Jellycat collection

Ended up there twice in one day!! The lady working there was super sweet and we talked about Jellycat stuffed animals for 20 minutes the first time I was there. The second time I went there it was to get another stuffed animal and she helped me pick out the perfect one. This is by far a 5 out of 5 star place.

So many toys!

Sorta like a kid in a candy store, except more like a kid in a toy store. Which exactly what I was, really. A really big kid in a really cool toy store. What do you want? Models? Stuffed animals? Science projects? Yep, yep, yep. Stickers? Coloring books? Board games? Again, yep yep yep. Add the fact that it's located in the super cute 5th St. Public Market and you've got a recipe for a happy kid, either grown or child. I managed to come away without any toy or trick, but that had more to do with my limited luggage and less to do with the myriad of amazing things I saw here. Spend some time. Bring your kids, with caution, as they'll fall in love with all the "gotta' have its!" they find.

So many awesome games

High priced non-bendable policy about only returning items for store credit. Does a great disservice to the notion of "buying local".

They had a shelf at least 7 feet tall and 3 feet wide that was just books about watercolor painting! And a huge room full of cookbooks! Books for youth are their own huge room. Most of the books are used but new books are discounted. Service was friendly. I will definitely be back.

Nestled in the heart of Eugene, the bookstore offers plenty of cozy nooks and crannies to dig through their vast inventory. As you traverse the creaking stairs and aisles of the bookstore, you'll encounter rows and rows of bookshelves lined with books from floor to ceiling, exuding a sense of nostalgia and charm. The layout is well-organized and labeled, making it easy to navigate through the different sections and genres. From bestsellers to classics, fiction to nonfiction, and everything in between, it's made abundantly clear the store caters to diverse reading interests. Whether you are in search of a contemporary novel, an academic tome, or a rare collectible edition, chances are you'll find it within the store's extensive collection. What impressed me most about Smith Family Bookstore is their competitive pricing for quality used books. The savings on art and reference books alone is well worth my two hour drive from Portland. It's common to find pristine coffee table art books for a fraction of the cost you'd pay elsewhere. I do love a bargain! Smith Family Bookstore offers plenty of cozy reading nooks and comfortable seating areas. These spaces allow visitors to dive into a new book or simply enjoy a peaceful moment surrounded by the comforting presence of rows and rows of books. I'm totally in love with the vibe here.
