The manager was disrespectful and attempted to charge me extra for a box and label for an Amazon return, even though the return was already prepaid. She did not scan the item or check the system before making this claim. BIG PACKAGE   Amazon returns are generally hassle-free at this printing/shipping center on Boughton.   Bolingbrook's UPS Store sits at the end of a strip mall anchored by Kohl's, next to a small beauty supply store and nondescript furniture outlet.  I find myself checking in here once every few months for a package dropoff and most of the time, I'm in and out of here in 2 minutes max.  I've contemplated leaving my car's engine running if no one else is around, it's that speedy.   Last visit, I had to wait for WAY longer than usual, and for something so simple -- a QR code scan takes all of ten seconds -- it was pretty frustrating.  The person working at that time should've asked who had quick drop-offs and prioritized us, instead of handling the complicated requests one at a time and making the line of 5-6 people stand around (it was a solid 15 minutes of twiddling our thumbs).   * TL;DR *   And the award for the least-exciting review of 2022 goes to....The UPS Store. At least gas stations have snacks; alas there's nothing edible here. I can assure you my next Yelp entry will be written with a much more adventuresome spirit (did someone say kayak??) read more

In the past when I've stopped at a UPS Store the experience lets say, has been less than stellar. Well today, Just a few moments ago this store changed things & turned it all around. I had a return going back to Amazon and here is where I stopped. The woman at the counter wad amazing. Enthusiastic & very warm & outgoing. Great personality. Today Oct 10, 2019 I didn't get her name but she was fantastic. She was terrific and made it so quick easy and simple to do my return. Big things up for this fantastic employee or manager. Not sure. I needed programs printed for a wedding. I lacked knowledge of paper types and the silly format I bought from Etsy. These ladies went above and beyond helping, giving advice and then printing quickly. Everything is perfect. All UPS stores are not equal. Perhaps the person who gave the bad review was waiting behind me (haha). This is my new favorite store. read more

I trust the UPS brand but my experience at Store #6435 today. The people behind the counter are simply not pleasant. I walked to return an Amazon package. First, I stood at the counter almost 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledge me, though I know they could see me. When the young man finally walked up to the counter there was no hello, smilen or apology for the long wait in an empty store. Once at tge counter he just looked at me. Finally, I said, "Hello, I'm here to return this amazon package." Looking at the item, which measured about 7x6 inches, his only words were "You gone a box." Puzzled, I said, we'll do you sell them? He pointed over to the area behind me that had envelopes. I grabbed one and paid extra for it. He handed me a receipt and said nothing else to me. I left feeling like an unappreciated customer dreading the next time I ever have to come back to this store. read more

I had a homemade greeting card I saved on my USB drive that needed to be printed. Mikayla and Caitlyn (sp) were in the store together on the weekend. Mikayla listened to my request and printed out what I needed in record time, working hard to make sure I was completely satisfied with the result. I later decided I needed to make a change to the card and returned on Monday. Caitlyn was in the store, but she remembered me and phoned Mikayla immediately to help me, even though she had to phone her at home. She did not want me to leave the store without my card exactly the way I needed it. She worked hard even though she had several other customers coming in and out with packages (this was a busy federal holiday). I just want to emphasize that these two young women took the time to listen to me and make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, even though I was not shipping something expensive or otherwise making a huge sale for the day. In the past couple of months, I have been in and out of many UPS stores in the area asking for similar requests and going away feeling unheard and unsatisfied because other stores did not take the time to listen to what I wanted. Mikayla and Caitlyn are excellent employees and I hope that the next time I need something they will be there to assist me. Thank you, ladies! I went here today to ship 3 packages of just Christmas gifts and kids clothes. I was "helped" by a worker called Kalysha. She was arrogant and rude and was grabbing things out of my hand left and right. I was charged about an extra five dollars just because I didn't select the optional package insurance?.. This was not right whatsoever and she did not want to tell me why and what that five dollars was for. I did not agree to pay at first, but then i had to pay because it's Christmas gift. Right AFTER I had paid, she rips off the shipping label of my package and says that I can go to post office and ship them for cheaper... I explain to her that I paid and then shes like "Oh" and then sticks it back on... Are you serious?? That package was shipped and for my next one I just had a baby winter jacket that didnt even weigh a pound. This was supposed to be shipped international to Europe and she said that it was $200 for a jacket that doesnt even weigh a pound, while a 2 pound item would be shipped for $103 (Yes i checked the rates.) This is outrageous and not only was this lady a horrible person, she didnt even seem to care for her job. Ive been a customer for years and i will never be coming back here again. read more

I checked on ups web page and package was $15.42. Went to ups store and they said close to $22.00. I asked if there was an additional charge. Girl said no. Went to Westmont hub and it was $15.42. The girl at the ups desk said that the ups storre has its own rates. So the girl lied to me. No wonder these stores are empty. Sorry they bought into a losing franchise. But ddont steal over $6 from a working man who had his own box and label. Zero stars. read more

Updated 12/9/19. Hadn't gone back to this location in a year but didn't feel like driving to my usual store. The surly clerk was not there. Instead the clerk tonight was fast and friendly. No stupid questions or demands to open boxes. Won't use this location again after the service I got today. Place was empty when I walked in and it took a while for an employee to come up front. I wonder if I woke her from a nap because she was rude from the first moment. No hello or how can I help, just "put it on the scale". I told her the first package was a prepaid return and that seemed to tick her off more for some reason. She wanted me to open the package and show her what was in it, something that I've never had to do anywhere. read more

They have good supplies but they are very very slow. I appreciate all attention given to customers but usual chit chatting for long when other customers are waiting is wrong. There are no chairs so you have to stand all the time waiting. read more

What a ripoff...charged over 8 dollars for a package I routinely mail. Price should be 1.40 from the Bolingbrook post office or 3 dollars from a mail store less than 1/4 mile away....owner gave change out of his own pocket and not the register! When confrounted he made no effort to make good. Stay away! read more
