UPDATE: Mr. Jallow, do not lie that I didn't tell you that the mailbox is for business because even before I came to the store to rent the box I called over the phone to inquire if you have any available boxes for business and when I came there I was very clear that I needed a SMALL box for my COMPANY. I was even more clear that packages are not expected but only letters... very little letters. And to post this response accusing me of posting a fake review after you guys didn't do your job properly, didn't fill out my business information after I asked multiple time that you do so, and the store owner even didn't give me the 1583 form for signature considering that without it USPS cannot legally deliver my mail to this location. Do you seriously think that I can't show the documents given to me at the time of service to show people that you forgot to ask me to sign the 1583 form? And YOU, Mr. Jallow, called me multiple times yesterday to pressure me and try to make me remove this review or upgrade it to a 5 start because I quote "you need it to be a five star" in exchange for a refund. That you gave me conditions that if I ever need to use this store again the review needs to be upgraded to a 5 star. Why would I want to use your services again anyway if they are so poor and if there are two other UPS stores in a walk distance on W North Ave and on Clybourn ave. And you mister store manager asked me not to mention any names in the review and you called it "rude" that I simply shared my experience with this store and when I proceeded to tell you that what you put me through and the way I was treated in your store is rude you hung up the phone on me. You have no five but ZERO STARS from me. At least have the integrity to apologize for everything you did wrong but instead of that you are claiming that the review is fake in your desperate effort to clear your image. These kids are helpful and shrewd about giving the best value for packing and shipping your stuff. It's nice to feel that someone is on your side. You can buy boxes etc. or have them do it for you. Remember getting a package in the mail when you were a kid? It felt like winning the lottery. Go to the dollar store and Walgreens or Target and get a bunch of Halloween (or whichever) nick nacks and candy for your nieces and nephews. Coloring book & crayons. LED flashlight. The kids and their parents will be happy and grateful. Amazon doesn't control everything yet. So use the mail to strengthen human connections, before they brainwash us into thinking Jeff Bezos and Visa are the only family we need. read more

Mainly use this location for Amazon returns which is often A few times per month. Sometimes they can be busy, but it's because of the variety of services they offer. The staff is always friendly, even when they are busy. There is a bald man who works there who is especially friendly and I am always happy to see when I make my returns. I recently left my keys there, and in the three minutes it took me to go back to the store he had already put them aside for me. Places like this can be hit or miss, but I am quite happy with my local UPS store! read more

I have used the UPS store at 47 W. Division over the past 10 years and have always been happy with them. However, I shipped about 20 boxes this past weekend was overwhelmed by their professionalism, calm and cheerful demeanors. They had consistent business all three times I was in the store. People were lined up out the door. The post office had not picked up their outgoing mail/boxes in three days and they had no storage space. Yet, Tig and Allyson had smiles on their faces the entire time and managed to give each customer their time and patience. I highly recommend this store! read more

It is hard to imagine a more incompetent store. Mailed a package 11/8, no signature required. Clerk apparently noted in the system (not shown on my receipt) that signature WAS required. Party receiving the package works during delivery hours. Left tag to leave package. Wasn't left. After three attempts, package was sent to the local lock box for pickup. Receiver was by then on trip to Japan, without the contents of the box. Called UPS store and was told that after X days, the package would be returned to their store and I could pick it up. Have been out of town until today. Went to store and asked Carlos to check for package. He checked system, 'package returned to sender 11/26'. He said it wasn't there, but he didn't physically look. Told me to call the 1-800 number to file a claim. I insisted he call the number, on store phone, which he argued against doing, but finally relented. The recorded message said the package had been returned to sender. He still refused to look in the store. Told me he'd take my info for manager to call my Monday, even after I had told him repeatedly I would be away for a couple of weeks. He took another customer and left me standing there. By then, the lovely woman working with him checked the same system he had, walked over the the returned items, and picked up my box from the top, clearly labeled! By this time store was cleared of customers except me, and I told him in a heated tone that he was incompetent, a f...ing liar, and he ought to be fired. Yup, was that mad! Doubt he's ever heard those words either...eye roll.. He told me I was harassing him and threatened to call the police. Really? He NEVER apologized, all about him being "yelled at" by an old very angry woman. And the best? The idiot clerk who required the signature that I did not request was CARLOS! By the way, this is the same store that paid me $600 for failing to properly pack and ship an antique Singer Featherweight sewing machine. Needless to say, I will NEVER use them again! read more

DISGUSTING customer service. First, I witnessed the manager Tig calling a customer a 'f*ing old hag' after he thought she left the store (news for you: she was standing around the corner and hadn't left yet). The other clerk - whose name I didn't catch, became unhinged and bent out of shape when someone asked for a receipt with the tracking number. I was appalled at the treatment of their customers, especially in front of other customers. The past 3 times that I have visited this store, these guys have been agitated, condescending, and do not respect their customers. read more

Superior service! Had a problem with timing of package delivery it took Clay, the manager, 5 seconds to find the shipment which he will trace and make sure it's delivered to the right address. I went in here in the beginning of the week and the guy who helped me was great. Had a smile on his face, was kind, and tapped on the shipping label for me so I didn't have to. All around great, quick, experience. I went in there again today, this time another guy helped me, he too was great. I went in there with my baby and he helped me print out my labels and close up my box so I wouldn't be In there too long with my little one. Back in 2005 I spent around $700 for their "expert packing and shipping services" I should have known since it was a bunch on teenage kids behind the counter that it was a terrible idea. (Division and Dearborn location) I sent 6 large, and yeah, heavy packages. One never came. the rest all had damaged items. The fact the driver even delivered a package to my grandparents/parents house where it was ripped down the side and you could see the contents practically spilling out is insane. I insured said items for $1200. I spent many hours on the phone with the corporate offices, the store, and the driver. One (male) driver even asked my 74 year old grandma to help him lift the package off the truck because it was too heavy for him!!! Another driver dropping off a damaged package (ya know, the one with the tear) was like "This one doesn't look good" You would think the "insurance" would cover something. Nope. At the very least I just wanted some kind of refund, especially for the package that never came. Nope. I have never used them since. read more

This wasn't my first visit to this UPS Store. It's where I always go when I need to ship something. Haven't had a bad experience yet. UPS'd (yes I'm using it as a verb) my Christmas gifts tonight. Was expecting mass chaos, but I was one of the only people there. I found Rafael to be pleasant and very competent. I feel pretty confident that my package will arrive when I expect it to. Do I think that almost $9 for a box is a lot, yes. Oh well. Next time I'll bring my stuff pre-packaged and ready to go. I'm going to continue coming to this UPS Store. read more

I have been coming here for ages and have exceptional service from Carlos but the new people are far from courteous. I walked in and I was the only one there and waited for him to ask if he could help me. He said, "Yeah what do you want?" I wanted to buy a book of stamps BUT WITH THAT ATTITUDE I said, "I'll pass." If he is one of the owners he should go to class for "Customer Service" and how it's done. If he dislikes his customers that much he should give it up or be put in the area where he works only with stamping boxes. I WAS SHOCKED.
