First of all, this was a special and personal trip. First salon visit and surprise for my new teenager. I can see why they have such loyal customers. So I was lost w a capital lost. Jeremiah, stayed on the phone w me and outside until I found them. . Huge checkpoint for service. Parking garage shared with other retailers. Marlow's tavern and other eateries. Vibe ride is in that building too. Nice!!! Two entrances, both equally nice. Inside wonderfully decorated and spacious. Then I met the golden hand beautician Treana and the lovely Bianca who prepped and relaxed my young'in. Never mind the doting mom. Not a chatty and bickering establishment. I come all the way from Florida to get my hair slayed by KiaChanelle. She has been my hair stylist for almost 2 years now. Gocha Salon is very chic and classy and the decor is nice as well. The atmosphere at Gocha's salon is relaxing. I love how Kia makes my hair talk every time and my natural hair has grown a lot. I still have all of my edges!! Are your edges in good hands?? This business deserves NO STARS! On December 28, 2018, was the first time ever going to this salon. I booked a Silk Press with Treanna. Sadly, this was the absolutely worst and horrible idea and situation I have EVER been in. The wait time was ridiculous, (my appt was at 5:30pm, I didn't leave the shop until 11pm); However, I assumed she knew what she was doing. She claimed to be an expert in natural and healthy hair. LIES! 2 weeks after my silk press, I went to wash my hair and my hair texture/thickness/curls did not come back. My hair looks like it has been permed and damaged severely. My hair is falling out in clumps!!!!!!. I reached out to her to inquire about what products she used in my hair and she said only several heat protectants. I explained what was going on with my hair and you can tell she didn't give a crap about it. She only said that this situation has never happened before. Note: A real stylist would've told me to come to the shop so she can look at my hair. She did not CARE which proves she knew she permanently damaged my hair. I've had my hair straighten before and my hair always goes back to its original state once I put water on it. Today is Feb. 7th, and my hair is still falling out and my thickness/curls is still NOT back. Every time I run my fingers through my hair, hair comes out. Now, my hair is basically done and I have to either cut it all the way off and/or wear wigs until my hair can grow back. I reported this business to the BBB. I wish there was a way to take her license away or to sue her. Karma will come back to her for this. This is a warning to everyone, DONT GO TO THIS SHOP IF YOU VALUE YOUR HAIR. This is a great salon. After only living here 3 weeks, I found this gem. The salon is beautiful and the hair technicians are professional, friendly and very experienced. My hair was cared for by Ivy. She was extremely caring about the condition of my hair, and took the time to discuss different options with me. She also gave me a plan of care. Judging from the other hair technician conversations, this is something the owner cares about. Additionally, while there, I observed the owner shampooing and caring for hair as well. When I walked into this salon, I was immediately impressed with it's style. It is clean, sleek, and massive! I went in for a silk press and a trim with Jahina. I've been seeing her for years and she is definitely the best stylist that I have found in Atlanta. My appointment started on time. The stylists were professional (no side chatter, no eating while working with clients). My hair looked great! When it comes to hair, you definitely get what you pay for. Paula gave me the worst haircut I've ever had and I tipped her because I didn't look at the back of my hair. I expected more but I should've known better. I won't be returning. Update: I just emailed her and she told me my hair was broken off and damaged. That was not so. My hair was in perfect shape for a cut and relaxer, so much so that she used 2 small containers of relaxer on my hair. I didn't want a refund nor a service I was just pointing out the inconsistency of the cut, $180 down the drain. What a waste of time and energy. read more

I was looking forward to my appointment. My family member and I traveled from Texas to Atlanta and had an 11 am and 1145 appointment, both with Gocha. However, Gocha did not arrive until 1215. A stylist name Aisha began washing our hair at noon when we announced we were leaving. When Gocha arrived, she didnt apologize for her lateness. She proceeded to blow dry, cut and curl my shoulder length natural hair. The layered cut was good, but the styling left me looking matronly. Gocha then charged $145 for her services. I understand she is a stylist to the stars, but her customer service skills are truly lacking. read more

I came in for a cut because my hair was really damaged. First pro, no wait time. I have been to countless salons where I made an appointment and still had to wait due to overbooking or whatever reason. I was taken care of as soon as I came in. My days of spending an entire day at a salon are done. My stylist did a great job on my cut and gave me great advice and a game plan to get my hair healthy again. read more

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I found this place close to my house a week before setting my appointment. I was suppose to get my dreads cut off and have it styled into an afro. My appointment was at 12pm with the owner of the shop. The receptionist told me I need to be there at 9:00am due to the owners work schedule. I get there at 9:00am and the owner isn't there yet. Mind you I have a women who is suppose to be getting her hair done by the same women before me. I wait for thirty minutes and one of the employees explain to me she's in traffic. A hour passes by and they tell me she isn't coming in at all today and I can find someone else in the shop to do my hair, meaning they lied to me about her being in traffic earlier. Mind you I am a 56 year old women who's cripple with cancer and have a hard time getting out of bed. So now not only am I irritated I am also in-convinced not just by an employee but by the shop owner her self. I will NEVER BE BACK AGAIN!!! read more

Come here! The staff makes all the difference. So welcoming, no snootiness no acting like they are better than you. My hair was in pretty bad shape and my stylist Olivia spent time talking to me about better hair care regimens and was super patient and accommodating. Naturalista's please beware of Tre at this salon. I booked her for a root color touch up. She started on my hair about an hour after my appointment time. This wasn't a huge issue. However the issues started when it was time for the blow out. I have fine textured curly hair. My hair cannot withstand tons of heat and I explained this to her assistant as I sat in the chair. The assistant heeded my warning and blow dried my hair lightly until Tre came over. After hearing me ask the assistant for a light blow dry; she told the assistant to blow dry it on higher heat, essentially making my fine hair flat. When it was time for Tre to flat iron, I reiterated that my texture of hair does not need lots of heat to straighten. She pretty much ignored me the whole time and did what she wanted to do; also flat ironing my hair on high heat. Needless to say my hair was flat to my head and looked lifeless. Also I experienced extensive heat damage. I am still cutting off heat damaged pieces almost a month later. Hair care is not one size fits all. If you care about your curls or have fine hair, this is probably not the stylist for you. read more

The wait time is ridiculous and disrespectful! You will get skipped in line so pay attention to who arrived after you. The wash girl just rips the comb through your hair(not ends to root) during conditioning and asks if your tender headed. I'm not tender headed, I just don't want my hair ripped! She told me to sit under the dryer(which was completely open seating since no one was siting there), I sat down waiting for her to come over and turn on the dryer, she then came over and said sit at another dryer so I did(mind you I'm the only one under the dry), she then had the girl after me sit exactly where I just sat under the dryer and processed her hair before me. Petty as fuck! I don't know how I could have offended this girl since I am a fairly quiet person. Once I got to Tre's chair. She constant stopped to text through the flat iron process, making my totally experience last 4 hours. The client service sucks! The only salon I go to!!!!!!!! Every stylist slays hair! Braiding, locs, sew ins, natural press, or even a line up, they can really do it all!! They also sell hair, have a nail tech on staff, massage therapist on staff and you can also get your lashes and eyebrows done! I have gone to Gocha since 2010 and I wouldn't go to anyone else!!! Gocha Salon is a beautiful, nice, and comfortable place to be. The staff is warm and welcoming and is waiting to offer you a bottle of water or a mimosa! I've been a client of Gocha's back when her salon was on Glen Iris and the service was great (hence me still being a client). With her grand move into the midtown area the salon is bigger and all of her stylist are awesome. I love how I'm able to get in and out and I've noticed walk-ins are taken immediately and serviced. I absolutely love the new location, bigger spaced salon and convenient parking! I wish I could give it 0 stars. I drove 4 hours to have my hair botched by Paula's assistant after she (Paula) assured me should that she would be the one to do my hair. She (her assistant) did not mix the activator with the relaxer cream and my hair did not get straight even though Paula tried to fix it. Her assistant again messed up the process of my hair by neutralizing and shampooing my hair after it had been deep conditioned. It was not reconditioned. I am very disappointed in the outcome of my hair as it is very frizzy, still not straight in most areas, and will not lay down even with foaming lotion/wrap. I asked for a refund from Paula but was told I would not receive one. She could have offered to give me free touch up or something...I thought it very selfish that I was offered nothing for something that wasn't my fault. I paid $145 for her to half perm my hair. She told me that my hair was in a mess when I came in and she could not undo years of damage. My hair was in it's natural state, a very short TWA, and I expected it be straight because that's what relaxers do-they straighten hair. These uppity so-called high end salons charge all this money and won't admit to any mistakes. If all doesn't go well, its not their fault. Disappointed with this Salon and its management. read more

Still fairly new to Atlanta, this was my first visit to Gocha salon. Although I was only there to get my lashes done, everyone was so welcoming and hospitable. The salon is very upscale and in a convenient location. Deja Diamond did my lash extensions and I am very pleased! She was so patient even though I barely had any lashes, she worked with me to give me the best look and took her time doing it. I had a horrible experience with gocha. My hair turned out okay (not awful, not amazing either) but her attitude ruined the whole experience for me. Not only did she CHOP a lot of my hair off for no reason (wasn't damaged) she seemed annoyed that I wasn't pleased with my hair as if she was above making mistakes. Plus the little snarky comments she kept making throughout the session turned me off immensely. Atlanta is full of stylists like gocha. Over inflated ego, average skills, and think they're too good to provide good customer service because they style c list celebs hair from time to time. There's sooooo many stylists in Atlanta go somewhere where they respect you and your money. read more

This is my second visit here and I absolutely love Gosha Salon. It is well-run with friendly, professional staff. They use Paul Mitchell products and are masters of their craft.
