My car is in the shop and I gave two urgent overnight documents to print out and mail. I paid $18.50 plus tax to a Lyft driver to take me to this UPS location. When I walked in, one person was being helped before me. When it was my turn, I explained my needs, and she gave me the email to which to send my 2-page letter and 5 iphone photos (to be printed on plain paper). While I was doing so, a line of 4-5 customers formed. As I stood there waiting for service, she helped one customer after the next. When a kind gentleman asked if I was waiting, I replied "Yes." She seemingly reluctantly came to me, and when I said I had completed the emails, she refused to print them for me. She gave a nonsense excuse after she said she could accomplish my task only a few minutes before. Now I have to pay another nearly $20 to go to the BETTER UPS Store on 36th Street. Not only are they kind and actually perform the service you go to them to do, the offer both UPS and USPS shipping/mailing options. Never again will I go to the UPS store on a Meridian!!! I had a mailbox with this UPS store (#2472) for many years (until Nov 21). The original owner retired and sold a year or two ago and since then the customer service AND service in general has gone downhill (lost, misplaced, missing packages etc). My prescription was mailed in error to this address and was delivered Jan 3rd. I spoke to them on Jan 3rd about forwarding it to my current address. I was asked to email with details and did so. I have never heard back and am unable to reach them by phone. Now am without my prescription and they are unreachable. I would NOT recommend this particular UPS store to anyone!! read more

Person helping people was not wearing a mask and made the people in front of me buy tape for their Amazon return. I've taken stuff here in the past and they always taped my boxes. Now they aren't and charging people for tape. I'm more shocked with the no mask person working. It's really getting old with people thinking the rules don't apply to them. Was offered to ship to that address via Newegg.com as free shipping. Upon arrival I was told by the cashier that it will be a $5 holding fee. What!? This is a UPS store! I've never been charged by this store or any others in my entire life for having a package shipped to them. I wanted that fee waved as I was not informed by anyone I would be charged for my item pickup. Once the manager arrive, he was extremely rude to me, stating that they have been a third party franchise since April and are not a free business. I said I wouldn't have selected their address knowing I would be charged for this. I laid down the $5 and said if you take this, you lost my business. He took it and said I'm fine with that. I said I know, you are a third party franchise that doesn't give a Sh** about your customers. He said "that is correct". I'm never going through them again! They have lost my business and !HEY UPS! Strip your name from their door before you do too! On an additional note: I contacted Newegg.com and they refunded the $5 fee to my card without any issues. I don't mail things often, so I'm not an expert... I pay an expert to assist me. Unfortunately, the last two items I shipped from this store were lost. I specifically asked to send via UPS the 2nd time (they blamed the USPS for the first lost package). I told them my previous experience and they assured me this 2nd item was in good hands and that I can track the package from my receipt. 8 weeks later and the item never arrived. Turns out they did not send via UPS (again) and that I cannot track it. When I called to ask for assistance, the rudest female blamed me for it being lost saying I shouldn't trust them and ultimately it's my responsibility to make sure they used the right service. The UPS store on Meridian in Bellingham needs to be more clear about their open hours policy. It clearly states on both Google maps and Yelp that they are open till 5 on Sat. It still said they were open at 4:55 when we checked on the way home. Four cars were there at 4;35 and they were closed. All left with the joyful thought of having to drive back to take advantage of what they say is a free service. That must include the gas and your time. If they can't decide when they are going to be closed they should at least provide a drop box for the free returns customers who don't need to be there personally as long as they have the proper information provided online. Poorly managed service with not much consideration for customers who drive across town a half hour before closing time. read more

I had a framed drawing packaged and shipped from here. The box arrived with no marks in perfect shape, but when I opened it the frame and been severely damaged. So they must have dropped it when they packaged it and chose to see if they could get away with sending it without informing me. It's so upsetting to pay to have something carefully packaged and have it turn out they dropped it and were totally dishonest about it. It was an item of my father's who had just passed away and this was just a horrible way to treat a customer. Never use them for packaging. Terrible way to treat customers. read more

UPS on Meridian (360)738-7001, called approx 11:25 am 3/27/2020. The lady that answer the phone was talking over me in a very rude manner. Not only that, she hang up on me!!! I was trying to explain to her the patient's situation and she continuously talking over me. The patient is moving outside the country today and need her package ASAP. I understand the stress of all the front-liners coz I am one too. But you don't have to treat people the way you acted. It is a perfect time to respect & be nice to people if you don't know how to do that yet. If you just listen to how important I have to say maybe you will do above and beyond just like what I was trying to do for the patient. Stay healthy & be safe. Update 3/27/2020 12:40pm After almost 40mins of hold time I talked to the customer service 1.800.742.5877. She was very nice and she let me talk & explain the situation. The CSA agent sent a message to the UPS dispatch agent. She said that it may not make it coz the standard is they will call within an hour. In 10 minutes, the dispatch named HEATHER called. I explained to her the situation. I am picking it up in an hour and it will make it on time for the patient to pick it up on their way to the airport. Thank you so much HEATHER & the CSA that sent the message to you. People like you guys need to be appreciated for doing above & beyond unlike the person that I spoke with on Meridian st., Bellingham. Since the new ownership at the UPS Store at 4152 Meridian St #105, Bellingham WA 98225, service has gone down badly. On 9/30/19, we stopped by the store on Meridian in person and were told that we had to submit an email in order to use the service offered of having mail from our box forwarded to our new address for an additional fee of $5 each time the mail is forwarding . On 10/03/19, we sent an email to Store 2472 requesting that our mail be forwarded to our new address weekly and that we were willing to pay $5 each week to have our mail forwarded to us. Today 10/12/19, we sent a follow-up email requesting that our mail from box be forwarded weekly. Also, I called today and was told by Tyler that Danielle, who handles the mail forwarding is "tired of arguing with people that do not want to pay the $5 per week to have their mail forwarded and decided to not deal with it. And, Tyler said that the employees at The UPS Store 2472 were very busy and do not have time to get to the mail forwarding." The problem is that by not forwarding my mail The UPS Store 2472 is risking my credit and business relationships. Why offer a service for a fee and NOT complete it? I understand that COVID has made every business slow and difficult which i took into account before writing this review. I went into the store on 12/19/20 around 2pm and paid over $25 dollars to ship two Christmas cards that should have cost less than $2 with stamps, but I waited until the last minute so it was my fault that I had to pay an outrageous amount of money to get it there before Christmas. I was told it would get there 12/24 by EOD, which I thought was a little odd being that it was 5 days away but no Sunday service so more like 4. Anyways Christmas eve came and went, as did the day after Christmas. My package ended up arriving late on Monday the 28th, 4 days later than I was told. Went to the store today and ask if there was any sort of remedy for the late delivery because I paid extra to ensure it would arrive on time. I was told it's COVID everyone knows things are delayed and may or may not get there in time and that I should have known that. I was told everyone knows that and they should have mentioned it when I came in before. It was not mentioned, nor is it posted anywhere in the store. Even when the manager checked she informed me that the box was not checked saying I was informed. Even after that I was told I could not be refunded the difference between Ground shipping and 3 day air because they don't do refunds right now because of COVID. The manager stated it was not there fault and blamed COVID for everything. After tracking my package I found out that my package was processed until two days later and didn't even ship out until the 23rd. The day before it was due to be delivered. There was no way the package would have got there in time due to the stores delay in processing. Even with that information I was told it wasn't their fault and everyone knows COVID and the holiday season is the reason for the error. I will not be back to this location. I never thought a business could run so poorly and then blame a pandemic as a scape goat. The store nor UPS would take any sort of blame or offer any restitution. While the service in this particular facility has always been satisfactory, I would point out that the cost has nearly doubled since I last shipped a 15 lb, guitar, in a large rectangular box, just last April. Clerk suggested increased fuel prices, which is pure nonsense, to UPS website that, during summer past, forecast a 4.9% increase. In reality it went from $40 to $78 in 8 months. read more

The first time I went in there I didn't know I had to find my own customs documents, the male gent, was screaming at me- but failed to give me clear direction. The second time I had a wonderful female staff, who explained everything and processed my items. Today the male guy told me I needed three copies of the custom papers, instead of offering assistance he basically was going to dismiss me. The sweet lady said I can photocopy these for you no problem, I asked why he was rude to me every time I came inch said I know nothing about UPS, I said I do in fact I worked for them. He said where did you work? I said at the warehouse, he said well thats where you belong! I was appalled, as I now am a manager at Western University, and my husband if Chief of Police. He then went on to say I know nothing about customer service- I said who is your manager? he said I own this store. Not once was he kind, all the while the sweet employee looked embarrassed and appalled. I will be filling with headquarters, tweeting and possibly taking this further. All he had to say was, I am sorry we require three copies would you like me to copy them. He was horrible the first time and this time, I left in tears. When I worked for UPS I was valued, I had a amazing team, and the customers I delivered to , loved me- this UPS owner should NOT own a store, he is a stain to the company. Wow! I got a fun one for you ladies and gentlemen! I was going about my errands as I casually do and of course the UPS Store my last stop. If you ever get someone named Trish just run. She will be the one that looks very flustered even though she's not doing that much. My wonderful encounter with her begins as I'm in line but in the Amazon line on accident but I was next I just needed to fax a document. She says next of which I proceeded to her desk as I did arrive prior to the lady behind me she said you have an Amazon package go back to that line( first mistake). I then tell her I do not have an Amazon package but I have to fax a couple of pages to someone. I had fax it here before but for some reason it didn't go through so I had all of everything ready to go cover sheet Pages everything except for the fact that I put the fax number on the phone number line on the cover sheet. So Trish decides to almost have a meltdown over this she said she couldn't fax it cuz she didn't have the fax number at first I then proceeded to tell her that I simply put the fax number on the phone number line she says well she's not sure so I have to actually physically pull out a document with the fax number on it so she can see that the customer is not lying to her or is so incompetent that they would give her the wrong information so after me showing her this document with the fax number that match the phone number on the cover sheet I hear her still muttering while I'm not sure if I can fax this of which at this point I have been as calm and collected as I could possibly be over something that is so ridiculous I said oh my God would you like me to write that same number on the fax line so you can fax five pieces of paper can you would you like me to do that for you Trish will that make it easier for you. She then goes over and starts faxing it and saying oh well I hope it goes through literally just won't stop talking I have never seen anything like this ever I was so freaking pissed because it was so unnecessary. So I'm already telling myself this is my last time at the store because this is actually the second time she has given me trouble the first time I just didn't say anything about it cuz I figured she was having a bad day but I clearly see it was not the day or me it was her lack of experience and just flat-out giving a s***. So at this point I'm asking who the who are the managers that who the owner is because I just couldn't take it anymore. So of course I asked for the owners card the managers card mysteriously she can't find one of course she can't. So as I'm about to just literally snatch my papers back from I'm not even sure if they got backs or not with all of her Antics going on in walks Jessica the manager of which I was caught off-guard by cuz I was just so worked up at this point. She was very calming and understanding. She asked me to explain the situation and what happened of which I did and get ready for this ladies and gentlemen guess who was talking over me the whole time you know like a 5 year old when they get in trouble with their little brother Trish. She said that she didn't say or do any of that stuff she said I was making it up which as a 40 year old man with a lot on his plate I don't have time to play games or makeup things with anyone I definitely treat people will and I expect the same especially when I'm giving you my money. So at that point I said you know what you had your chance Trish it's not your turn to speak thank you Jessica as she provided the service at no charge today she said she heard everything that took place and for me to have a wonderful day!! Trust me it is most definitely not about the money I'm not rich but I have more than enough money to cover a simple fax. I was going to give this review of one but since Jessica stepped in and saved the day I was giving it a 5 so I'll meet in the middle with the three. Trish needs to be fired or strictly work in the back where she has no interaction with customers I've gotten better treatment from a feral cat. Jessica Briones needs a raise and a superhero cape. Went there to send off a return of a product to Amazon. They had sent me a code that paid for the packing and shipping in full. This store would not honor that code and demanded that I pay over $5 for shipping materials. Do not use this particular UPS store. My husband is a Vet and receives medication from the VA. He has had a box at the UPS Store on Meridian in Bellingham WA for about 8 years specifically to get his meds. They changed management a while ago. They incorrectly told him and charged him for a package they said had been waiting for him for a month, which cannot be true because he had picked up his meds two weeks earlier and there was no package. He also renewed the box for another year at that time. He complained to the manager about the fee for an not-picked up package. Today, he was told that his box was cancelled immediately with no notice and no refund. read more

Worst service ever! I purchased via Craigslist an industrial tool from a private individual in Bellingham, WA. I am in Austin, TX. Concerned about the item arriving here in the same condition in which it was purchased, I contacted the UPS store# in Bellingham to find out if the seller could drop off the item and then the store package the item and ship it to me. They were initially very helpful (and they answered their phone). As it turns out, the item was incorrectly packaged (according to UPS requirements) and arrived damaged. During the claim process I found out that UPS won't cover it because of the incorrect packaging, and they aren't affiliated with the UPS store. I also found out that the UPS store didn't insure it (and I was surprised to find that they shipped it without finding out the value), so the maximum I MIGHT be able to recoup is $100. Now the store phone goes directly to a recording, so I'm not able to contact them. As directed by that recording, I emailed. Their response was that they didn't realize I was trying to recoup my loss through the store, even though I followed the recommended (by UPS) channels to file the claim. So now I've paid that store to package and ship the item, I've paid the seller for the item, and I'm out more than $700 for an unusable tool. The store's website says that they ship anything, even grand pianos. I'd hate to see how they'd package that and I'd especially hate to see the condition it arrives in. The item I had shipped was a very rugged Grizzly brand tool in like-new condition, and they somehow managed to package it incorrectly and break it. Think twice before you decide to patronize this (or any) UPS store. My experience found this one to be entirely irresponsible and lacking in any kind of business integrity. If I could give 0 stars I would, UPS definitely deserves worse than 1 star. I tracked my package that said out for delivery and will be delivered by 8pm. I was home all day. At 8pm package had never arrived...at 830pm there was an update on the ups website that the package had been delivered. Being that Ive been home all day, pretty sure that cant be right went outside just to check and make sure and sure enough no package. while getting ready to call their "customer cant help you number," I checked status one more time. THERE WAS AN UPDATE, I got a excited for a second maybe they corrected their lie. No I was wrong they only added to it. The new status said, "customer agrees to pick package up at ups store." WTH?
