We have many…read morestylists in Atlanta, but my experience has been that other stylists usually just specialize in one area, whereas Posh is a jack of all trades and can do it all. She takes time to study you, your style, and your hair needs. With just a look or touch, she's able to immediately know what your hair requires. After wearing crochet braids and not seeing Posh for several years, I was able to reach out and send a picture of the look I wanted. Using the picture I sent and what she remembered about my hair texture, Posh was able to make recommendations to me over the phone around texture matching and was already pre-planning for my appointment. From just a picture Posh was able to color my links and my hair at different times and it looked like it was done at the same time. It blended so well that people to this day don't know some of it isn't my hair. Her attention to detail and knowledge around hair is impeccable...she also has growing hands! I don't think it's fair for anyone to spend their time and hard-earned money on poor service, so I'm sharing my experience. I came in for a flat twist with two-strand twists, a simple style I've had done at Texture before and loved. Unfortunately, this time was very different. My two-strand twists were not completed properly. Many were left unfinished at the ends, and some were already unraveling by the time I got to my car. I also noticed shed hair trapped within several twists, and I was literally pulling loose clumps of hair from my twists as soon as I got to my car. This made sense because after the stylist finished, they put me under the dryer for just a few minutes, then quickly ushered me to the front desk to pay before going back to another client. I wasn't given the chance to properly check my hair in the mirror before leaving. The stylist also didn't clean up the shed hair sticking out of my twists, which made me feel like they didn't really care about the quality of the work. I've had bad salon experiences since I was young, and Texture was the one place I felt I could truly trust. I've been coming here since 2022 because of that trust. After today, however, I feel taken advantage of, and unfortunately, that trust is broken. I don't think I will be returning.

The experience was acceptable, though hardly exceptional. I was surprised, however, to encounter a salon that does not even wash a client's hair before a haircut. Perhaps that is how appointments are completed in roughly fifteen minutes. The larger issue arose when my significant other received an unexpected call from her foot surgeon informing her of a last-minute surgical cancellation. While on her way to the procedure, she responsibly called the salon to cancel her appointment for that day. The receptionist responded rudely and informed her that she would nevertheless be charged a cancellation fee. Moments later, I received an alert from Citibank notifying me of a charge from Steve Hightower Salon. At no point had I authorized the salon to retain my credit card information on file. Naturally, I disputed the charge immediately. Later that same day, I spoke directly with Steve Hightower. The conversation was unpleasant, and his demeanor was unnecessarily abrasive. Nonetheless, based upon his explanation, I decided that I did not want the stylist to unfairly lose compensation, so I reversed the dispute. Several months later, I called to schedule another appointment, only to be informed by the same discourteous receptionist that both my significant other and I were no longer welcome at the salon "per Steve Hightower." Curiously, when I had spoken with him regarding the unauthorized charge to my credit card, he neglected to mention that we had supposedly been banned from the establishment. Professionalism, courtesy, and integrity matter in any business, particularly one built upon personal service and client relationships. Unfortunately, my experience here reflected very little of any of the three.

I resorted to just pointing at photos, which, at previous salons, still didn't help and I would be in tears. I am SO glad I've found Just b hair. I've seen Cam 4 times now and I will do everything in my power to be his client forever! He is amazing with color, highlights, glossing, you name it. While I prefer to do more subtle color changes, he has handled each request with 100% perfect results. I now look forward to each of my visits because I fully trust that Cam understands and delivers.
