This firm showed me a pattern of behavior that no client should ever ignore: Basic mistakes on simple tasks like change‑of‑address forms- repeated, careless, and never corrected. Constant turnover of paralegals, forcing clients to repeat the same information because no one communicates internally. Misleading "Spanish‑speaking" advertising. Only the paralegals speak Spanish. The attorneys do not. More communication from billing than from the attorney. When the billing department contacts you more than your lawyer, the priorities are clear -- and they are not the client. The attorney introduced at the beginning was NOT the attorney assigned after payment. That switch alone is a major red flag. My assigned attorney does not appear anywhere on the firm's own team webpage. That lack of transparency is unacceptable. Online reviews show a pattern of detailed complaints that match my experience, yet the firm responds with generic "contact us for feedback" messages instead of addressing the issues. The money disappears fast, and the work does not reflect the cost. The value, communication, and results do not match what they charge. Something is off about how this place operates. The mismatch between their five‑star ratings and the consistent complaints about money and lack of results is impossible to ignore. I'm writing this so others don't have to go through what I did. The lack of consistency, transparency, and professionalism is alarming, and the firm's priorities are nowhere near where they should be.

Donald is a good lawyer but his billing process was a complete disaster filled with dishonesty!…read more I reached out to Mr Hudspeth's team to review a contract and financing agreement. They said they will provide a quote after reviewing which is standard. I sent them the agreements and after two days of review said that this will cost $2,500 and paid the $2,500 dollars. I agreed to this figure and they sent me over a client service agreement which I signed. Two weeks later their billing department reached out and said that in the fine print I was paying per hour ( which is something I was never communicated verbally and hid within the contract). They then went on to say that Me hudspeth actually went over by an hour and I owe them $350 more dollars. I communicated that this is unethical and that it is unjust to hide in the small print and then they proceeded to send me daily payment notifications for the next several weeks. Their response was that I should've been more careful when reading the client service agreement with their law firm and that I owe them the regardless. Overall this is an embarrassment for a law firm to go back on their word over $380 dollars and a massive disservice showing that they will hide items in the fine print to make more money. At some point you will need to hire another law firm to review Hudspeth Law firm agreements just to make sure that they are not over charging you!

After that I contacted Stone Law Group, the people at stone Law Group were very helpful, from the first contact. They took time to understand what my concerns were and to make sure appointments and follow-up took place in a timely manner. Mr. Stone listen to me and what I was going through before explaining what he could do for me and what my next step would be. He even gave me a timeline for the bankruptcy procedure. When I decided to pursue another course of debt resolution, he helped me find someone that could assist me, and he also refunded any money that I had prepaid him. Even though I decided not to use Stone Law Group, at this time, I highly recommend them to anyone considering Bankruptcy

To summarize the entire nightmare this place wanted me to sign a stipulated judgment on a lawsuit…read morefiled by one of those debt buyers (who never attempted to contact me to advise they purchased) that had been dismissed 5 days prior! That reflects the zero effort put into my representation. When I had my initial meeting with them they summarized the same exact terms of the stipulations this was even after I gave him my financial profile as I'm retired living on Social Security with no additional income with both my income and bank account exempt from garnishing or levies. I was looking for a payment plan or settlement that included dismissal of this suit. I understand the representation was limited in scope & the attorney stated more than once the $796 I paid him was nothing & other firms would cost double for this but not to the point where there was zero effort in an attempt to negotiate which by the way per the retainer does include negotiating. Regardless of the back story the end result was this firm who was supposed to be representing me and my interests to some extent was pushing me on July 7th to sign a Stipulated Judgment on a case that had been dismissed on July 2nd. That's an enormous mistake.
