My friends and I walked in, at 12:30am on a Tuesday. We walked over after experiencing a very rude bartender at the beer garden. It was my friend's birthday. Before leaving i had to ask the bartender for her name because of how amazing she was. I wrote it o my hand so i wouldn't forget. Thanks Cammy! You were amazing. (I probably spelled that wrong ) She took care of us, laughed with us, and kept the drinks coming. She really turned an ordinary and boring Tuesday into one of my best nights in this city. The music was a great mix of old school millennial classics such as T-Pain and even Eminem. But also played new songs. The place was kind of empty but that was expected. There were about 20-25 people there all together. Everyone was so nice and having a good time. There's pool tables, beer pong tables, and different areas to hang out. We stayed until 2am and the security even made sure to wish us a safe ride home. Everyone was welcoming and attentive. I've never had much interest in coming here before but now, I'm excited to come back! read more

Came here to meet up with some friends on Friday night. I have never been before. I was surprised it was a lot bigger inside than I thought. They do have games such as two ping pong tables, dart board, jenga, cornhole and various other little games. We only stayed for about an hour or so. We arrived around 8:30 pm, which was early and a bit dead, but we had another place in mind, which is why we left. I feel like after 10 pm, it does get livelier and would be a good time if we ended up staying. I will definitely come back and see how it is later in the night. The bartenders were nice, and we had no problems with the bouncer at all. read more

I was here on a Tuesday night for a last-minute weeknight outing and everyone was very sweet to begin with. We played a few games (jenga, pool, pong) with friends and others. At one point, I was getting a call, so I went outside where a person with a name tag told me to just hop over the fence (whose exit was blocked off), so I did. I took my phone call and was welcomed back into the bar. We were playing games and buying drinks fr this place till 1:45 when they told us they were closing soon. The last few of us were ushered out at about 1:50. Again, the route we were led out was gated off. So I hopped over (like I did before, no penalty) and my drink was yanked out of my hand with a remark-"this is the fourth time!" Huh?? Idk dawg I'd never seen this man before and had not had any drinks taken from me prior to. Anywaysss, will not be returning, good time until it wasn't. Would give a one star if not for that female bartender who was responsive and sweet. Xoxo read more

Had a great time here last Sunday. Played a couple rounds of Jenga and then several games of 301 on the dart boards. Good better selection and friendly staff. Nice time overall. read more

bartender named mckayla (however it's spelled) was VERY RUDE when I was trying to get a drink. I waited patiently for 20 minutes for my turn and she served everyone beside of me over and over- and when I finally said "excuse me I'm sorry I was here for a long time just trying to get a beer" and she responded with "I really don't care". and proceeded to serve those amongst me. I was very offended because I was trying to tip really well for my fellow bartenders. definitely don't advise that you go to her for drinks. made my experience way more frustrating than I had ever imagined. read more

10/10 for the people who work here, the vibes, the music 1/10 for taking the rose off the tap read more

I visited this bar and enjoyed myself until I was harassed by the male bartender who lives upstairs in the complex. He tried to get me up to his apartment then after I rejected him he blamed me for it. He was trying to sleep with me. read more

The Union is everything I love in a divey bar without anything I hate in a divey bar. Great people watching, great place to watch a game, great place to find yourself inebriated and ordering uber eats with full support of your fellow bar attendees. Pros: Bring your dog, awesome bartenders, great specials - half off booze on Mondays, $5 RB vodka on Fridays, fun games Cons: Absolutely none. The Union is my safe space. read more

This USED to be my go to bar. I loved the staff for years and starting about 6 months ago, I don't recognize anyone and the quality of service has drastically fell off. Service is slower and I definitely miss the seasoned bartenders I came to love. Not sure what happened but I do miss the staff they used to have. I've been a weekly regular up until now. read more

Music, beer pong, pool table, Jenga, lots of TVs, and plenty of space to sit make it a good place to grab some drinks and hang with friends. There are daily specials so make sure you check them on social media but there isn't a draft list as they are always rotating what's on tap. They do not serve food, but have had popcorn available before. read more

Fun neighborhood bar. They offer great drink specials and lots of games from beer pong to jenga to pool. The vibe is nice and casual here and it can be a welcome break from the usual South End scene. They bring in a pretty good crowd for Patriots games as I believe the owner is a big fan. They do not have a kitchen but they usually have a food truck out front where I once had an incredible meatball sub! The location doesn't get as much foot traffic as the bars along the light rail so it is easy to overlook but it is nice watering hole with great bartenders and friendly people. Stop in and see for yourself! read more

one of our favorite spots!! great atmosphere, great music, lots of different areas to hangout. all the bartenders are great, but eric is awesome!! would definitely recommend this place. read more

Good beer selection and lots of games. Old World of Beer and then something else location... Not our scene (being "old and married"), but great bartender who found a few beers we hadn't had before. read more

If you're into fraternity's this place is similar. It's got a beer pong table, multiple craft beers on tap and liquor. Random mismatched furniture and a dark room. It isn't a terrible place, but better then some over priced places in South end like Gin Mill. If you're looking for a low key spot on a Saturday night this is a good place to at least start your night. read more

A nice break from the typical southend bar. Great place to catch your favorite team on one of their many TVs. Huge bar with an AMAZING staff including the owner who is typically around chatting with the regulars or helping out. Also if you are into trivia check it on on Wednesdays and on Mondays it's SIN with half off! read more

Me & my boyfriend had the best time at the Union. Jacob was our bartender and he had great vibes & service. 10/10 would recommend and would come back!! read more

This is my favorite bar I love the union and they do an amazing job at making me feel very welcome after a long day of work between the bartenders raven and a pretty blonde, the best! legion Juicy J on tap my fav! I just wanted to make sure that they recognize for how great of a job they do and Sam for having a great team. Not easy in this industry and I'm always impressed when I go by the service. Thanks Curt and Jake for keeping us safe! Don't sleep on this gem! read more

Not a good decision if you choose to go out this place is mid and security is excessively aggressive, don't spend your money on drinks if you plan on getting drunk here cause if you are caught in between a entanglement or argument the security will start trying to fight everyone in the crowd to say the less if you decide to come here. The place is too crowded to be avoiding issues like these. And they happen frequently here. read more

Super fun bar on South Blvd . It's very casual, they have great specials and activities. The best deals I would say are on Mondays, with their service industry special of 50% off, but I haven't visited any other day of the week. If they serve food, I'm not aware. There is patio seating that is shaded and some arcade games indoors , karaoke on some nights too. Definitely worth the visit...especially on Mondays!!! read more

I've been going to this place for years and have had the best times. My last experience February 28th, 2023 was absolutely terrible. When my buddy and I showed up, for no reason, the bouncer said my buddy could not come in and then when we asked why he said quote "because he has to buy me and my buddy a drink". We were laughing because we thought he was kidding and he wasn't. So we said "we will" and didn't obviously because that's not okay. Well he was upset about it later, came up to us pushed my buddy and said we had to get out. Then when I asked what the issue was he didn't respond, but instead smacked my drink and my buddies drink out of our hands. So we all stepped outside where his buddy from the beginning that "we had to buy a drink for" brandishes his firearm at us committing aggravated assault. Bouncer ( the obese one ) tried extorting us, then he escalated the situation from a verbal confrontation to physical force, then his buddy escalating the situation from a now physical force to a deadly force encounter. Still considering on wether or not I'll take legal action against the two individuals, but they need to be fired immediately and I will not be returning to The Union until such is done. read more

The owner of this bar ruined my night over a $2 tip on $13 tab in the middle of a date and took our drinks away while he was drunk. Last time I ever visit this establishment. read more

Great trash for if you're drunk as hell and not looking for people to talk to. It's not too bad but it kinda is

The union is a dog friendly sports bar. That's right, you can bring your dog inside on game days and any other day of the week! Fun atmosphere with affordable drinks and drink specials. Also Monday is 50% off everything. Definitely worth a visit! read more

The Union is a great place on the South end for everyone to chill. This bar has a nice atmosphere, great owner, awesome bartenders, and security who is not aggressive like other places in uptown. I have come to The Union several times for service industry night, but never for a date. Jess and Jade were bartending when I arrived a little earlier than the person I was meeting. I let them know this was my first time meeting him and they told me to signal if I ever felt uncomfortable or needed anything. It was so nice to be able to rely on them. Great service and great support from both of these ladies. 12 for 10 would recommend!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU CAN PAY WITH CASH. I went here almost a month ago for two drinks and was served by Jessica. My tab was 12 dollars and I tipped 10 dollars for a total of 22, but my account was charged 33. I've called so many times and left my info and After 3 weeks, i finally called and washed them only for them to say dispute it with my bank. Ridiculous. I definitely won't be returning. read more

The Union Bar was awesome! Visited on 3/19 with my boyfriend, his friends and family to celebrate his birthday. *** LET IT BE KNOWN THAT VALERIE BLEW US AWAY!!! Her service was excellent! Make sure you stop by and show The Union some love!!!! You won't regret it!! read more
