It was a beautiful Saturday and we wanted to be out before the next cold front had hit dfw. I was truly impressed by this flea market! If your looking for time to be out and enjoy the day Traders Village is family friendly place to do just that. You can shop, eat, and ride rides! What's more to want!? The shops range from old to new items for Sale. The restrooms are clean and have enough stalls for a decent crowd. The food is hit and miss, I loved my mango raspa but my mexican nachos were not great. Basic fair food is available at a lower cost than most fairs. The rides seems stable and were functional but I didn't get a chance to try them out. The wind started to pick up and it was time to go. I haven't been here since I was a child and it was so nostalgic, the service everyone was nice , the vendors were great . We went before the weather got hot and before more people came , we found a lot of vintage games and toys that my nerdy family loved . I came to play with the animals and try the different foods . If you like flea markets, this is definitely a place to stop when visiting Dallas. This is one of the largest flea market I've ever been in. Parking is five dollars that you pay as you pull in. I found this to be odd as I've never paid parking at a Flea Market in my life. There are the main covered areas with storage facilities that the vendors open and set their shops up every morning. There's also covered areas where vendors can set up their tables on a temporary type basis and then on the outer ring, all around are the very temporary vendors that come and go as they set up. Anything from one to several tables to sell their wears. A great variety of products as well as a food court and children's rides with a roller coaster in the middle. Plenty of food vendors scattered throughout the market as well. Lots of fun for all and great place to walk and shop. read more

Avoid Sam's electronics on booth # 50. They sold me a $500 already assembled e bike. They told me it would be a hassle to put one together new in box. My son had less than a week, only riding it work. On the forth day the front wheel came off and he fell forward and got a minor concussion and neck muscle tear. I took the bike back and the man blamed my son saying he must have been hoping on the bike like it was a BMX bike. The bike has a the 20 pound battery sitting on a basket on the front wheel the hoping excuse is ridiculous. He wouldn't replace or fix the bike. He was rude and called the police on me they wouldn't do anything since I did nothing wrong. Don't buy anything worth more than $30 here not worth it. read more

We visited here on a Sunday afternoon expecting a nice flea / farmer's market and were greeted with a portal to a third-world country. Garbage, abused animals, unaccompanied children, stolen goods, and gunpowder fire poppers litter the entire area. The place is packed with people blasting loud music with no regard to the others around them. We walked around for a little bit and immediately left, we felt so uncomfortable. Most of the items being sold are bulk junk from Amazon or AliExpress. The conditions that some "pet" sellers were keeping their animals in brought me to tears and I filed a report with the Grand Prairie Animal Control who said that I was far from the first person to report abuse here. Not a safe place for children, families, or anyone who has a heart for animals. read more

Ahh, Traders Village. Absolutely enormous. So much to see. $5 to park, free entry, and then you're off... You can seriously spend a lot of time here, especially if the weather is right. It's like an amusement park meets a farmers market meets a flea market. And flea market includes everything under the sun, from cars to furniture to antiques to new clothes to local art to seasonal decor and more. Sooooo much more. And you're allowed to barter! The grounds are covered in endless rows of vendors, rides, carnival-type games, and food and drink stands. There's a few stages and live music. Some of the vendor stand are super small, some are set up like an actual indoor store. Some are beautifully organized and some are a filled with piles of treasure to dig through. You'll find multiple produce stands with probably the largest variety of seasonal fruits and veggies I've ever seen set up outdoors, with items I'm less familiar with like different types of cactus, lychee, passion fruit, and kumquat. They seem to have every pepper, tomato, and squash; just perpetual rainbows of variety. As far as food goes, they've got several different stands and little outdoor restaurants serving things like turkey legs, corn dogs, hot links, street tacos, Thai food, funnel cakes, roasted corn and elote, nachos, slushies... Then there's a large indoor spot with AC called Gary's Grill for hamburgers, hotdogs, nuggets, fries, etc. Plenty of food options. There's even wine, beer, and those frozen wine-based "margaritas." My family and I come to Trader's Village for 3 main things - The Hot Links, the Elotes, the Turkey Legs. Everything else is a bonus like their funnel cakes and fruit cups. Coming here you shouldn't have high expectations, I mean it's in the name "Trader's" so if you're not a haggler or you expect 5 star service, do not come on the village grounds. The parking fee has gone up but it's a small fee. Would recommend coming for the experience and advise to go before the morning church crowd lets out. read more

Coolest flea market I've seen since arriving in Texas. Feels like you can purchase anything here: car parts, dresses, pets (snakes! Bunnies! Puppies!), produce, cell phone accessories, cowboy boots, one place had deer heads and a stuffed bobcat! Tons of stuff for kids and there was even an amusement park with rides and plenty of places selling food and drink. This place is very cool. All the vendors had masks on and masks were required but since people do eat here I saw folks without masks. This is a fun stop if you enjoy perusing flea markets/swap meets. You can find almost anything here (tires, clothes, security vests, you name it LOL) but I will say the booths get a bit repetitive with the same toys or items. I wish there were more small businesses as opposed to mass marketed items. There was one small business that did crochet items which I adored. Traders Village is HUGE, it would probably take hours and hours to walk through the entire thing if it was at full capacity. They also have a variety of carnival rides people can go on and a plethora of food booths. The food is okay, nothing to phone home about and at times a BIT OVERPRICED ($10+ for a cup of elote?? get outta here!). The market is huge, but my truck was broken into while I was there. After paying to park, I would think security would be better. As I waited for police, another family came in because their car was broken into and I overheard a discussion about an assault. It's a nice market, but it seems the parking lot is a big security issue. The workers were apologetic but I feel like this is a norm here. read more

You can find everything you need in this place. Prices are reasonable. You can buy fresh vegetables, fruits, plants & herbs, trees of all kinds, clothing, furniture, tools, auto accessories, tires, electronics, toys ,household stuff,pets,and animal cages. There are several food vendors throughout the location. Great for eating while shopping. Plus there are several snack vendors which is very nice also. We went on a Sunday morning and it had a small crowed. After 12pm it started to get packed. Be ready for a lot of walking. We stayed for 2 hours and only walked a quarter of the property. A lot of the bothes selling items are all the same products. Make sure you check and double check what you buy though. Some of the items have flaws even if they are marked as new. Not sure if the vedors buy items in bulk that may have known issues or not. Entry / parking fee of $4.00 per car. It also has rides for children and lot of eateries. Opens Saturday and Sunday only. This place is huge, i was hoping to see more small businesses with foods and maybe some handmade items. Unfortunately a lot of it was items bought in bulk off of ali express/temu/amazon and being resold for higher prices. In addition, there were animals being sold by breeders (puppies/birds/rabbits) in horrible conditions encouraging impulse pet purchases which can lead to neglect and local shelters filling up. Being from Southbay San Diego I've been to my fair share of flea markets/swap meets. Since my move to Texas a few years ago, I just haven't been to any that are quite like home...until now. Nostalgia was cured at Trader's Village. From produce, to clothing, cookware and home goods, to auto parts, and of course good eats and snacks and there's a lot to see. This place is huge! Parking is $4 a car without additional walk-in entrance fee. I did notice that there were a lot of vendors selling the same items, which made for less variety as a whole. Eh. I docked stars for that. Texas is hot, so be prepared to be walking in the sun, though there are some covered spots as well. If interested in selling, I think the deal is good. Currently $26 and $29 to sell under a covered area on a Saturday. Sunday is a little higher. read more

I have thought this review for months now. How to explain my experience at this place? Do I talk about my husband turning to me as I am shopping and saying "We can get that back in the states cheaper" Ahh, hon, we ARE in the states. Do I reference other reviews saying you can purchase everything needed for 1970s pornos? ( Totally true by the way.) Do I recommend their advertised mole removal services? Do I rant about the horrible animal cruelty of selling birds in 110 degree weather in cages with no water? ( I am still thinking about calling the local police about this.) Do I mention the dude who turns to me and yells "oh my god, its like the flea markets in Brazil!". How the Hell did he know I am the American expert on Brazilian flea markets? A good location for outdoor shopping. We found some good deals. I prefer when there is more used stuff for sale and less of the cheap knock off stuff. At one point I didn't feel safe while I was there. A couple of men where hanging around the atm and made me feel pretty uncomfortable. It would be nice if there was some security stationed by the atm machine. read more

It seems that everyone is selling the same thing you can find the same items in the store front two or three rows down... There is not much of uniqueness like it used to be back in the day. You can find so many neat things here or there... Or just walk around and eat carnival food and even take the kids to ride a few rides. It's always a blast! And you can take your own cooler with alcohol in it! There was live music, food and beverage stores on every corner. It was a culturally enriched and generally light and fun experience. As any frequent reviewer of my posts know, I like to periodically (annually) re-review my reviews as things can change. Sometimes businesses close, get bad, or sometimes, better. This is one of those posts. Yes, I know I've been bad about checking in, but I just had a son, so I've been a bit busy. Plus, since the Pandemic, we've been getting deliveries from here more than actually picking stuff up. If you live in the area or in the metroplex and have not gone here, you need to check it out. I still love this place, but parking is still crazy! I have been going to the Traders Village Flea Market since I was a child, and it's still largely the same. For $4 per car (parking fee), you get access to a giant thrift store/flea market/garage sale/tiny carnival/eclectic food court. If you've been to flea markets or farmers markets before, this is very much like those, but it's much larger than most. There's an entire infrastructure that isn't present at most other flea markets or farmers markets. For example, they have toilet facilities, not port-a-potties, physical structures (or stalls), where vendors can set-up shop (some are even fully enclosed), large covered areas, and of course, the more traditional just a table set up in open space. The entire area is also completely set aside for these types of activities and fully on concrete. But, when it rains, a lot of stalls shut down, but as many of the stalls are covered, the entire place does not shut down when it rains. You can buy just about anything here from fresh food, cooked food, tires, boots, to motorcycles, toys, laundry detergent, etc. But, no guns or ammo. They do sell other types of weapons though. And, they have rides too, so you can add carnival to the list above. The deals here are great, and you can find some truly unique items. But, you may have to haggle some. Just bring your phone to research items to make sure that you're getting the best deal. For example, I got a pair of boots for $150, and when I went to Boot Barn recently, they were selling the same pair for over $400. Plus, and may more importantly, you're supporting local jobs and your neighbors. No body here is a major corporation. The vendors here are your neighbors. So, the fact that you're saving a lot of money is a happy bonus. But, a major warning. This place is YUGE, so expect to spend the entire day here, and on a hot Texas day, it's going to feel like an endurance challenge. Put your sun screen on, bring an umbrella for some shade, and maybe even a rolling ice chest with drinks (yes, you can bring in outside food and drink). Do I recommend this place? Yes. Even if you live on the other end of town, it's worth the drive. read more

For only $4, you can have one heck of an eventful day here. They have everything and anything you need. Clothes, shoes, produce, toys, kitchen gadgets, car parts, auto stuff, furniture, home decor, puppies, birds, rabbits, posters, house decor, basically everything. Might not be to your liking or taste in design but it's worth a try to come out and walk around. Feel free to bargain with people because they just need to get rid of the items. Especially at the end of the day the produce vendors just need to make money. We left with 5 bags of grapes and 3 boxes of mangos for only $26.00. What a deal!!!! Yes, the place is predominately flooded with Hispanics but they know how to have a good time and there are tons of snack options to nibble on such as elotes, duros wheat snacks and turkey legs!! If I could give this place a negative 5 star rating I would. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, our family chose to spend an afternoon at Traders Village. Little did we know that it would be a sour family outing. At the ride ticket counter they provide you with a wristband to put on to ride their mediocre rides. Our toddler was having a fit during the application of the wristband and we walked off without putting it on but intended to put it on her ankle to at least show that she has a wristband. However, this was not good enough for the attendant at the ticket counter and the child throwing a tantrum wasn't enough of a stressor but the attendant with an attitude I might add stresses that we must put it on and the father said that he's trying and will do so. The attendant didn't like his response so she calls the maintenance guy. The maintenance guy got in the father's face with an attitude and very unprofessional which then triggered the fathers PTSD and told the maintenance guy to get out of his face. After that they are met at the carousel with his toddler in his arms of security in golf carts to escort him from the property as if he had done something criminal. OUTRAGEOUS. They stole their $15 and spoiled what was supposed to be a beautiful family outing. If these are the type of problematic people working here then I don't think it's worth coming here. read more

With about $100 and a hatchback, I went that way. Ultimately, I found some great deals. I even got an old Montgomery Ward bicycle that got me to and fro before I started my internship. I got a classroom sized whiteboard. I got a shelf, a table and some kitchenware. I usually go on Saturdays in the Spring or Autumn. It's largely outdoor and susceptible to weather.
