The location itself is truly unique, and the carousel bar was the most amazing feature it really stood out. The venue was decorated with festive Christmas decor, including giant ornaments, which added to the atmosphere. The staff was super nice! We enjoyed a delicious drink, and the book event was super cute and well-decorated, set up to the right side of the building. Behind the book fair, I was surprised to see a horse race in progress watching the beautiful horses was a highlight I didn't expect. There were multiple food stations throughout Carousel Club, so it's a great place to get together with friends, try food from different vendors, and enjoy drinks in a lively, memorable setting.

The entrance is a zen-like pathway lined with a green canopy of palm trees. We walked into a very spacious outdoor area. There were comfortable padded lounge chairs spread throughout the space. To access these, a reservation or purchase of a hookah is needed. We headed straight to the bar to find out they do not have a traditional cocktail menu. We were told by the bartender, that she'd be able to make simple cocktails if needed. I do think that they are loosing a good opportunity to stand out with creative carousel themed cocktails. This is also a no cash bar. As we're sipping our simple gin and tonic's, looking around we noticed the games scattered around the area. There were a few table tennis and paddle games. I must comment on DJ who was spinning this night. He had such a wide range of music! From r&b, Latin, dancehall, pop, he had everyone on their feet dancing. Okay, so I went back - I am not going to talk about the wait because it was worth every minute - I know why people are in line and surrounding the window - this is clear cut: Fabulous meat : jerk checken, jerk RIBS! I could smell the smokiness as it floated through the air, all the spices kicking in - I am salivating... I was hungry, had not had breakfast, now its after 12... Jerk ribs? I never heard of such; that's why I was willing to back! I picked up lunch for me and printer. Let's talk about the rules: NO SIDES! they do not sell sides unless you are placing a catering order. Pre-Order? NO, not unless you are ordering 5 plates and more.... I had the opportunity to meet Chef Tally and his daughter, Tallia (obvious namesake). I almost walked off without sauce. I just cannot tell you how good the meat was - the ribs were so succulent, flavor packed - JERK RIBS. I never thought of it; I have been eating BarBQ forever, this was a twist that I am in love with. Chef has a cool operation, I was wondering how he could serve all those people - he has a killer (as in giant) smoker that gets the job done. My next event, I will let you know how the sides work because I will call Chef Tally's World Famous Jerk for catering! In the meantime, I stopped at Publix for a small side of Southern Potato Salad and I was a very happy camper.

I have tried their pork belly Bao, Octopus Bao and the Spicy Mango Shrimp Bao. Oh my goodness. They're all so fresh and flavorful. They had me at shrimp, though! I really enjoyed the level of spice on that one and the shrimp were a nice size--no mini or small shrimp used. Thank you for that! :) It's a treat to watch the buns rolled out and steamed on the spot. And I appreciate that Between the Buns is the only place of its kind in all of the big YG Farmers Market. There's something to be said for that. Also the service is friendly and very accommodating. I have really enjoyed Between the Buns and will go back again! :)
