I would give 0 stars if I could. So incredibly rude it's disgusting. If i wasn't in a rush to ship packages i would have listened to the reviews on Yelp saying to avoid at all costs. The Indian guy working is so stupid it would be funny if It wasn't so frustrating. He adds 1-2 inches to every side of the package to make the price increase. Quoted a price $25 higher than UPS itself. Screams at customers, very short temper, disgusting person overall. Has no clue about customer service and is probably the sole reason this location has very poor reviews. Also - in order to tape your package closed you have to buy the tape yourself, never heard of that one before. Had a bad experience in the store but came back because i needed something printed. I went in to print something that i had ordered the night before. Came in was told the printer was broken. Okay that's fine, I asked for a refund and the guy rolled his eyes and said "want it in black adn white?" I ordered for fed ex purely for the color i said no he said to and said to "do refund online". I said that wasn't an option and He said Ok i'll call someone. I got ignored for 20 minutes in the store. Even after I could hear he got off the phone. He was annoyed the whole time. He then comes out and says no luck. Meaning I was supposed to just not get the $14 I had spent on nothing. A new worker comes to me outside while i'm eating 40 mins later (he was on break) and goes" We found your receipt if you go now you can get a refund. We would've called but didn't want to bother you." I head there and the indian guy goes no we don't where did that stupid guy put it. Proceeds to hand me the change in cash. If i wasn't eating where the worker had went on break I would've never gotten my money back. Don't waste your time here. There is 0 true customer service. Absolutely the most RUDE, unfriendly front desk person/manager I have ever encountered at a UPS store location! This store deserves ZERO stars if this is who they choose to have in charge! Tall guy, in his late 20's, with a slight, closely shaved light brown beard, this guy has ZERO customer service skills not to mention, never smiled once or gave a friendly welcome, he just looked annoyed the whole time I was in the store! I was trying to get a label printed out for an Amazon return, had an issue with 1 of 3 labels (for 3 large carpets) I asked about their internet, he told me there was no access for customers and told me to step outside, completely unhelpful. Once I had the 3rd label sent to me from Amazon, I came back in. He never tried to help lift the very heavy carpet for me, and acted like I had put him out somehow because I was taking up their time with the label issue! I was so upset with his poor attitude, I told him he could try to be friendlier to his customers, and he actually told me "you're not doing me any favors, its a return, were helping you!" Unbelievable! There are THREE UPS stores in this area, this will be the last time I bring my business to the Boca UPS Store in the Mission Bay Plaza! read more

I swear this place is a complete scam. I do not trust these guys that run this store. $480 for a small PO BOX that includes packages received (they added a separate fee for incoming packages btw) and then- if you want to be notified by text when a package arrives, it's an extra $5/month? I received all of this for less than $200 in California. Why the separate fees for everything? They are also not apologetic at all- they were rude- laughed and said this is how it is. I added that I would call corporate to make sure this is accurate, and he brushed me off saying they have nothing to do with corporate- calling won't get me anything. I love Florida, but this isn't the first time I feel like I've been ripped off. I wish people could be trustworthy and feel like I'm being taken care of as a customer. I went to ship an item, approximately 20lbs, they wanted $330.00 to send it. It was so unbelievable that I had to laugh. The customer service guys went as far to tell me that it's a large box and we have to pay for the unused space. So UPS now charges for air in your box if you weren't aware. Go to the post office, at least they still ship by weight. read more

I used this service back in December for an overnight letter. Horrendous. My letter came back a day later than it was suppose to. I had to go to the ups office to pick up after being told it was there. They said they attempted to deliver letter but the address was submitted wrong and no attempt at a phone call from no one!!! I went back to speak to owner about a refund. He submitted it. Never heard back after a month. Went back again. He stated it takes time. He submitted again. Absolutely the worse UPS store I've been to. A guy working there was on person call yelling at his mother. Unprofessional. Yet, he didn't wear a mask and another employee there. I didn't have a box and he wanted to charge $9. A joke. You can walk into moving company place or Any store and buy it cheaper. No thanks. Luckily I found a box in my car. To take it he charged $1 and he didn't even tape it in front of me. That doesn't gain any trust in first time visitors. I was in rush and still paid $1. I let them repack a set of china that I was sending up north and they did a super job - not one piece chipped or broke! AVOID this horrible store. The owners seem to purposely turn customers away and perpetuate racism and hostility. We brought 2 lamps to ship, and we already spent $25 on a box from this place. We packed ourselves and Phil's wife said she would not ship it without her repacking it, and then charged an extra $100 for nothing. No explanation or justification. We moved many times in our lives and know how to pack fragile items. We came to the store with the items already packed in the box that we purchased from them in the first place. Upon arrival, lamps were broken and unusable. When we went to speak to the store, they called us liars, used phrases like "you people" and then said that they never packed it for us. Blatant disrespect. The charges totaled over $200 and when we questioned them, they denied ever doing packing or requesting the packing. In all my years of moving and shipping, I've never encountered such disgusting conduct. We opened an investigation with UPS corporate. I will avoid Future UPS stores if this is how they conduct business. Thank you USPS and FeDEx for welcoming us. read more

Very disappointed in this store. The girl that helped me told me my package would take 7 days to arrive at its destination. A couple of days later I went to track the package on-line and it read that the arrival date was 20 days! When I called the Mission Bay UPS store all I got was an answering machine to leave a message and an associate would return my call. Well, it's been almost 2 weeks now and NO associate has returned my call. Not a good way to get customer recommendations!!! Never will I use UPS again. Phil, the owner of the UPS (store #0488 at Mission Bay Plaza) in Boca Raton, Florida is a liar & con-artist who only cares about his store's ratings & taking customer's money. 7/16/15 I shipped a large box by UPS from Florida to Arizona. I bought extra insurance on the package and asked several questions regarding the shipping process to make sure my package arrived safely. Phil, the store owner, helped me bring in the box from my car and provided extra tape on the box and wrote "Fragile". Accepting the package he told me "everything was good" so I left feeling secure I had Phil's word. 7/23/15 I received a notice that my package was damaged and they discarded some of the merchandise. I immediately ran over to the UPS store and Liana from the store called UPS. She told me I will be receiving the insurance plus the delivery fee. 7/27/15 I went back to the store. They said my claim was denied because I packed the merchandise myself and I did not pack it right. Despite initially being told "everything was good" & being confirmed to get a full refund by UPS they went back on their word. I said to Phil "Your store accepted the package and said it was fine". He told me UPS is not responsible for how they treat the package during delivery. When I asked him for proof & pictures that it was not packed right he said there were none. After leaving UPS being scammed I sent a certified letter to the CEO of UPS, David Abney, only to never receive a response. I left several messages to the head office. No response. I put in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. UPS did not respond back to them right away and they had to send out the complaint again. They finally responded that I needed to go back to the store (#0488) and work it out with them. The owner, Phil, said he will not help me because "It will downgrade his store and his ratings will go down with UPS". I was blown away at what he just said. An individual like this cannot be trusted and the company is just as guilty. They will accept your merchandise, your money, provide empty promises, and tell you exactly what you want to hear. Once anything in transit goes wrong though they will immediately point the blame to you and claim no responsibility. They offer you no proof or apology how/why your package was destroyed and even have the nerve to take your extra insurance knowing they will not reimburse you when something goes wrong. It is very clear that UPS does not care about their customers or reputation. What is more amazing is how they get away with it. read more
