Make your own breakfast sandwich. We devoured it pretty quickly otherwise I would have gotten a better picture.

This is review for the cafe/coffeehouse portion as we have yet to go inside to checkout the bookstore. We used the handy drive thru. Service was fast and friendly, prices were very reasonable and we were pleased to see all the employees and customers inside wearing masks and doing what they could to keep everyone safe. Our breakfast sandwich was tasty (great ingredients and garlic aioli ftw) and a good size for sharing for those with smaller appetites. Can't wait to go again and check out the inside as well.

Excellent selection and wonderful customer service. So glad I found this gem of a store. Both new and used books and they take books in on credit.

Taken a break from our bike tour to read and trade in a book!

My partner and I stopped by the other day while visiting town. We were after some coffee a snack to…read moretide us over through the lunch hour. On the upside, I liked the building a lot. It is located in an older building right on the main highway just as it gets into town. It has a lot of promise. Service was friendly, and the coffee quality was good (I had an oat milk latte extra-hot, which was prepared well). I'm taking a few stars off for two reasons, though. The first is the food quality. I had an order of Avocado Toast, which was uninspiring. It was just a single piece of bread, with some avocado spread (I doubt it was from a fresh avocado) sort of slapped on. I didn't taste much in the way of salt, pepper, or other seasonings. If they aren't going to stock whole avocados, I'd suggest they take the avocado toast off the menu. The second reason for taking a few stars off, though, is the the atmosphere. There are religious materials for sale (meh), and I suspect that helped attract a crowd of people that, frankly, I'd rather not be around. The tables on both sides of us were talking about the glory of Elon Musk, forcibly deporting people, etc. Obviously a coffee shop isn't responsible for the obnoxious beliefs and conversations of their patrons, though I suspect that they attract that crowd through the religious materials they sell.

Unfortunately the coffee itself isn't up to par. If you add flavors no problem. If you like your coffee black you may detect a sour off putting taste. Just go with the mocha. Overall I do recommend Kaffe 101.

The next door bakery had closed earlier, so I decided to check out this indie bookstore and gallery instead. Ended up finding a lone copy on the shelf, Oregon Coast by Barbara Tricarico. Perfect souvenir keepsake. Nice collection of titles and gift items, pleasant counter person.

I've been coming to this bookstore for years…read more I love the ambiance and the selection of books has always been unusual and quite broad even though it's not a huge store. It seems like their selection of gift items has expanded over the years. It also seems very thoughtful, classy and includes many unique and fun things. Puzzles, art supplies, coloring books, journals, t-shirts, and jewelry were on display along with the books. They also carry cool postcards that are a step above the regular ones available everywhere else. I've scored some great deals here as well. They offer remainders and the last two times I've been here I've scored cool history works at great prices. Service is quiet and calm, but warm too. In other words, they let you browse as much as you want, but also seem accessible for help and/or questions. I love coming here when I'm in the area!
