Just had three documents notarized for $45! Since I have never paid for notary services, I relied on the word of the UPS employee (the notary) that $45 for three documents is the 'going rate' for notary services. However, I just learned that many banks provide free (or low cost) services for customers, as well as public libraries. I feel robbed and taken advantage of. This specific store has been my go-to for the last five years. But after this experience, will look for a different location with a different owner. Robbery!!!! read more

I have been coming to this UPS location, mostly because it is a convenient location to my work and home, for several years now. For years, my experience was always pleasant and some of the employees were genuinely nice and often remembered my name or repetitive shipping locations. I am not quite sure what has changed over the last 6-9 months (granted they did a full renovation inside, which is nice and some of the regular employees have changed), but the attitude in the store is not good. It seems as though the current employees are annoyed with you if you have questions, need to do something more complicated than getting a QR code scanned, etc. I am not complaining about their work or ability, but the fact that it has become almost unpleasant to do any sort of business there. I have dealt with multiple members of the staff, and everyone is always polite, helpful, and friendly. Working in customer service can be challenging to say the least, and I always appreciate it when I meet people who can do it professionally, and seem genuinely happy to help. I have been to this particular UPS store twice to send a return back to Amazon. The first time I ignored the fact that the employee was completely annoyed that my return was not already packaged and ready to ship. I just went again tonight and was greeted with the same disgusted looks and smirks because I again needed to buy packaging. I finally said something that they advertise as a "packaging" store so I'm not sure why I get the weird looks and attitudes. I would think they would want people to spend money on their supplies. Well the owner proceeded to tell me to get out and I told her I would leave after I send my return. Next thing I know a man comes from the back and starts staring me down with his arms crossed. I told him multiple times he was making me uncomfortable. I just found it so odd they give such attitude to customers wanting to spend money on their store. Never again. read more

I was shipping a birthday gift to Richmond, VA for delivery 07.10.15. Tracking 24 hours later indicated it was delayed to 07.13.15 missing my Mom's birthday. When I call the store back to find out what and what could be done, the clerk offered to call UPS. He called back to say that it had been miss-routed by UPS and I would get a refund if it wasn't delivered Friday as promised. I was pretty angry but the follow up must have encouraged UPS to fix it because the package was delivered in time for her birthday. I've only been to this location a handful of times because it's the closest to me. Yesterday I went in and it reeked of marijuana. The guys working there were smoking in the office, I nearly got a contact high! Also, they are not very pleasant or courteous. I felt like an imposition doing business there. i love the ups on the vfw pkwy. i read all these bad service, attitude etc reviews and have no idea when these people were in. i go there once a week at least. between kids and grand kids, as well as when kids were in college, they have been invaluable. yesterday i was sending something back to canada and didn't have the tel no of the recipient so ups couldn't deliver. guy was so good in telling me to go to post office and i didn't need a tel no for them. i've never met this owner but the people who man the store regularly are efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous, maybe some one was having a bad day when one of the negative reviewers was there. it does get really hectic at times and i can find myself discombobulated then as well. they try hard to keep things moving. i i'm highly critical and they meet my expectations. i wouldn't go anywhere else. amt west roxbury read more

I went to this UPS store today to mail a few items and left wishing I went to the post office. The lady behind the counter made me feel dumb for not understanding the difference between some of their options. I tried to be patient since it was near their closing time and I apologized for being not understanding and she rolled her eyes! They are friendly enough, but a young female employee stole a few Patagonia jackets out of my return shipping box and I was charged $400 for the theft. I knew it was her because she was small and the jackets missing were small. I would not suggest going there. read more

Absolutely terrible service. The customer services personnel are disrespectful and rude. We were first helped by a woman (who laughed in my face when I asked for a manager's contact info) and a man (who not only encouraged her behavior, but was so unprofessional that my husband questioned if he even worked there. When we asked where we could file a complaint, the man yelled over the counter, "Go on Yelp!!," and laughed at us). My husband is a US Navy veteran and has been diagnosed with PTSD, and he was so angry at the way the workers were ridiculing us and our experience that he couldn't even speak - I was actually worried for a second that he would have an episode. From the other reviews I have read, it doesn't seem that the owner is very responsive, so I have contacted the UPS corporate office to file my grievance. We have also told a number of our friends and co-workers to stay clear of this location. Seeing that the Rozzie/WR/Chestnut Hill community is small and tight-night, I do not see this store getting much business after some time. There is just enough public distaste toward this store and its employees that the owner will have to pay attention and eradicate the nuisance before risking its demise. read more

I've been going here for many years. I, too, miss the previous owner. About today, I have never been so rudely treated by a store employee. I handed him a wrapped package on which I had attached a homemade decoration, with 3-D cut out that would bounce. I asked him to put it in a box, because he was just going to put the mailing tag on it. As he was shoving it into a box, the decoration were ripping off. I tried to stop him and said "wait the decorations are ripping off." Then he started badly taping them with clear strapping tape and it was all a mess. It made my gift look like a piece of crap. When I said "look what you did," he threw the package down, walked away and said, "I don't have time for this." Then the manager came up and took care of my order. I asked for the other employee's name. He refused to give it to me. I've called to speak with the owner. At 1:30 I was told she'd be in, in an hour. Called again and was told by the same manager that she was not there. I'll never come again. read more

The young people that work are awesome , but an older woman (manager?) was very rude. She was half on the phone telling a trainee how to ship my item. The trainee was really nice but didn;t know what she was doing(hence...trainee) The woman had an attitude problem kept putting her hand up when i asked a question about the price . And she rolled her eyes at me which i have a serious problem with especially first thing in the morning after waiting in line forever bc she was too busy in the back to help the one kid that was on the register. Love this ups store location. I came and needed some documents copied and notarized, a fax sent and an overnight shipment sent out. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They had me in and out of the store within a couple minutes. The store is always clean and presentable especially compared to how the previous owner used to keep the store. UPS is a bit more costly than USPS sometimes but with the service I receive from the employees its completely worth the prices. I have never had a problem here and refuse to go to any other store. read more

I was in yesterday just to drop off a box to return to a vendor . The woman who tried to " help" me, (HER CUSTOMER who is DEFINITELY NOT EVER RIGHT) proceeded to tell me that I put the label on incorrectly and would likely not get my money back from the vendor. She said that no one ever labels things in this manner. ( apparently only dummies like me). She told me I had no common sense and asked how I thought the vendor could ever sell this item again. I assured her I had followed explicit directions on how to return this item. She could not be convinced. Even after I called the vendor and told her, she emphatically told me I was wrong, over and over again, lecturing me on how to return something. She was loud, unprofessional and embarrassed me, shouted at me from 20 feet away as I tried to leave. She called me rude and yelled in a sarcastic voice " the customer is always right". I have tried to reach the owner of the UPS store. To no avail. Her male co- worker egged her on. Making no effort to be a professional. The owner evidentially owns 2 other UPS stores. She needs to assess her staff and RE- TRAIN them. This woman made a scene just because she thought she was right and had to have the last word. I will never go there again. I suggest people send this packages with some other company. read more
