I am shocked by how consistent the management is at this UPS store on hiring rude, snot face clerks to work the counter. I get to the UPS store at 8:30 when they're supposed to be open and they're not open yet. The clerk finally opens the doors and takes my package. As she's talking to me about the box requirements, she gets very rude with me. This is not the first time I've had to deal with condescending rude tone from these clerks. I am only giving two stars because of the convenience of where this UPS store is located. For years, this store has struggled with providing quality customer service. I have had multiple issues using the UPS location in the QFC shopping center near SE 192nd Ave and SE 34th St. Today was the last time that I will ever attempt to use that location. Consistently, they have issues with the printer taking a long time to print my docs (one time it was 45 minutes), and today when trying to leave an Amazon package to return, they were unable to print a label for me. But wait, aren't they a printing company? I know that it is only this location that has terrible service. And it is primarily because they need to upgrade their technology and/or infrastructure. The people at the counter are mostly OK, but sometimes they are snappish due to so many customers complaining (I'm guessing). I highly recommend that you take a moment to visit the UPS store on Chaklov Dr in Vancouver. They are extremely nice, knowledgeable, and seem to be able to accomplish anything I've asked them to do for me, so far. The location that is near me is dysfunctional and should visit the Chaklov location to discover how a UPS store is REALLY supposed to work. read more

I'm only giving this review one star because it makes me otherwise I would give them zero. I sent two packages today to my relatives and both of the boxes I had to buy a new box for. One was a thermal box which I understand so I had to pay for a new box to repackage that but the other box was a Kohl's box that I reused, and it had a little tiny marking on one side, which they considered damaged I guess. The only reason I noticed this was because they charge me $100 to send this box and when I questioned it, they told me it was because it was damaged and so they had to put an extra fee on there instead of being upfront with me and telling me that they were going to charge me an extra $50 I had to ask first as to why it was priced so high. And when I looked at the box, I couldn't believe that they considered it damaged. It had a little tiny neck on one side, which wouldn't even be considered a dent or a hole so then they made me pay for another box to put that in which was another $10 and then they cut the price back down to 62+ the $10 so it ended up being $72 for that box. talk about being sneaky to make your company an extra $50. Refusing the whole situation just felt very shady. If I wasn't in a hurry to get them out in the mail today, I would've taken them somewhere elseI will never use this location again. read more

I've been to this location quite a bit since I own my own business and drop off packages and ship etc. Today, I had an Amazon return and wasn't aware that they charge $3 to put 3 small strands of tape on my package. They did offer me to purchase their over priced tape for $7 instead. I'd suggest taking your returns to Kohls where they don't charge you an absurd amount to tape up your package on Amazon returns. Their customer service has also gone down hill at this location. There's this older lady that's just plain rude and doesn't want to help anyone. I received notification on my phone at 9:30am this morning that an Amazon package I was expecting had been delivered to my PO Box at this store. I went into the store at 2:15pm today (almost 5 hours later) to pick up that package and was told that they hadn't sorted the incoming packages yet, and they were too busy to look for it - while I was the only customer in the store! HEY, UPS STORE! YOU CAN'T TELL PAYING CUSTOMERS THAT YOU'RE TOO BUSY TO LOOK FOR THEIR PACKAGES! (I attempted to close my PO Box there in the store over this incident to take my business elsewhere, but the PO Box is paid up through January 2023, and they don't refund for unused months.) read more

I've dropped off a few items here before since I trade & collect trading cards & they got rid of the USPS drop off across the block. No issue with dropping off directly in the USPS bag. My printer was broken so I decided to just have someone at the front desk create a new tracking # for me as I needed it to get to the recipient by a certain date. The girl at the front desk first told me that she would recommend me to put my item in a bigger package as they get lost more easily (which may be completely true, but i've sent & received hundreds of packages that have never been lost & even smaller.) I declined as the shipping items they have there are way overpriced. We go on with the transaction & I decide to go with the USPS rate which is $7 cheaper than UPS. She didn't ask if I wanted shipping protection, or how much the item inside was worth. As we said by she took the package towards the back which I thought was weird since it was USPS not UPS. Long story short it's been almost a month, no tracking updates have been issued & it hasn't even said USPS has even gotten the item. $85 I have to refund to a customer because of the neglect the worker shown. There's no way for me to get the cards back unless it's sitting somewhere in that building. read more

Didn't answer my question about tracking my envelope while she was punching things in on the computer and then hands me my receipt and I have to ask her again about tracking, she responded in a very annoyed voice "it's on there". Customers seem to be an inconvenience to the staff here... I bought a $10 shipping box (not knowing the exact size I needed) and the clerk told me I could try it to see if it would fit. It didn't. I tried to return it 15 minutes later and she said there were no refunds and she meant I could open it on the floor in the store to see if it would fit, not take it and try it. I didn't even have the item I wanted to ship with me! Not communicated very well. I will never return to this store and you shouldn't either. By the way, the WalMart a mile away had a box for $3.50 that worked great. There's a FedEx store inside that is super friendly. read more

There's a great reason why this location has few stars. Manager is awful as well as customer service. I come hobbling in with an injured knee (huge brace on it so obvious to anyone that can see) to send heavy items back to Amazon. The box I'm carrying rips while I was dragging it inside the store. They want to charge me money to tape the box. Are you kidding? Ok, they'll give me one strip of tape for free. I don't have my wallet, ask if they take Apple Pay - they don't so they would NOT ship my items back. As a business I understand measures need to be taken to stay profitable. But you'd think when an injured customer (who frequents often) comes in they could offer some help and a couple of strips of tape. Manager walks in, lady behind counter points at him and states this is my manager, and instead of engaging in the conversation he turns his back and walks away. *** If I have to go back into this location one more time in a hundred years, that would be too much.*** Staff and manager are rude and unhelpful. They refuse to troubleshoot anything if their systems aren't working right. They blame UPS (wait, aren't you UPS?), Amazon, and anywhere else they can for problems instead of addressing or troubleshooting. Apparently they just want the quick buck instead of taking some time to take good care of their customers. And while doing so, they aren't too shy to make a scene. So I called UPS corporate to report/discuss the outrageously rude behavior demonstrated today at this franchise location. They recommended I go to the store at 164th and Mill Plain citing that location has "far fewer complaints" and is "under different ownership." Yes, you read correctly - THAT'S WHAT CORPORATE UPS SAID. GO ELSEWHERE. It's clear this franchisee doesn't believe in or support UPS values. They should be ashamed of themselves. (And PS: They did offer one solution to our problem. Make two packages one by taping them together and CHARGING US FOR THE TAPE - just like another reviewer said happened to her. This place has helped me out on many occasions. They easily accept pre-paid packages without waiting in line (off to the right near the wall and counter once you walk in). They helped me with notary on some odd documents. They helped box up large items on a couple occasions for items I needed to ship (and the price was right). Each time I had experience with different attendants and they were all friendly and helpful. I'll definitely continue to come to this location. read more

No explanation, no apology, but they did promise to send out on the 27th, which they did. The sad thing about this UPS store is how miserable the young lady who works there is whenever we go in. Always grumpy; never overtly rude, but you can just feel the undercurrent of hostility. She normally doesn't offer to give you a receipt for the merchandise that you're shipping back. This is how this store has earned its two stars. Every customer shipping returns is legally entitled to a receipt. You should be offered a receipt. It is your right to decline the receipt, although I would recommend you accept the receipt and keep it in a safe place until your return is properly processed. If you request a receipt then be prepared to step back and watch the vein in her neck pop and her normally frozen expression will thaw just long enough to flash you a look of distain. Poor thing is very unhappy. Perhaps she hates her job. We've been in this UPS when there was another young lady and a young man working together and they were happy. So is it the job? Or the person?This poor grumpy thing seems to always be alone. Are they short staffed? Does no one want to work with her? When you go into this UPS be thankful if you have the happy young man and sweet young lady, BUT expect minimal service from grumpy girl. Bring some extra compassion because no matter how bad your life is, I am certain that this young lady thinks her life sucks. Be Kind. Maybe you can bring a little sunshine to her day. read more

I have been going to this ups store for 4 years. I have had wonderful service with the exception of the last two visits. The prices and service are not acceptable. I had to print over 100 color copies which is already expensive project. It took me 35 minutes to print them and they charged me 45 cents a minute to use the computer to order these copies. When I started the project I thought it was a one use fee of 45 cents. When I confirmed that price with the worker she said yes. When I complained about it Cheryl was not kind and told me too bad. Basically don't order large quantities from this place as they not only want to make a steep profit on color, but additional to just order them. I'm paying more for self serve when you can go to a fed ex or Office Depot, they will do it for you and they charge less!! My second visit was just as bad, but this time with lamination. I should have known better. Cheryl was there and just as rude and unhelpful. Don't support this business or if you have a bad experience share it. The owner needs to know. read more

I've gone to this UPS store, 6-8 times over the last 2 years. It has been a customer service nightmare each and every time. This time, I needed to have something notarized. Based on my last experience, I called in advance to ensure there was someone onsite that could notarize. I called 4 different times, and each time I called, the person that answered the phone could not tell me if someone would be available when I got there, to notarize. The last time I called, when he could not confirm when a notary would be working, I asked to talk to the manager. He handed the phone to another guy, and I could hear him say "I dont know, some angry guy..." (I had not been angry, not raised my voice, had not been rude). I was just dissatisfied with this same guy not being able to answer a simple question. The person he handed the phone to was supposedly the manager and said he would be there till 5 to notarize. When I asked him about other days this week, he said he'll be there each day till 5. Not sure why it was so difficult to get an answer before, but I've come to expect this kind of frustration, and I dread going there every time. read more
