BEWARE!! I'll start this review by acknowledging that I knew it would cost a bit more for the convenience but I had no idea how ridiculous it would be. I brought my 3.5 lb box in on Friday and asked to get it to its destination within 6 days. Guy behind the counter said the only way he could get it there in time was UPS 3-day Select (seemed odd with 6 days to go) but he said it was going to be over $200. I was shook....for a 3.5lb box?! So I asked about USPS, he said the best he could do was 7-9 days and it would be $90. I grabbed my box and walked out. Went home and logged on to USPS from home. Priority mail was $23 and the package will arrive on Tuesday. Lesson learned!!! read more

Went to send some documents via DHL to Panama. After entering the info into his computer, the price he quoted was $148.89. I was startled by the high price and asked him if there was a way to ship at a lower price. His response was a definite no, and that DHL was the cheapest and best. I took his recommendation thinking he knew best and shipped via DHL. WRONG! Later I checked with FedEx and the price was $56. Postal Annex cost me $93 more than I needed to pay. Untrustworthy and will never use Postal Annex again. read more

Was with Postal Annex acting as an agent for IPostal1 for a little over a year. At the beginning, service was great and customer service was very good. The past 3 months have been barely acceptable to unacceptable service and in fact has lost my mail which was very important and needed forwarded to me. I do not recommend this place of business and especially not using them for an IPostal1 agent. You to could end up with missing mail. read more

I will never use PostalAnnex again! I had absolutely no idea I was being so overcharged for their services. I was just charged $1 for standard 69 cent stamp! I ordered a book of stamps and they charged me $20. I asked is this what stamps are today and the woman answered yes! they are a dollar each. I told her I had no idea. I knew they had been a postal increase but I just didn't realize it was that much. She said yes it's a dollar each. When I got out to my car I looked at the stamps. They are $.69 each! I then looked it up online. I was charged a 46% increase! When my husband went in to question them and complain they said oh yeah we have a service fees! I was dumbfounded I understand you need to make some money, but you do that with the packaging and all of the accessories you sell around the government issued stamps! Or at least you let people know. You don't print out stamps overcharge somebody, and then refuse to give them a refund when they're surprised by the unexpected up charge! When I asked her is this what I would have to pay at the post office for a book of stamps? she said, yeah I think so..... well I don't know this is how we sell them. what a con! This is one of my favorite business in Vancouver. When I need to mail something, I leave it on the counter with a label, and they take care of it (including taping the box if necessary). When I need to print something, I email it to them and it's ready by the time I get there. One time I asked them to print and mail things to 29 different places (including to Canada) and they just handled it for a surprisingly low fee. Showed up at opening time as listed on their business hours both on the website and their door, waited for over 15 minutes for the business to open before ultimately leaving and deciding to take my business elsewhere. I find it extremely unprofessional for a business to be opening its doors late and making customers wait. This is also not the first time this has occurred. NOT TRUSTWORTHY with your packages, I was excited about using them as I've used other Postal annex stores. This one under new ownership, and it shows. I dropped off my packages, was assured that they would still go out that day and it was a couple hours before their listed pick up time on the website. So I should've been safe. Mind you I was assured. They did not go out And when I called the next day asking about when they went out I was giving multiple non-answers that were immediately defensive as to why they didn't go out. saying things like "maybe the carrier missed them" or "shift change". all the packages go in a bin. And then the employees hand the bins to the carrier....so it felt so obvious the manager had no intention of managing the situation. while I was in there, I also noticed one other small business owner dropping off multiple packages from her business, and she also wanted to be assured that they would go out. It is literally the point of your entire business. It's the only thing you have to do right. The the lack of communication skills by management to convey proper information or take accountability was laughable and ultimately still didn't provide me with an answer as to why the packages were not either picked up by USPS or dropped off to them. I am a small business owner and need to be able to trust other businesses I work with, especially when it comes to some thing as important as shipping. Would not recommend. all other PostalAnnex locations have been amazing and I've never had to deal with such amateur business practices. Worst customer service ever from THE OWNER!!!! They mark up their postal stamps..don't tell you there is a mark up and when questioned if stamps are now over $.80 each they reply "yes". Flat out lied. Tried to return when realized the huge markup and they REFUSED saying "stamp sales are final". We ship THOUSANDS of dollars a month and they just lost our business read more

There is a younger lady that works in here that has always been super helpful. I have enjoyed dealing with her in the past because she made sure that I was getting the right shipping option for the best price and she always had an answer for every question. The last time I came in here, I encountered an older lady, and it ended up costing me $18 to ship one small box (smaller than a shoebox). She was unable to explain why this was so and only advised me that "$18 parcel post is the cheapest way it could possibly go". Since I was in a rush, I didn't dispute it but the next time I needed to mail something, I went straight to the post office and that time mailed a larger box for $11, priority! So I got insurance and a tracking number AND it got there in 2 days (the package mailed at Postal Annex took 2 weeks). FYI, you can also have USPS deliver flat-rate boxes to you for free, pay for and print shipping labels at home, and even schedule a pick-up (also for free). To be fair, Postal Annex's website (which I read after) advises that smaller packages do ship cheaper through USPS. My frustration lies more within the fact that when I asked, the lady basically just shrugged and had no real answer other than that's just the way it is. They may be reasonable for other things but if you're mailing a package, I say go anywhere but here. read more

I've been going to this Postal annex for a few years! Recently the Customer Service is awful, for the love of Pete don't return an amazon package here! I went in after the new year and I had my packages ripped out of my hands, one item never made it back to amazon, I even explained I wanted I would pay for the shipping. Stupid me I went in again to mail something and drop an amazon return off and once again it hasn't been received! I also asked about some other services and they acted out off! I really try and help the smaller Mom and Pop stores but I'm done dealing with this location!!! read more

This review is for their notary services. Arrived around 5pm after work needing to get a notarized document so I could get a certified birth certificate copy... That process alone is quite fun, but the notary working was quick and got me in and out without any fuss. $10 for the notary and I was on my way. Was happy to receive my birth certificate in the mail a week or so later. I would happily come back for any future notary needs. read more

I've been paying for my mailbox for over 5 years . I went to Pick up my mail today and had a package to pick up as well. The person working there today was Sarah. She was so rude to me gave me my package Rudely and just stared at me. Didn't even smile or say hi. I've never met her before . I asked her if I did something wrong and she was just so rude the way she treated me . She was very cold . Then tried to switch her attitude to me and asked why I was stand offish. I have been going here for years for package exporting and what I have been dealing with has been taking waaay to long.. March 5th I sent out a very rare Nissan skyline stereo through Haley the worker at postal annex.. soon after the customer gets the package I get a huge post on Facebook of him trying to roast me in the skyline group chats for how horribly I packaged the product.. first off there was one piece of bubble wrap layed on top of the stereo... I go in countless times asking for a refund and i was told it can take 3 months to get my money back?! 3 months!? So here we are. About 3 months from the day I sent it out and I call and HALEY the total b**ch she is saying she's tried countless times to call and email me.. buuuulllsh*t no calls no voicemails no emails. I find myself coming in only to drop off packages anymore...The main reason is obviously things cost more here than at the Post Office but the other reason is one of the employees. I've seen a nice elderly man working once, who I believe to have been the owner, and the only other employees there are two women. One of the women's name is Hailey and has always been extremely nice and helpful to me every time I have gone in but the other older woman can be very rude. I've witnessed her be very short and curt to several people and she's been rude to me in the past as well.
