Overnight package (overnight for a reason) got delivered to the wrong address (not sure where, since the picture of delivery didn't show any number on the door it was delivered at. Called. Was told we will look into it. 2 days later got an email saying we are looking into it. Called back later the same day. The person on the phone told me " we are looking into it". Tried to call again. The automated phone system would not even let me to talk to a human (no matter how much i tried to adjust my request to talk to a representative). After a very frustrating email and trying to get any answer, i got: "I am expecting the courier to retrieve and redeliver the package today." No "i am so sorry". No "that is the info I got". Nothing... i still dont know whee the package is. If you expect the courier to retrieve it, it doesn't mean it is there to be retrieved. It has been almost 3 days. Horrible! read more

I am extremely disappointed with the FedEx Ship Center in Needham. We paid extra money to have a shipment of Christmas cards delivered in time for the holidays, yet the package is still very late and has not arrived. Not only have we been unable to get a customer service representative on the phone, but the people at the center have been extremely rude when we have gone in person to inquire about the status of our package. After my last six shipments from FedEx have been delivered more than a day late, it is clear fed ex is going downhill. Furthermore I went in to pick up my package because of the most recent delay and despite me having multiple photos of various licenses and certifications on my phone as well as Fed ex employees doing a Google search on my company and my photo came up as the owner within the Google search, They still denied me my package without a physical ID which I had happen to leave in one of my other vans when I took an hour and a half out of my day to go pick up a package they were supposed to deliver yesterday!And to top it off after the woman at the counter realized I didn't have a physical ID with me she threw my package on the ground!! Since I've flown with a photo of ID from my phone and I can pay for anything with my phone, I think that's more than enough verification for a Fed ex package! Today's (6/21/2023) headline, "FEDEX STOCK SLUMPS..." duh. This company is destined for demise. In the past week I had overnight delivery and they said I wasn't home but left no receipts etc. They don't realize that today we also have technology where we can see the truck and the delivery driver at our door a mile away. The truck did not even come to my address. I mean if you are going to ask your drivers to lie at least train them to lie in a way that has some balls. I don't know what was going on today, the woman at the counter was incredibly nice to the woman in front of me and then combative and aggressive with me when all I was doing was picking up a package that I had a slip for, within the appropriate time frame. I didn't even mention the fact that both myself and someone else were home when the slip was left on my door and neither of use heard the bell or a knock in a very small apartment... because I know that wouldn't accomplished anything. Easily the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a major company. I ordered 2 brand new phones which were supposed to be delivered via this branch. The shipment required a signature, no problem..this was the shipper's policy, not fedex. The day it was set to be delivered I had to work so asked my downstairs neighbor to be on the lookout and please sign for the package. When I checked the status later, there was supposedly an attempt made to deliver, but unsuccessfully. Downstairs neighbor, who I have been living with for 6 years and trust very much had been home with the door open looking out for the package and confirmed that no, there was never an attempt made. I should also mention there is gas line work being done literally right in front of my house, making the delivery to that portion of the house nearly impossible. So cool, I'll just call and relay that info to a rep and have the package held at the Needham branch..easy, right? Apparently not, I was told by the representative that this is not possible. No reason for why, just it could not be done. However she will make a note for me to be contacted the next day prior to delivery so I'm home. So okay, I'll just take the next day off from work and wait for my new phones. The following day rolls around and I'm literally outside in my driveway working on my truck when I get a text that my package is here. Weird I didn't see a truck pull up or drop anything off.... Spent all day getting the runaround between fedex and the shipper before finally talking to someone at the station who tells me the driver handed my package to 'a man in a jacket and hat who was standing on my front porch smoking a cigarette'. Now, remember the gas line work being done right in front of my house? There just so happened to be a police detail supervising and directing traffic around these OPEN GAS LINES. The thought of someone smoking a cigarette not more than 5 feet from these lines and flames and it not setting off some red flags doesn't add up. Oh yeah, also the men working and police officers on duty also saw no sign of either a truck pull up, or a mysterious man smoking a cigarette on my porch who just happened to sign my same last name with a different initial..Couldn't even get that one right huh? One last humorous anecdote; I have a motion sensing camera pointed at the front door which surely would have captured this supposed delivery, Marlboro man, or both. Nothing set it off that morning except for some movement from the workers. This incident has led to me spending 4 hours on the phone with fedex customer support the last couple days, where they will bear absolutely no responsibility for this issue because 'we have a signature and the driver is adamant that the delivered.' Well hey I'm pretty adamant that it simply didn't happen but sure, just treat your customers like garbage. Five years after my first review and now it's even worse. The fedex in Randolph is very good, I was forced to use needham again and never again. Counter person very rude and insisted on tracking number supposedly so he would know it's my package he checked my Id which is what every other Fedex does anyway but never needs the tracking number. Drive to Randolph or Framingham if you want good service, the needham ship center is useless !!! read more

The Needham FedEx supposedly attempted delivery yesterday but didn't leave a note when I wasn't there to sign, and they supposedly attempted delivery while I was home today (took the day off work to sign for this package!) watching the windows for a truck I never saw--they didn't ring the bell or try the intercom OR LEAVE A NOTE! Came to this location to pick up my package at 9:25pm and it was closed!!! They suppose close at 9:30pm today! I have been using this FedEx for 10 years to send packages to my son abroad. Everything went smoothly until the last time. An employee I had not seen before included packing slips inaccurately and incorrectly filled out which caused the package to be stuck in customs in India for three weeks. Due to the time difference, I was up every night trying to send India the correct information they needed to release the package. I spent over $200 and countless hours, days, and weeks sending and re-sending things they asked for. It was a nightmare and the package included important items that my son needed. I finally found email addresses for corporate employees at FedEx. I sent an email blast to all of them and received a call the next day. Within one day the package was released and delivered to my son. I went back to this FedEx office to let them know what their mistakes cost me and they said they didn't do anything wrong. India was to blame. They refused to take responsibility for their mistakes! read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I called 3x about a package that was supposed to be delivered and never came by the expected time, and I was hung up on all 3 times. This is the 2nd time in a month a half that the delivery never came, as specified. This is a business, and I can't wait around all day for a delivery that never comes and I can't get any straight answers when I call. Definitely use another carrier, if ever possible. Zero stars. I created a yelp account to write this review because I am FedUp with FedEx. I order many many items through amazon pime and I can not remember the last time I received a package sent through fedex on time. This is an incredibly unreliable terrible delivery service. Do not give them your money. Use UPS. Seriously. I had an item shipped overnight Saturday delivery mail. The tracking number said it was out for delivery. At around 5pm that night I got a message saying the package was delayed 1-2 days due to inclement weather. What? There were no weather problems whatsoever in my town, Needham, and the surrounding towns. Also, why would it say it was out for delivery and on the truck if it could not be delivered due to weather? Terrible. I received the item on monday. The label clearly stated "overnight Saturday delivery", it's hard to see how they could have messed that up and just ignored the guaranteed delivery. The exact same thing happened to me a few days later. An item was out for delivery and around 5 I got a message from amazon saying ti was delayed due to weather. THERE IS NO WEATHER PROBLEMS. On all of these days that there was "inclement weather" I received UPS packages on time. It seriously pisses me off that they would forget to deliver it, realize they forgot to deliver it, and then simply say it was because of weather when it is a clear day with nothing on the ground. Ridiculous much? I decided to call fedex to voice my complaint. When I asked why it was not delivered as they were no weather problems they simply didn't answer me. I then asked if they just forgot to deliver it (they obviously did) and I was told that they are not allowed to answer that question. Just wow. Absolutely do not use Fedex as you express shipper during the holidays. They can not handle the package load and will promise to have your package to you the next day, and you will still be looking for it days later. You are guaranteed to experience the typical customer service run around, that's if you can get through to the 800 number. Oh FedEx. I had trouble receiving my package as my house has no main doorway nor did I want the package sitting on my housemate's the stoop all day/night. It was sent to Needham Shipping Center, I had requested both through an automated service AND then I followed up with a personal call to a representative to ensure the package would be brought to Waltham, MA. Fedex has a center there, a mere three towns over. They assured me both through the representative and then personally when I checked in Waltham that it would be no issue. I visited Waltham today, the woman told me that FedEx did not send emails and after showing her the emails I was getting she checked and told me my package was on it's way to Thailand. It was never sent to Waltham. I would say this is a failure of service at literally every level. I was at first happy FedEx was able to accommodate my request. I now wish FedEx was never involved. They couldn't even tell me where the package was being sent. Mind you this was their international service, how inept is that? Literally NEVER USE THIS COMPANY OR THIS SHIPPING CENTER. Specifically selected and paid for "TWO DAY DELIVERY" and when it came time for "delivery," the driver neglected to even knock or ring the doorbell to obtain the required signature. A call to rectify the issue resulted in about half an hour of waiting followed by a vague pledge to contact the local office, which in turn contacted me and was completely unapologetic, defensive, and rude in addressing my problem. The caller, a "customer service representative" had the nerve to claim the driver "might not have time to complete the request" (request being receiving my package on time) when the projected delivery time was three hours away and the business itself was four hours from closing. This was after her attempt to blame me for the issue by claiming the delivery person rang and knocked when this was clearly not the case. On top of this, the town this particular FedEx is in is a mere 15-20 minutes away from my residence, further devalidating the "customer service representative's" claim. When told that I would file a Better Business Bureau complaint if the "customer service representative's" attitude didn't change and my package was not delivered in a timely fashion, the "representative" snapped back with, "go ahead." Issues from management all the way to delivery at this branch and all refuse to admit it. This incident alone will most likely have me never utilize FedEx's services again. Cannot stress enough how uncommitted and indifferent to customers' needs this branch is. Have filed BBB complaint. read more
