how to pack fragile items. On several times I found them packing China by just stacking the pieces together with our packing material. As a result, several pieces of everyday and good China were broken. When I unpacked boxes, I found items just thrown in together with no packing to protect them. When they started on a Saturday, they were late and had seven people to pack when they told me they would return the next day they were three hours late and had half the people to complete the packing so they went and got people off the street who could not speak English. After waiting two weeks to get a delivery date they finally got moving. When the van arrived it was the driver and one person to unload what it took seven people to pack. As a result, thigs were not put in right areas or just piled up in the garage with boxes marked fragile on the bottom of stacks of boxes full of books. In reality, it took a five man crew five hours on Sunday to finish the work. Not only did Accelerated Deliveries fail to complete the job, the part they did complete almost made things worse. Items meant for downstairs were put upstairs, belongings were left piled in the garage, and one of the crew admitted it was only his second day ever moving. I hired them because of their reviews, but after working with them it seems like they are more suited for moving college dorm rooms than a 5,000 square foot house. AJ, the owner, was cool and apologetic on the phone, but then he followed up by sending me a demand letter for payment on an incomplete job. UPDATE: I've disputed the charges with AJ the owner and he has not been responsive in a resolution. He fraudulently processed a payment on our credit card with no authorization form. He pulled the card info from our deposit and charged the card without our permission despite a very transparent dispute of the chargers and me having to hire another company that cost me $3,000+ to finish their job.

One of their two drivers quit, and they had no one to operate their non-CDL 26-ft trucks. I was told the earliest they could move me was Monday, August 4th. I made it clear that I had to be out of my house by Sunday, August 3rd, and waiting until Monday was not an option. I asked for alternatives--a late Saturday move, a Sunday move, a discount, a referral to another provider--anything. The manager told me, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do," and only offered to return my deposit. It took nearly 72 hours for a confirmation email to be sent that my deposit was refunded and that was only after I emailed the business and requested it . I spoke with their scheduler and felt assured that Reign would be the one we would use, even though they seemed to be a bit more expensive. A few weeks before we knew our moving date, we did a Face Time walk through of the old home to get an idea of what the cost would likely be. The date and time were set, the morning arrived and Reign was right on schedule. The guys worked hard, took their time to wrap furniture, appreciated the lunch we bought for them, and left for the new house where I met them. Some things were stacked (wardrobe boxes on top of each other), a few boxes were in the wrong room, the garage was left in disarray, a fern stand had fallen over and had a broken base, and the treadmill was not reassembled. Reign had made arrangements to have two follow-up movers come when the first "shift" ended, so these two young men unstacked the stacked boxes, arranged the garage, went back with us to the old house and checked to see that everything was delivered, moved a few leftover items that we missed, put the fern stand in the truck, and tried to reassemble the treadmill. When they could not, they asked us to call Jason, the owner. Jason immediately dispatched another employee who also could not reassemble the treadmill. Not to be outdone, Jason called us and said that he was sending another employee who would arrive first thing the next morning to fix the treadmill. Two young men arrived about 8:30 and had the treadmill together in a few minutes. Of course, that is not the end of the story because moving is never a one-day event--and ours began to unfold with some items that needed to be addressed. The movers had "dinged" a few spots in the old house, which took about a week to repair because Jason uses a man whom he trusts to do a good job, and this man was not available right away. When it was finally completed, the repair was flawless. Then we noticed a dining room piece was damaged, so we sent a picture to Jason who came to inspect and assure us that it would be fixed. While he was with us, he noticed a small scratch on the floor in the dining room, so he helped my husband put felt pads under the table legs and on each chair leg. This was above and beyond anything we had experienced in the past. Again, we had to wait to get the dining room server repaired because Jason uses a furniture repairman who does a remarkable job in repairing damaged wood. He even stabilized the piece while he had it. I might not have been happy waiting, but I was delighted with the finished product. After a few days in the new house, I reached for a file in our filing cabinet and discovered it was in bad shape from the move. When I called Jason, he said not to worry; he was coming to our house to help. This is where his customer service will astound you if you have ever dealt with moving companies who just give you a check and make you sign a document that releases them from further responsibility. Instead of attempting to fix the filing cabinet, he suggested just purchasing another to replace it that would be similar cost. He and I picked out one that seemed identical, his warehouse team came to our house and assembled the new one, realized it would not work so they called Jason who told me to order whatever I wanted. Expensive jewelry was missing immediately after our move. We discovered that two expensive pieces of diamond jewelry were missing, including my wife's diamond engagement ring and diamond tennis necklace. The jewelry was in her bedside table the night before the move, was never packed, and Reign's crew was the only outside group in our home with access during that time. We immediately contacted Reign and filed a police report. CMPD classified the incident as "All Other Thefts," documented the diamond engagement ring as missing property, and opened an investigation. Reign's owner, Jason Julian, dismissed our concerns as "accusations" because we could not prove that one of his employees physically took the jewelry. Obviously, we did not anticipate needing to videotape or search the movers before they left our home to establish whether anything had been taken. Based on our experience, I would NEVER use Reign Moving Solutions again, and I strongly caution others before allowing this company into their home.
