I received a package that had my address, but the wrong name. There is a common scam where someone…read moreuses your address, you give them the package because neighbors help neighbors, and you receive a bill later (if this happens to you please keep close watch over your banking accounts). The package says it's from Fedex, but there's some UPS info as well and the format doesn't really match either based on my experience in shipping. I plugged in all the tracking numbers with both logistics companies and they stated it wasn't theirs. Knowing that I reached out to the number for the shipper, Postal Connections, and spoke with Sherry. She asked for my name and number so she could research and get back to me - totally valid! A little while later I received a phone call from the intended recipient asking if she could pick it up. Which is a hard no, I want this tracked and I'm happy to do a RTS. So, Sherry shared my personal information with a random person that may or may not be a scammer. This person cleary has my phone number now, may or may not have my address, and I'm going to have to take extra time out of my day to figure out how to get this package RTS ASAP. To say that I'm displeased would be a serious understatement.

For decades I'd been looking for a shredding service where I could witness the shredding process…read more I'm uncomfortable with handling over documents not knowing who will see and process them. Finally I found Steve! I brought my 120 pounds of tax returns and business files to Steve's Shredding. Steve helped me bring them in from my car. I watched and chatted with Steve as he shredded them. In about 20 minutes it was all done, his price was very reasonable, and I wished I had more to shred so I could talk with him longer. I live an hour drive from Steve's place, so I scheduled another appointment in Portland the same day to make the trip worth it. No need for that, Steve is worth a special trip any time. Surprise Bonus: There's a dog training and boarding company in the same building. I got to meet that business owner and pet a couple of doggies. What a great day!
