What they call a "lost" package is really a "stolen" package. How do you lose a 105 bound bike box? If it's lost, than find it! It's been 3 months. They are of know assistance. Will not accept a claim for "lost" or stolen goods. I would avoid this lication and Amanda especially. She never scanned in my package even though the lable was created there. Service was great. Would have given them 5 stars, but the store opened 4 minutes late. But you know how Ann Arbor traffic can be. The staff was friendly and efficient. Asked if I needed a receipt. An efficient transaction. They have additional items for sale, such as a selection of birthday and assorted cards. They also have PO boxes that you can rent. However they are within the locked area of the store, so I would assume that you can only get to your PO Box during business hours. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place that I often come to mail packages. People are friendly and service is good, but the store DOES NOT OPEN ON TIME which is a major inconvenience. Currently standing outside of the store on a Saturday past 10:20 when it is supposed to open at 10, and this is the 3rd time within the last couple of months. I didn't think much of it when it happened the first time but from conversations with others waiting outside, this is clearly not uncommon. That's a shame. read more

Went to this supposed "UPS Store" to ship under a UPS small business code and they said "We can NOT take a UPS shipping number". Looks like a UPS store but it not . It is an independent store and this store makes more money by charging a massive mark-up on shipping costs. When we asked them how much to ship with them vs using the UPS business code we had, it was 2x the rate. We took our business elsewhere. Be very aware that this is NOT a true UPS store. read more

I've been to this location many times - even when it was Mailboxes Etc.... the service back then and now are top notch... they greet you right away as you enter and service is quick.... I usually spend around five minutes per visit, so it's always nice.... The only complaint I would have about this place - they need to replace the carpet... it looks old and out dated.... they should but wooden floor :) read more

I went to ship packages on June 9th and on June 20th I get a call from a customer that their package never arrived and if I plan on sending it. Naturally, I'm thinking "great package is lost" but it turns out, when I type the number in, the label was created, but still in pre-shipment. That means the package never left the store and USPS never received it. Between slapping a label on my parcel and the exit door to the USPS truck, my package vanished into thin air. I call the store. Of course, I can't just speak to someone who knows how this works, but rather speak to a new employee who is putting me on hold to ask her boss. I felt bad for her, because she was put in a crappy situation that her boss should have handled, so not only do they suck at this point for shipping my package, but also customer relations AND just minimizing unnecessary situations for their own employees. If she needed to learn how this gets done, she should have listened on another phone. Back to the fun stuff - 15 minutes later via the new employee, "What happened is our UPS store weighed your package wrong, but it was caught, so it wasn't able to go through first class mail, so wait a few weeks to see if it gets there." And me of course, "Do you have any record that the other label was created that I can send to my customer?" The answer was no, but don't worry if my package doesn't arrive to my customer, I can have my $7.13 refunded to me. Come on....you had ONE JOB. Here I sit....close to $100.00 (counting the item itself that was lost) in the hole, a pissed off customer, a disciplinary warning from my boss, and a shipping company who can't seem to ship. I guess what pisses me off about the whole situation is that I was never contacted in regards to the package being incorrectly processed on their end. They have my phone number, they easily could have called and I would have for sure shipped UPS ground because I needed tracking. If you aren't going to handle USPS packages in the same regard as UPS, you really shouldn't offer it as an option. At least you make a small percentage off of the USPS rather than the UPS returns that people drop off for free. read more

I dropped off a package and didn't see any activity on the tracking number a week later. I was convinced it was either lost or stolen. I knew that whatever it was, it was definitely NOT my fault. I went back to the store on Friday, the day before Christmas, and took a reprint of the label. The girl behind the counter asked if she could help me. She was nice and polite. I told her I dropped off a package a week earlier and asked her to scan the label I had reprinted. She informed me it wasn't in their system. I asked if they had surveillance and if they could at least verify I was there. I gave her the date and a time range of 30 minutes. She went to the back and spoke to the manager. The manager, Max, took a look at the surveillance & didn't see me come into the store. And he looked at an hour before and after the time I provided. After I assured him it was definitely that day, he looked at the entire day, but again, I was not seen. He even checked the log file for the tracking number for the entire month of December, but it was nowhere to be found. I felt like I was living an episode of The Twilight Zone and that I was losing my mind. If this couldn't be resolved, I'd be out $700. Insurance would not apply because I couldn't even prove I dropped off the package to begin with. Max was very respectful and understanding of my feelings and my situation. He recommended I take one final look around to try and find the receipt I was given when I dropped off my package. He told me the only thing that makes sense is that (since I was given a receipt) the package had a different label on it than what I thought. I took his advice and went home. I looked around, again, and all I found was a receipt that I had found earlier but had discounted because the destination was not correct. I took a closer look and realized that this WAS the receipt that was handed to me when I dropped off the package and the reason the destination was not correct was because the label I handed to them was the wrong one. The following Monday I contacted someone at the location it was sent to & sent them the correct label to get the package headed to the correct destination. Turns out it was my fault! I had actually gone to the store two days later & two hours earlier (than what I thought & would have sworn to in a court of law) & handed them the wrong label. I am extremely appreciative of Max & the fact that it was actually him who helped me the first time I went there and that he handed me a receipt without asking if I wanted one, because I probably would have told him I didn't need it. One of the nicer UPS stores I've been to. The staff is extremely friendly and the store itself is pretty big. For prepaid stuff like Amazon returns, this place will give you a receipt and will actually insist on it. It's why I drive across town to this one instead of going to the Plymouth Rd store where they will flat out refuse to give you a receipt. read more

Took a box in to be shipped to Tokyo. $100 cheaper to send USPS rather than UPS so paid them $147 on May 20. Never scanned, package is nowhere. Asked them to follow up and they said once it left their store they had no responsibility. They were rude. Didn't offer to help. Worst customer service. I've been here a few times now because I order a lot of clothes online. Return shipping tends to be through UPS and this is the closest one. The service is really excellent at this location. The staff is very nice and attentive, and I really appreciate the awesome customer service. I took off a star because its a little slow, and I wish their hours were better. Weekends and nights are the only time for busy grad students to stop in and even just staying open an hour later would help a lot. Aside from that, a definite recommend, along with the other UPS location on Plymouth. The one on Carpenter is horrible - avoid! read more

The following morning I got an email & a voicemail with the total cost for this shipment. They offered to take my credit card over the phone to save me another trip into the store. If you need to ship something via UPS or need a box with a professional address, then definitely use this locally owned and operated UPS franchise store.
