He walked me through the process, tested everything to make sure I wasn't in any discomfort, and honestly is the main reason I scheduled my next appointment in four weeks for another chemical peel. It was absolutely what I was hoping for, perfection. She did an amazing job chatting, being super supportive during the waxing experience. I honestly thought it would be more painful and scary haha! It was my first time. She's super patient and talks you through it, giving you a heads up when she was going to pull, inhale and exhale. The location isn't hard to find, it's in a small, safe shopping area, in the back corner. I highly recommend Abby for waxing. When I come back to visit Columbia, I'll be sure to see her again.

I have been here twice. Once for a lash tint with Alana. She was very nice and professional. The…read moreservice was very quick and the tint didn't last very long. Maybe 2-3 weeks. My second visit was with Kristen. I was there for a lash curl and tint. She did not introduce herself. Prior to the service, you are asked to sign a waiver explaining you understand the procedure, that they don't promise results and that the after care will be explained to you. She didn't speak to me at all during the service, not to make small talk or to update me on the process. Afterward, my lashes were curled and slightly tinted. No post instructions were given or explained. I went home and looked them up and followed to a T. No water or mascara on lashes for 24 hours. We are 4 days out, my left lashes are much more curled than my right, they are still slightly tinted, except the bottom lashes, they are pretty much back to normal. I would say this service was not worth the $75 plus tip.

Ani was very pleasant and professional. She was responsive and quite accommodating. Unfortunately,…read moreshe botched my brows. I had my brows microbladed in 2018 while living in NY. I've since relocated and was unable to travel back during the pandemic to have them done. Ani did my brows in November 2020. They were a beautiful brown immediately after my first session and darkened as I expected. They kept getting darker. I looked angry. I followed Ani's instructions to lighten them by doing the opposite of good aftercare and they began to lighten. They were no longer brown but were grayish-black instead. Ani offered to warm them up with a different tint that wouldn't darken them. The tint seemed to work but quickly faded to the same dark gray brows with a base that looks like color bled. It doesn't help that my hair is brown and my brows stand out as a poorly drawn in mismatch. My brows are a disaster and Ani stopped responding in July. I'm still diligently trying to fade them but these badboys won't budge. I started not to leave this review because Ani is super nice and super chill. Unfortunately, my brows are super botched and it seems fair to give others a warning. NOTE: Owner responded to my review privately and then publicly defended herself by attacking and lying rather than just admitting this one was a bad job. Photos are unretouched and tell the story. I was on tour with a theatre company when I visited Salon Nefisa. We had one free day in Columbia…read more Three of us made appointments. We had to take a cab into downtown, but our appointments were perfectly scheduled and executed that there was no unnecessary sitting around. One of the girls who came with me did a full color and cut. She was in the chair at 9am, the next girl at 9:45am while the color set, and I sat down at 10:05am. The young ladies at the salon were amazing. Each of us were delighted with the results. The prices were very reasonable for the wonderful service we received. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this salon!!

Don't trust this business with your information…read more I booked a haircut for my husband at Nefisa Downtown after getting a haircut there myself. After his haircut, they asked if he would be returning, and he said that he may return in a few months. They then asked if he wanted to return a month from that day. He said he might be back sometime around then. (Really he just didn't like his haircut, and he had a hard time communicating that. That part is NOT the salon's fault.) Here is where things went wrong with the salon: They booked him for the appointment, which he DID NOT ASK FOR. Received 0 texts confirming this "appointment" in advance, and they charged us $34 to my card for a no show appointment HE DID NOT ASK FOR. Receiving this charge, we were obviously confused. I emailed directly with the owner to settle this. First they "don't have any record of this charge". Then they "do have it on record, and say it was for his haircut he went in for" Not true. He paid for this haircut in person the same day he got it. Then it's "Well he had an appointment, and he didn't show up. We can't issue you a full refund." Dealt with this for WEEKS now. Don't go here. Jesus fucking Christ.
