These people are always super helpful. A couple of times I went to them to submit parcels for priority mail and they have informed me that we missed to pickup for priority mail, both times they worked it out so they went out on the day I requested. Once they caught the truck right before it left and the other time one only the workers took my parcel to the postal station. I love to take my dog there while on walks, they are always delighted to see him and give him treats every time we are there. Their prices are standard with the services they offer, no cheaper, no more expensive, but they are a delight to work with and make our neighborhood better than it would be without them. read more

The service here is extraordinary! I have never possibly experienced anything like it, especially from such a small-staffed business. Too many packages to hold while you are trying to do business there? They notice and help you immediately before you even begin to process that you need help. The services are swift, friendly, accommodating and work successfully as I confirmed days later having sent off a package. I paid for some furniture and boxes to be picked up from my mother's house in Washington after she passed away in March. It is now the end of May and they have not yet been shipped. No reason was given, they've just been sitting there for two months. The fellow on the phone said everything was fine; I suppose he means they aren't damaged or lost in transit, they are still sitting there - safe but not shipped - in Bellingham. I am not a happy customer. I will follow up every other day or so til he actually ships my stuff. Unbelievable. read more

Pak Mail in Bellingham has been assisting with my U.S. receiving/shipping needs for many years now so this review is long overdue. Yes, Blaine is closer and more convenient for most Canadians, but the staff and level of service at Pak Mail are just awesome! To me, it's worth the extra 15-20 minute drive. Since I usually have to head into Bellingham anyway (hello Costco/Fred Meyer/Trader Joe's), the distance from the border isn't much of an inconvenience. We're treated like neighbors here. Julie and Tracy (+ ex-coworkers Lance/Calvin) are the best! They are super nice and go out of their way to assist with your packages, whether receiving or shipping them. I'm sure the other staff members are just as accommodating, but I've only interacted with those mentioned here. Pak Mail accepts any size package as long as it fits inside the store. There is no time limit for you to pick them up. You will receive a notification when a package arrives. Highly recommended shipping service! read more

Great small business if you need to ship, print documents or pickup a cute card for someone. They were incredibly helpful when we relocated to Bellingham several years ago. The company will palletize your furniture and possessions and ship wherever you need. They also are great and affordable when my home printer is down and I need things printed. Street parking is available and they're open seven days/week. read more

I've been very fortunate to have used Pak Mail for many years as I live just up the block from them. They've always been helpful, providing packaging and complete mail and shipping service, as well as duplicating machines when I have to get something copied quickly. I think I even faxed something a few years ago and it has proved a great place to get business done. They are so helpful, too--all of them working to assist you when you need it. They recommend what mailers to use, what the costs are for the mailing service you need, keep records on your previous mailings, etc. I no longer need to wait in long lines at the post office as I can get everything done in one place. I called ahead at 2:40 and inquired on the notary service she told me there was one available and that they closed at 4 o'clock. I came in six minutes later only to be accosted by the notary (Tracy Sinclair) who is in some urgent need to leave the business to go to the post office. I required an urgent notary service before the end of the business week and here this notary was huffing and puffing as if I was some major inconvenience to them being in this business to pay them $10 per signature for a notary service. So confusing, after all we're customers correct? AnyWho when I had another set of 3 documents for the notary to sign they refused indicating there is no notary paperwork on the document. When I inquired as to whether we could hand write the information and I was told no. Strange i've had other documents notarized before and usually there is a stamp covers all of the information needed to stamp onto a handwritten letter - whatever. I digress, So here I'm attempting to modify the document on my phone have it re-submitted and emailed then printed in order to have it signed off on. And just as I'm ready to send it for print At 3:45 this employee begin to aggressively count money in the till slamming change on the counter as if to indicate in 15 minutes they were closing in a nonverbal covertly hostile manner. At this point I decided karmically I did not want this notary to touch my important business documents and they could wait till Monday. Tracy was kind enough to thank me for my business and apologize for the fact that she was unable to meet my needs however it was done in a covertly hostile (ah poor baby) kind of manner with a smile on her face. I would recommend steering clear of this particular location at the end of the day perhaps they are little bit more accommodating, friendly and helpful first thing in the morning. I did get one document notarized I did request a receipt of which I never received. read more

Very simply, this business is going to fail and I suggest anyone looking for a notary visit their bank. 1. They don't understand, or are ignorant on the value of repeated customers vs the cost of gaining new customers. 2. They have given up on learning and adapting as the world continues to change. 3. They don't care. Today, I went into this store to have someone verify my documents for my Employment Eligibility (I9) government document. My new employer is on the east coast and I work remotely, so they needed an authorized representative to verify my passport/identification. Apparently, something I can google in 2 minutes is too much trouble for them. They refused to listen to me while I was calm and respectful. I was hoping this was only an isolated response from 1 employee, but the person who seemed like the manage/owner gave the same go-away response. I found myself slowly walking out the door, calmly, respectfully. It was weird. I'm sure they are fine completing mundane tasks, like scanning packages and showing UPS where to get the packages to deliver. They won't respond to this because the truly don't care. read more

PakMail is one of those local businesses that make me happy to live in a fairly small town. Every single time I go in, I am greeted so kindly by Tracy. She goes out of her way to not only remember me, but to remember exactly where I regularly send my packages to, and how I like them organized. This is extremely helpful to me, because sometimes there is a line and it isn't efficient for me to wait. They will grab my items from me in line, confirm they are more normal shipments, and allow me to go on my way. Jason and the guys packed, crated and shipped my mothers china cabinet to me in Houston. I was very impressed how the two pieces were packed and protected inside the crate with one and two inch Styrofoam sheets plus sheet foam wrapping. When we moved up here almost 3 years ago, we decided to get a mailbox service instead of receiving mail rurally. We were luck enough to find Pak Mail and can't imagine being without them. They receive packages for us from UPS, FEDEX, US MAIL, and send us an email right away when a package arrives. Our local joke with them is wondering who is ahead on ordering stuff off the internet, my husband or me. I love seeing these guys, they've been consistently polite, they help me package and mail stuff that I just don't want to deal with on my own, they have notary services, help with faxes,....WE LOVE THEM!!!! I have seen them package and mail HUGE pieces of furniture and other items and am still amazed at the stuff that comes and goes out of there. I had them mail a very expensive item to my daughter and it arrived perfectly. Sometimes its worth a little money each year to have this kind of reliable assistance and they have reduced the hassle factor in our lives significantly. Not only did they come to our home and pick-up the memories and china, but they inventoried it, packed it and shipped it across the country to our niece. To insure that a porcelain piggy bank arrived safely they removed the coins counted them and repackaged everything. It arrived on a per-assigned date in excellent condition. read more
