The UPS Store - UPS on RM 620 - Shipping Centers Near Me - Austin, Texas

I had a bad experience at this 620 UPS store and left a negative review which has been subsequently censored/removed. I suspect the business requested Yelp to delete it. Happy conclusion: I immediately went to FedEx on Louis Henna and had my package shipped overnight for half the price. Thanks FedEx for the great experience. I need to send a mail with a tracking number so I went to this UPS store. The lady quickly put my mail on the scale and give me the price. Before paying I asked her "Can I track my mail?". She told me I will have a tracking number on the receipt, then I paid and went home. After 2 days, I checked the receipt and found there is no tracking number. I immediately went back to the store and ask for the tracking number, then she just realized that mail can't track because she use USPS to send out my mail. I have no idea why she assume I want to mail it in regular post (USPS), I went there is because I want to mail it in UPS and get a tracking number. At this time I just hope my mail will not lost. The store need give their employee more training and don't try to assume customers want to use USPS service. read more

I called ahead, they said .22 a page to print standard black and white photos yourself. I asked if it was double that for double sided, and the young woman on the phone with me confirmed that no, double sided black and white pages were .22 a page, not a side. so I came in, printed, the woman was there in the store. I ring up with another person, and they charge me .22 a side, not a page. The young woman said, "Oh, I didn't know that!" But they did not honor the quoted price. Terrible Service! read more

I have always loved going to this UPS store for the friendly and fast service and convenient location. But today I was blown away by the amazing customer service that I received by their employee Jocelyn. She worked on locating my package from the minute she clocked into work at 9:30 until my problem was solved which involved a lot of maneuvering. She masterfully coordinated delivery drop off with the UPS driver in another state, located new correct business address on Google, called me several times to keep me updated on her progress, etc. After working on my issue for two hours, all was well and my package was finally to be delivered that same day thanks to Jocelyn's outstanding work. UPS is lucky to have her!! So thrilled to have such a great store close to me with a great team!! read more

This used to be just another errand, where the employees were helpful and knew their stuff. Now (July/August 2023), I dread having to go in this store. The new employees are not friendly and do not know the meaning of "customer service". How about you greet people when they walk in? I am here right now. I drove all the way to this location as it says it is open at eight. It isn't open. The sign says eight. This has caused me to travel out of my way on an errand that I can not accomplish now without traveling to another location. This has cost me money. This is the worst experience I have ever had a store. Sherry Ford has no business managing a lemonade stand, much less a legitimate business such as a UPS store. Jocelyn also has no business working with the public as she is unprofessional, aggressive, spoke derisively about me within a few feet, and told me, "We're not going to help you so just leave!" wearing her Tokyo Ghouls cap. All I needed to do was send my package back to Zappos, and they absolutely refused to assist me because I have an underlying health condition and cannot tolerate wearing a mask. Sherry Ford says she is just enforcing the governor's mask mandates, but was either totally ignorant of the exemptions listed on the executive order or thinks that her store can make policies that are in violation of established law. I spoke to her on the phone and after I explained the situation, she said, "Just put on a mask! Or go to another UPS location and maybe they will help you." I was standing there in the store for 30 minutes waiting for the sheriff to come and make a report about their illegal denial of service instead of spending 30 seconds in there sending the package. Title III of The Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 states that places of public accommodation must not deny someone access to all goods and services due to a disability. Sherry Ford should have her UPS franchise license revoked immediately as she and her employees are a horrific representation of UPS values. Customers, do yourself a favor and go the UPS store on Palm Valley Blvd in Round Rock. The employees, Addie and Shane, are polite, competent, and do not practice discrimination. Shane was very pleasant and took care of my return in under 1 minute. read more

Surely did not think I would need to be writing a review of my favorite UPS store, but then I saw that the only review it has is weird. I have gone there since it opened. They are super polite and helpful. Nobody has ever tried to upsell or overcharge me. If you did not like the shipping method chosen, the clerk could have voided it and started over if you asked. Their rates are the same as any UPS store. Easy parking, clean inside, the copiers work well. Lots of good greeting cards. read more

I had THE WORST experience with the owner of this store. I had a package that I had to drop off with a pre-paid shipping . When I entered the store with my 2yr old , there were two many people waiting to ship their stuff. As I just have to drop off , I went to the front desk and asked the owner where I can place the package. He just gave me a look and said " Don't you see the sign" and showed me "Drop off package". I was surprised by this response and thought he is having a bad day . It's not like its a standard procedure for everyone to know where to place the package. My package was little heavy , so I got my own dolly and placed it on the corner. While I was leaving the store , he said " Mam- pickup the package as I have to weigh it" . I was utterly shocked. I told him" this is a pre-paid package , so the shipping is already paid" . He said " I have to weigh it before I place it in my truck" We weighed with great difficulty and he made a note of it. I came back home and mentioned this to my husband explaining him my experience. We both got very upset with his behavior. In about 30mins, I get a text from the owner on my cell phone (used this as a contact on shipping details" "Come and pickup you package" I texted back and asked " can you give me a reason why I cannot ship my package?" he said " Its not shippable" I asked him " What you mean by not shippable? " . " I don't have to explain you, come and pick up the package or I will throw it in the trash" !@#$#%$%^ Just shocked! I called him and said " why are you so mean to me ....Is this how you treat your customers?" He disconnected my phone. Then my husband went by the store to talk to him and bring back the package . The owner said " I did not say such things to your wife". Then my husband showed him all the text we got from him . He said no word , did not even apologize , and my husband said " this is not how you treat your customers" and walked out of the store. We wanted to leave a complain to the main UPS team, and where asked to leave the review at the main office which was in Round rock. When my husband called to leave a complain ...the manager said " that's my brother that owns the branch on 620" . Don't think our complaint went anywhere. Never ever going to walk into this store nor recommend to anyone. Don't think I deserved this for no reason. read more

Love this store, very polite and helpful staff and always do the little extras. My only gripe is the way the location is addressed. I use this place as my mailbox location and there seems to be a problem in the USPS and insurance co computers on recognizing this stores street address. Otherwise, no worries. read more

Similar experience here as others on several occasions. Each time I dismiss it thinking oh well bad day. I'll drive to other postal center in the future. Same smoke smell on a couple of occasions, a complete jerk at the desk who was not only rude to me, but to some older female employee he was training. He scolded me for signing a document prior to notarizing it and explaining that's the "whole point of a notary." I know that and had accidentally signed and knew I'd have to sign again. 4 or 5 chances are enough, I'll take my shipping and notary business elsewhere. read more

Both my father and mother are disabled as far as mobility. This location is fast, friendly and precise with excellent customer service. They notarized and witnessed a power of attorney for my father within minutes and even offered to come out to the car since he is handicapped. On my visit I met the owner, who has 3 locations. I would recommend the customer service here to anyone. Awesome!! read more

Unreliable. Dropped off item at 4:15 pm for next day express delivery. Scanned by girl behind the counter. The item never left the location until the evening the following day. This UPS Store is the epitome of bad customer service. The contract I signed with them states that they will text me if my package can't fit into the PO Box. An online company sent me a package on 10/15/14. I checked my mail box several times but didn't see any. On 11/17/14, I called the online company and got a confirmation that the package was delivered on 10/21/14 and signed by Miller, a staff at the UPS Store. I spoke to the store owner, Daniel Demeson, and he told me that he texted me when the package was delivered since it won't fit into the PO Box. I never received the text and asked I him why he didn't call or text me again after a few days. Instead of apologizing for letting my package sit in his store for 26 days, he replied condescendingly that he can't call 300 customers for their packages. When I asked to get a refund for the remaining 4 months of my contract, he said arrogantly that it is non-refundable and I should have read all the details. He sounded like the know-all bully. A little apology, respect and concern would have gone a long way. Would definitely do business somewhere else. read more

Our local UPS franchise, located at 16238 Ranch Road 620 e, Austin, TX 78717 (512-244-3375), provides: outstanding customer service; safe and secure packing and shipping; and every person who has received one of our very heavy shipments (a TV, knitting machines and accessories) has been happy because the items were packed, shipped, and delivered in excellent condition. A recent knitting machine buyer across the country had this to say about her shipment from us through our local UPS store: It arrived "looking as pristine as though it had just been wrapped." Franchise owner Daniel and manager Jason work with us every step of the way, starting with initial estimates, to wrapping, packing, and shipping in the safest way possible - especially for very heavy items - many of which are not manufactured anymore. Service has degraded in recent months. Have had a P.O. box here for a couple of years. Store was closed one day with no advance notice. There was a number to call if customer needed a package, but no one returned my call. They are undergoing construction now, so there's no way to get to box without standing in line. read more

The staff has been helpful to me when I've made copies, however the last two times I've gone in there has been a strong stench of cigarette smoke. I made copies last time and was there for about 15 minutes with my children and it was giving me a headache. I went in again today, hoping it was a fluke but the smell is still there. I also wish they would've helped me out the door when I had a stroller. I've come in several times with my hands full and no one offers to get the door, even with no other customers there. read more

Went in to ship a package only to find out I could not use a UPS account number to ship something at the UPS store. I was told I needed to drive to a drop box several miles away to get a waybill and fill it out first. Don't waste your time. I sent important documents (with signature requirement) to California to be there in 4 to 5 days from this store. After calling and wasting my time for 2 weeks with UPS, they declared the package is lost. UPS asked to go to store where I mailed it from and show them my receipt. UPS and the store owner (I think) called and informed me that they will return the shipping cost and documents do not have any value for UPS. Well it was important and why I had signature required but for UPS it has no value. Had I told this information before the store charged me, I may have not used UPS. UPS customers service sucks when they lose your package and make you run around. UPS and the store does not take ownership of their failures and let the customer take the loss. After month and half, the package was finally delivered but it was useless for me by then. read more

I don't buy them very often, so I was pretty ignorant to the price of a book of stamps. Who can keep up with the price anyway as it seems to change so much. I was very surprised when I realized a day later that the ups store had charge $4 extra for a book of stamps. I understand some extra, but 40% to hand me a book of stamps!!! I have had a Box at this store now for a few years, I got an email from them i had a package to pick up. I know the hours pretty good considering i have been with them and had a box here for a few years, so i know they are open until 6:30 on weekdays. I got there Monday 2/22/16 at 6:18 sharp so i could get my package. The door was all locked up and closed, apparently they are closing up early even though the hours are until 6:30 and that has been the hours as long as i can remember. This kind of ticks me off and is an inconvienience considering i made the trip there and wanted to pick up my package and now i will have to make another trip there tomorrow, I'm kind of busy on the weekdays so my time is important and i have been a paying customer for years so this is not good and does not make me happy, i may have to consider other options when it is time to renew this year. read more
