In fact, the opposite is true, that I did not have to speak with police. Mike explained my rights. In my emotional state, I needed the clear details that he gave me about how to protect rights and invoke my right to remain silent if questioned by the police. Mike explained and simplified the details. With one phone call, he alleviated the fears I was experiencing. Mike is an honest attorney. He gave me a clear evaluation of the situation. If I need his services, which he told me I did not need at the time (an honest attorney!), I will call Mike Munoz. I trust him to protect my life. Thank you, Mike! You do not know how much your comments mean to me! The best attorney ever with lucid explanations!

By 4:20 I'd yet to hear anything so I called & was told he was running behind on his previous phone call & was understanding. 4:45 hit & I was not nearly as understanding bc my thoughts are "I'm gonna let someone have my back in court that won't have my back for a phone consultation??" I then called again & was told (by the person that answers the phone) that she texted him to remind him of the 4:30 appointment. 4:30?!?!? I was told 4. She then told me he's still on the phone & I expressed to her that I was very irritated because I waited around my phone for something that was scheduled. Hello! I schedule calls & appointments too, the difference is I show up to mine. I decided that I did not want to hire someone that is unorganized with their call system because who knows where all of my court docs will go - could be scattered in several folders. To end the story I was never called at all yesterday & when I called today he was in court & I was told that it's "busy season". I was then told today (the day after not having my appointment followed through with) that I was being rude with expressing how frustrated I was. I wasn't rude, I wasn't vulgar - I was honest. Munoz defended himself saying was a "nice guy" & per reviews I see that, but I was not treated well by him. No apology for missing my consultation & no apology when I cracked a joke saying "you're the most difficult guy to get in contact with" rather he had a condescending attitude stating "yeah, we're a really busy attorneys office". Seems rather prideful to me with no apology whatsoever. Set people up with expectations because we also have a life outside of yours.

This went on for years and from time to time she was unable to make the mortgage payment. To protect my credit on the joint loan, I stepped in and made the payments on her behalf. After years of trying to convince her to sell, I finally decided I would need legal assistance. I spoke with several law firms in the area but when I reached out to Johnny Sorenson of The Sorenson Law Firm, I knew that they would be the firm I needed to resolve my issue. Johnny and his colleague Matthew Nicely explained my options clearly and started with a polite but firm letter to the defendant. She refused to cooperate and delayed as much as she could for over a year. Johnny and Matt were finally able to convince the defendant to move out and we listed the property for sale. It sold over one weekend and after additional delays and negotiations, we were able to divide up the proceeds. Johnny was able to get me reimbursed for all the payments that I made on her behalf and got her to pay a portion of my legal fees. If you need a competent, trustworthy legal firm, I would highly recommend Johnny Sorenson!

When you do get the chance to speak to him the information is bland. If the settlement might have been bigger then the communc and urgency would have been better I'm not sure. I would not recommend this firm. now I see why the other lawyer that was handling our case in the beginning left the firm. oh ya n when she left weren't informed for weeks and had to call ourselves to get updates. Very very poor service!

Social security did not file reconsideration properly and my case set untouched for over 2 years Attorney just saying I had to wait till it was filed properly. The last attorney did nothing after my award letter stating they were charging me for back premiums and backpay would not be awarded until they determined if I was paid SSI. All proof was emailed to my attorney now I am sitting here with a $200 check for the whole month and nothing on backpay. No one with an attorney should have to go through this.

Roeschke Law Review - Poor Communication, Disorganized Prep, and Disregard for Client Needs…read more My experience with Roeschke Law Group during my disability case and hearing scheduled for 6/20/2024 was extremely disappointing and emotionally draining. From the beginning, the process was riddled with poor communication, disorganization, and a lack of genuine advocacy. Attorney Mitchell stated that she typically prepares for hearings 24 hours in advance. However, she did not call me until the afternoon of 6/19/2024, which was already less than 24 hours before the hearing. I missed the call because it was unscheduled and unannounced, and no alternative time was offered. I was later told that she had been in a meeting earlier and couldn't call sooner. That's not acceptable for something as serious as a disability hearing. Because of this, I only reviewed the actual hearing questions 30 minutes before the hearing itself. That last-minute prep caused tremendous stress and left no time to go over vital parts of my file or case strategy. In fact, during that rushed review, the attorney brought up key facts from my medical file--some of which had never been mentioned before. She even suggested we postpone the hearing on the spot due to how unprepared we were. This level of last-minute handling is simply unprofessional. I also want to emphasize how upsetting it was that no one reviewed my medical file thoroughly until the very last minute--sometimes just 30 minutes before the hearing. That meant critical factors weren't discussed or clarified with me in advance. Among those overlooked or mishandled issues were: My participation in a tech school bootcamp, which I had to explain to the judge myself--only to be told after the hearing by my attorney that it complicated the case unnecessarily and wasn't helpful to bring up. My Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) for a hypermobility-related disability, which I was told was inadmissible--something I only found out after the hearing. The SGA (Substantial Gainful Activity) guidelines as they applied to a part-time job I held earlier that year, which should have been proactively addressed. The fact that my SMI (Seriously Mentally Ill) title was not considered a helpful factor for this type of hearing, and I was never told this in advance. The discussion of medical marijuana use and past illegal substance use (over two years ago), which was raised as a factor against me only 30 minutes before the hearing--with no time to prepare an appropriate response or provide proper context. The lack of preparation and guidance on these issues left me completely blindsided and unsupported. My input wasn't guided or strategized the way it should've been by experienced legal counsel. Adding to the problem was the constantly changing staff. Every new person who picked up my case had no idea who I was or what the details were until they opened my file, which led to repetition, confusion, and a total loss of continuity. It felt like no one ever truly knew or understood my case in its full context. Even worse, I had asked multiple times to withdraw from the case earlier in the appeals process--a request that was either ignored or met with vague responses. Only after everything did I learn there was a way to do that formally through SSA. That information would have spared me months of heartache and stress. I have since written to SSA requesting that Roeschke Law be removed as my appointed representative. Despite that and the fact that my hearing was dismissed at my request, they are still listed on record as representing me. To top it off, the firm's response to negative feedback is to say clients are making "inaccurate claims." Let me be clear: I am not making claims--I am describing my lived experience, and invalidating that shows a lack of accountability and empathy. If Roeschke Law Group wants to be taken seriously as a disability advocacy firm, they need to take a hard look at how they treat clients: - Schedule prep calls in advance, not at the last minute. - Read client files early and thoroughly. - Discuss all relevant case factors well before the hearing--including those that may harm or help the case. - Give clients the option to withdraw early, and honor that request when made. - Ensure continuity and coordination when staff changes occur. People seeking disability support are already going through enough. The last thing they need is to feel abandoned, unheard, or blindsided by the very people who are supposed to help.

Well, nobody really wants to write a review for a lawyer, much less a DUI lawyer... right? Well,…read morehere we go. I got caught up in the stupid stop-everyone-taskforce on St. Patty's Day 2011. Naturally I was drinking at my local pub, but knowing that cops were swarming outside I took it easy and waited. This didn't stop the cops from pulling me over immediately after pulling out of the parking lot and making up some bullshit "probable cause" for stopping me. In my case, it was an "improper left turn." (Bogus because I used all the proper lanes, used my turn signal, and didn't disobey any posted signs). I'm normally on the other side of the law so I didn't know what to really do. All I knew was that I wasn't drunk (4 drinks from 4pm til 9pm, and pulled over at 11pm) and that it'd be pretty shitty to go to jail for a DUI of which I wasn't guilty of. So, I hired Craig Penrod. JUICY DETAILS: So my BAC came back 0.04 so Arizona tossed out the DUI and the DUI OVER 0.08 charges automatically. This left the improper left turn charge for Arizona to collect on since it had invested it's police time and its judicial time in trying to prosecute an innocent. The state ended up dropping that too. MY THOUGHTS: To be honest, I've wondered many times, why did I cough up $4k to Craig to have the state drop two of the charges automatically? Would it have been better to just wait to hear the results, then hire him? Maybe. I hear that this is not the way to go, but lawyers may have made up that suggestion. So in my situation, it seemed like I paid Craig to do little to nothing. A far as his office goes, this is what I didn't like. Upon getting the BAC of 0.04 they asked me not once, but four times if I had any other "substances" in my blood that night. The reasoning behind the question is that you can be under the influence, but not drunk (drugs). I told him and his office each time that I barely did OTC medicines, much less illegal drugs. So, no. But they asked four times. Aren't you guys writing this down? Another thing I hated was partially due to me and my schedule. I work a night shift so attending to meetings during the day aren't always the easiest. His office repeatedly wanted me to come in to discuss various matters. Maybe this is for the client so that it is face-to-face and more confidential than over the phone but it was super annoying to me. So my BAC was 0.04, so call me... that isn't bad news and I don't need to drive 20 minutes just to sit in a lobby for 5 mins, just to sit in a room for 1 minute to tell me that my BAC was low so the state is dropping those charges. Maybe to help this the firm would benefit from having a questionnaire where the defendant can say how they want to be contacted or something. I'm sure some people would really like the face-to-face, but I personally found it annoying. With that said, they were pretty flexible on their times and slots. So in the end, what $4k got me was this... I got to sit on my ass and go on vacation while Craig did all the paperwork, went to hearings, and talked them out of the improper left turn charge. However, at first Craig did suggest that I just take the class/fine for that charge, to which I kindly told him that I "didn't make an improper left turn" and he said he's see if they'd drop it. C'mon Craig, this is what I'm paying you for! Get all that **** gone! I'll leave it at this. If you know you were drunk and need someone that knows how to work the system, Craig is probably a good choice. However, if you think you aren't drunk then it may be better just to wait it out.

During our motion to suppress hearing, opposing counsel showed clear evidence of expertise, photo evidence we WERE blocking the crosswalk and a strong argument. Mr. Pernod seemed to not have thoroughly reviewed the evidence, was reading news and doodling during the hearing, and did not present a strong defense. There were times that he wasn't able to form strong sentences verbally and rested the case without much dialogue. After the hearing, Mr. Penrod gave false information about what would be permitted on a restricted license when driving out of state. We would not recommend this practice based on our experience.
