I managed to go with a veteran and we made it all the way from Waxahachie through to Cleburne. We started at 9 in the morning and didn't stop until 6 pm. I found a lot of great items that I left with and even as we speak there's an item or two that was great that I didn't leave with. And now I'm quite upset that I managed to leave those things behind. Since I'm now in the loop on this I'll go every year; both times during the year. You can find everything from clothes, dishes, Christmas items, home décor, odds & ends, antiques, furniture, etc. Its a mix up of a thrift store, antique store, yard sale, and estate sale. I bought a new purse and new shoes for $15!!!! And I get a compliment on my purse every time I leave home. It was a great experience; can't wait til the next one!

The shops range from old to new items for Sale. The restrooms are clean and have enough stalls for a decent crowd. The food is hit and miss, I loved my mango raspa but my mexican nachos were not great. Basic fair food is available at a lower cost than most fairs. There were plenty of food trucks and beer was flowing (since it was held in the back parking lot of Community Beer Company (3 tokens for $12=3 beers). There were fun local bands and a dj. Plus there were plenty of vendors selling a variety of wares from art to clothes to edibles (like olive oil and flavored salts). The area was spacious and the people who brought their own chairs were smart. The crowd (which definitely got bigger as the day progressed) was fun and there were lots of dogs. The biggest lack was a non-beer option. There was a small (free) water station inside the brewery, but any other beverages were whatever canned or bottled drinks that the food trucks were selling, which meant waiting in line with the food people. A lemonade stand or some such would have been extremely welcome as the day warmed up. My only other complaint is that there doesn't seem to be a regular time for this market...maybe because it's new? My Dallas contact said it was on a weekday last time and wasn't as well attended. Let's hope it continues and on a regular basis.

I would recommend an ice cream or popsicle vendor for the summer! We opted for cold beer and wine instead ($5 each)! They have picnic tables and live music. We made necklaces/bracelets out of copper, at the "make and take" metal workshop! That was a lot of fun and they turned out pretty cute! The vendors mainly had jewelry and clothing. There was also a few food vendors. We had a great time, I am excited for next time. I might wait a few months to go again, when the weather cools down!
