After a long hiatus I returned to this location, which I might add is under new and awesome management. At this particular visit I came to ship an Amazon return (selecting this point of return in the Amazon app). Upon arrival the parking area was clean and all the spots were open (my lucky day, yeah!). The lady at the counter was quick to greet me and ask how she could help. With the prompt scan of my return QR code my return was checked in and I was provided with the tracking/receipt. I will definitely be back to this location for more shipping and return needs. If you haven't been back in awhile I highly encourage you to give them another chance. read more

I do not recommend this ups kittredge location, due to their bad customer service. But also recently my son spent $800 shipping boxes from this store, when Boxes arrived, one was damaged, tv boxed which was wrapped extremely well, in a tv box, was cracked. When I've tried to call the store many times, leaving msgs, sending emails, trying to make claim online, with no reply. Then manager Lauren, finally email me saying the period time to claim was over. Seriously. When I did it within the deadline. She's not taking the reSponsabilty. Unacceptable. Not even an apology just straight writing to taking the responsibility. I still use this store mostly for prepaid returns where the label has been supplied by the recipient but occasionally need to ship to a recipient that requires UPS. The staff is nice, there is rarely a line at all. They will give you a receipt to prove you did ship the return which is nice. I still prefer other shippers but at least it's better than the USPost office. And the regular delivery route driver for my neighborhood is really nice and considerate of package delivery. read more

This place is unbelievably awful. I actually video taped my interaction with the young Asian man at the counter. It's not my first time in this UPS and not the first time this guy has been oddly, pointedly, condescendingly rude, so as he started ramping up, I pulled out my phone camera. This looks like it might be a (very unhappy) family run operation. Older Asian man (father?) and younger Asian man have worked there each time I went. Both are immensely rude. They seem to be intensely irritated about Amazon drop-offs, and apparently believe there are some set in stone rules about how one should drop them off that if you don't follow exactly (ala Soup Nazi in Seinfeld - I'm not kidding), they kick you out of the store. I came in with my box from Zappos. The box wasn't taped, but it was ready to go otherwise. I apparently angered them with this unspeakably unreasonable action, because they literally would not speak to me to explain to me why they wouldn't take my package. He literally ignores my questions in the video. When I ask if it's the fact that the box isn't taped, he finally says "yes." I ask him if there's something we could do about this? Like could we tape it here? He again completely ignores me. They he throws my label away and tells me to take my business elsewhere. It was soo bizarre. They must be such unhappy people! There were at least 3 other customers in there at the time, one of which also had an open box, and they all looked confused by this very aggressive interaction on the part of the UPS employee. I finally just told him I would gladly take my business elsewhere, and FYI I recorded the interaction. He snidely told me that they had video tape too (pointing to the camera mounted on the ceiling) and guess who they were going to believe. ? So strange! We have video of the same thing then! You being rude. How does that help you? It was like bizarro world in there. Young Asian man was seriously looking at me as if I were idiotically rude for having not taped my package, as he emanated self-righteousness. As I walked out, I heard him say to my back "if you don't like the policy then take it up with Amazon!" To which, I turned around and called out from the door, "It's not the policy I have a problem with, it's your attitude!" And left. Yes. That's what it came to. Seriously don't go here. I've never had a bad experience at UPS before this store, and I've lived all over the country. I'm going to send the video to UPS corporate that oversees the franchises. Employee had a completely DGAF attitude, the worst I've encountered in over my year of living in the state of Colorado. I came in saying I have a return for Amazon and explained I'm new to this process and asked for clarification about how it works. I explained that I had a large table with multiple pieces and heavy, and that it would include multiple trips for me to carry them in from my car into the store. I asked for confirmation, showing my return email instructions, asking if this could be returned and how for how much. I'm pretty busy and wanted to rely that the employee could give me accurate information pertaining to his job. Well, I lugged the pieces in and he told me it would be $50 to ship back to amazon. Not worth it for the price I paid for this desk. I knew it would be work and he should have not had a DGAF attitude but he did the whole time. Zero stars! Horrible customer service! It takes a special kind of commitment to bad service to screw up an Amazon drop off. I had 2 returns and one QR code and one to print the bar code UPS label. The QR code scanned and no problem. The extremely rude Asian kid said that he couldn't scan the bar code and I had to print it for $2.33. How is it that a UPS Store can't scan a UPS label barcode? I said fine and printed it. I was retuning boots already in a box and he said I needed to buy a box for it. I told him to forget the whole thing, but I was still charged for the print out, even though he didn't tell me about the box requirement until after. There is no way this was the first Amazon return like this and it was for sure a planned bait and switch. Before I left, I asked for my printout back because I had a box at home but he tore it up. I use UPS Stores all the time all over the country and have had a mailbox at one for 8 years. What another reviewer said about the complete DGAF attitude was 100% accurate. Just reported this location for fraudulent charges to my cc. Tried to resolve the issue with this locations manager, who did nothing. No one in UPS corporate could help, and the independent location itself didn't help. Stole $20 to print a shipping label, stating the difference would be deposited back within 3 days, which never happened. Has happened to me on more than one occasion. Important to note that most people that leave reviews here have been personally wronged and/or mistreated (or had a positive experience) at a place of business. This review is something that did not happen to me personally, but instead something I witnessed personally from start to finish as I stood as a bystander in line. Nothing is taken out of context. I am a repeat paying customer of this location. I am in my 40's, a professional, a former small business owner, and someone who has worked with the public in commerce and in communications my entire life. I find my tolerance for rudeness greatly diminished in these times of national struggle...so here we go. Scene: Afternoon. A half dozen people in store, nothing crazy, and everyone calm and following posted guidelines. Middle aged female customer enters with mask, and a prepaid outgoing package. Young White Kid working counter--whom I've witnessed berate people in the past, but chalked it up to a bad day (not an excuse). Middle Aged Woman calmly approaches front (not cutting anyone off) and motions to drop package in the area where USPS, and other UPS facilities normally collect prepaid drop-offs. Young White Kid looks at her rudely when she asks politely if she can drop-off. (Editor's note: this would actually save time and be of much greater efficiency in keeping lines inside the store to a minimum, rather than have people line-up for the mere act of handing off a package/facilitating greater and unnecessary personal contact...so don't play the "this is bc of COVID" card.) "No!" is Young White Kid's aggressive tone of response that would be completely out of line toward any customer, in any instance, much less this one. The Middle Aged Woman, noticeably taken aback, laughs uncomfortably, which further provokes the YWK. "If you're going to laugh, you can leave, right now." What follows is an exchange of the YWK trying to bait the lady into a verbal altercation. At no point is she rude, nor does she raise her voice. She remains calm, but obviously feels like she's in the Twilight Zone. Finally she asks his name. He refuses/ignores her and instead asks if she wants to talk to a manager. She responds: "I'm not trying to fight you young man, I'm just trying to mail a package." This entire time he is ignoring the customer at his station. She asks his name again (they wear name tags, but she is at back of line at this point), and he spins to the back to call a "Manager" while making the point to anyone listening "looks like we got a Karen here boys." If there is a hell filled with REAL "Karen's" (people who make unnecessary scenes) then I hope this kid is headed there. He unprofessionally asks someone in the back to come out and says "a customer is being rude" as a matter of explanation. Enter Young Asian Kid, who immediately storms out from the back office, and not once asks the lady what the situation is. Instead, brandishing his phone camera and yelling at her to "Get Out!" "I've taken your picture and I'm calling the cops if you don't leave." Yes, if you're still paying attention, this is all fairly unreal! But it happened. The lady retreats out of the store, at which point the Older Asian Man appears and shakes his head, not knowing anything of the situation, and obviously lost as to what has transpired in the last 2 minutes. Young Asian Kid, and YWK, go back to doing whatever they are doing. YAK tells YWK that he has called the cops, so "nobody should be any more trouble." Me: 2nd in line...feeling extreme guilt for not interjecting--not that it would have helped--or at least whipped out my own phone to record. It all happened so fast. You know, the whole "that escalated quickly" meme in a nutshell. Other customers in store look uncomfortable and very much thinking "WTF". I really wish the lady would have stayed, but I hope she reads this, and at very least combs through the rest of these reviews and forwards them to the Boulder BBB. As to the villains mentioned...those kids (young adults in their 20s would be too gracious) are the worst possible representations of a public-facing business (or any other business.) It falls upon adults to set an example. OAM apparently not an example. It's fine to take your job seriously. In these times, it must be stressful to wear a mask all day and be paid an hourly wage, but it's the job you've chosen, and are fortunate to have. Man up. COVID is no excuse, having a bad day is no excuse. Treat people with common decency or find a different career where you can scowl at inanimate objects all day. Perhaps a warehouse of boxes--although I would still feel sorry for the boxes--and inevitably a co-worker would likely "accidentally" run you over with a forklift. "Whoops, damn shame." P.S. seems like there are enough people on here with similar reviews that when things get back to normal there should be a community event of catharsis to celebrate. read more

Will rip you off by rounding up on package size regardless of dimensions. UPS states to round to the nearest inch, not round up no matter what. Employee kicked me out when confronted on the overcharge. Avoid at all costs. Staples is across the street and will not over charge. Staples is the exact same price, and offers 30% off coupon. Tried dropping off something and they make you wait in line even if your just dropping off. During covid times they should be more efficient and just have a drop off spot. 10+ people in line behind me and only one of the two employees is working. The only person who was working is making everyone who just needs to drop an item off wait in line. That alone is increasing the spread of covid. read more

I've been to a bunch of UPS Store locations and always had a fine experience. This one was so terrible. The employee who 'helped' us (name tag: Nickolas) was extremely rude. He was snide with two customers in line before us. He insisted I use a more expensive envelope than what I had selected, took my item from me and sealed the envelope, then quoted a price. It was twice what similar shipping has cost at other locations, so I declined to ship the item. Then - despite him having taken the envelope and sealed it - he insisted I pay for the envelope too. I tried to refuse, but he insisted and then, because I was frustrated, helaughed at me as I paid. Avoid this store like the plague! read more

My only experience with this store is dropping off a pre-packaged, prepaid return about a year ago. I used the original box, which was previously shipped via UPS direct from a manufacturer. All previous markings and stickers were removed or covered, and I was the only customer in the store. It still took some convincing to get the older Asian gentleman to accept the package. He kept saying it wasn't done right, I kept asking why. He would mutter something, and I had to ask for him to repeat himself because I couldn't hear what he said. It took over 10 minutes for him to finally accept the shipment and give me a receipt. He was clearly a very unhappy person and seemed to derive some sick sense of satisfaction from giving me a hard time. The location at Baseline and Foothills is not great at customer service (maybe 2.5 stars), but at least they are able to perform a simple task like accepting a return package in less than a minute. Between the two locations, I will never ship UPS unless absolutely necessary. The USPS package kiosk provides more effective and friendly customer service than these clowns. read more

I have been going to this location for years, to drop off pre-paid labeled packages and also to ship items. Today I walked in with a stack of pre-paid packages, and as there was a long line, I approached the front of the line to ask politely if I could drop off the packages as I always have in the past. The man behind the counter yelled at me to get in line and to stay 6 feet away (I was a good 10-12 feet from the counter and from anyone else in line) and that if "you people don't practice social distancing I will report you all". When I got to the front, I suggested that he didn't need to yell at customers, that their policies have changed and that I didn't know, and he started to rant at me again about how it was people like me that are causing problems with the pandemic. Honestly, it would be much more efficient and safe if they still had a drop zone, having more people stand in line is not good for anyone. I see here that there are multiple other reviews of similar rude behavior. I don't experience this anywhere else in Boulder, and I am a polite, generous, supportive patron of many local businesses. How is UPS allowing these people to operate under their name? The Manager called the police on me after I said one of his staff members had been rude to me. They wouldn't give my mail back, or let me pay for it to be shipped when I tried to leave. I was held hostage while an older asian man who works there just kept repeating "you! no more talking!" making the ssh symbol with his finger on his lips, as I begged them to give me back my packages if they weren't going to mail them. All 3 of them were shouting at me and I was very intimidated. They finally gave me back my mail - one package was a huge TV, in my rush to try and get it out the store I cut my arm and sprained my wrist while they just watched as I struggled.
