I've been coming to this bookstore for years…read more I love the ambiance and the selection of books has always been unusual and quite broad even though it's not a huge store. It seems like their selection of gift items has expanded over the years. It also seems very thoughtful, classy and includes many unique and fun things. Puzzles, art supplies, coloring books, journals, t-shirts, and jewelry were on display along with the books. They also carry cool postcards that are a step above the regular ones available everywhere else. I've scored some great deals here as well. They offer remainders and the last two times I've been here I've scored cool history works at great prices. Service is quiet and calm, but warm too. In other words, they let you browse as much as you want, but also seem accessible for help and/or questions. I love coming here when I'm in the area!

We not only got the part, but Adam helped us install it. He also noticed that a couple of parts on the RC car were installed incorrectly by us. He took the time re-install the parts correctly. Adam went above and beyond by providing us with great customer service! So instead of my son having to wait to use his RC car when we got home, my son can now use his car while we are visiting Eugene! The prices are great and the service is outstanding!!

Well, bullshit! I get home all excited to drive my new r/c truck around and what do I find after I open the box...no battery pack or charger. Clearly NOT READY TO RUN! Do the words "false advertising" mean anything? A customer out and out LIED to me (not the toy store's false) and your employees never said a single word that I would need to buy the missing items. I won't ever be a customer of Eugene Toy and Hobby again....mainly because this is the third time I have been misled and having to make a second trip to the store to return something. The store has a new great location and you will really feel welcome whenever you stop by. The owner is very personable and enjoys having discussion when the store is having a down-time or lull. For being a store targeting the nerd culture, the store is also kid-friendly and a treat for youngsters as long as they are halfway respectful. The prices are very reasonable/fair on most items and you won't feel your wallet hurting too bad (as may be the case at other retailers and events of this scene) and the inventory is consistently fresh. They also buy and do credit for items you bring in too! Highly recommend if you are in the Eugene, Oregon area and need to get your geek on! Definitely a delight for the nerd and collectible community of Oregon.

My husband was looking for a small local toy store to go buy a birthday gift for our baby nephew. So this is the store we picked. We'd planned to go to Target as a backup plan. I'd also fully expected we would go in here and find something and have to buy it on Amazon because it would be significantly cheaper. But that wasn't the case, and that made me so happy. Their prices are absolutely reasonable, even for things that are normally insane and overpriced. I was really impressed. The staff that are working clearly love their job and are incredibly helpful. They greeted us when we walked in, let us explore, and answered all of our questions, taking us to certain aisles and showed us things. We were definitely welcomed in the store. We ended up buying two toys for our nephew's first birthday, and I'm definitely coming back when Christmas comes closer. This is such an amazing small local business to support and everyone should take the time to stop by.

They have a good range of stuff, from baby toys on up to stuff for older kids. Coloring books, blocks, toy cars, fidget-spinners, little guitars, and everything in between.
