It took me a whole while of yelping to find this gem, almost every other salons in the metropolitan has horror stories! Finally, I was like 4 stars!? Let's make an appointment! It was so easy to make an appointment through their website. It was just a haircut at first with Eden because my split ends was soooo bad, but coming in to this very busy, huge and vibey salon, I felt so embarrassed letting my hair down! Everyone on their seats are getting their hair colored (and I've bleached my own hair due to Covid) and I was inspired! Eden recommended Celeste after telling her I wanted to go platinum with a hint of lavender and she got me booked for consultation the same day! Celeste saw the 18 horrible tones I did to my hair and just her personality alone convinced me she's going to do a great job with my hair... although it may take several sessions! The technical skill is there, but the interpersonal skill is not. A lot of psycho mean girl shit. Very immature staff and stylists overall. If you want a chill experience with efficient use of time this place is not it. I saw 4 different stylists in the two years I went there (there seems to be a lot of turnover). Most seem to have a lot of mental and emotional health problems they take out on or project onto their clients and it makes the appointments take longer and the convos very awkward. I always felt drained after a session and couldn't wait to leave. Management needs to train them on basic client relations - Don't talk shit about the clients fiancé to their face. Don't stalk an ex client around the salon. Don't keep smacking their forehead as a joke when they're obviously not comfortable. Don't let your hot mess assistant do whatever they want. Don't talk about all your childhood traumas after knowing them for 20 minutes - This feels basic. They kind of act like they're all doing you a favor - for what I am paying you I promise the favor was all mine. read more

my wife made an appointment 2 weeks out prior to may 23rd in order to get her mom's hair done. they spoke prior via phone, were told everything she wanted done they would be able to be done and scheduled for this day. they waited two weeks! only to be told that it was a consultation and they couldn't do the treatment they previously said they could. on their website it says they even offer the keratin treatment. anyways, if you're brown, black, or yellow. these people do not want to serve you do not come here. do not spend any money here. blatant disrespect of one's time. who in their right mind would schedule 2 weeks out for hair service only for a consultation? nobody! they simply refused service because my wife and my mother in law are mexican. then they even referred her elsewhere! what business who isnt blatantly telling you they dont want to serve you and dont like your kind would say that? sad and shameful. i will never ever support this business ever. did not even try to schedule a follow up. please just be aware all! do not support these racist white people. especially being in marietta square? sad! read more

Salon Posta has been my salon for years. I had been seeing Stephen even before this salon opened and it was fabulous but sadly since his passing the business has suffered. They lack professionalism and don't really seem interested in repeat clientele. It's not uncommon to always hop out of the car to see staff sitting on the stairs vaping or smoking while staring at the phone. I miss walking into the salon feeling like someone was excited to see me instead of feeling like the moment you leave you will be talked about. The Salon is absolutely inviting as it showcases its high ceilings, spacious and lux style interior decor. Super organized and efficient. The online booking is a hit or miss. My all-time favorite salon. The building is beautiful, modern and bright. The vibe is lively and there's always good music playing. Staff are all friendly and not at all pretentious. The waiting room is comfortable and the dressing room has smocks and a place to hang coats and jackets. They do have parking behind the building and even when busy I've always been able to find a spot (tho they are a little tight so don't bring a monster truck!) the stylists all receive regular training in the latest trends and techniques and the assistants and apprentices receive ample training and experience before being given a position on the floor. My stylist, Ashley, is the best. I regularly receive compliments from complete strangers on my hair and always direct inquiries to the salon. They accept credit cards for payment however tips must be made in cash or via Venmo directly to the stylist. I waited a few weeks to write this to allow myself to calm down after what is now my worst salon experience to date. Having just moved to Georgia a month ago, I did some research online and saw the great reviews for Salon Posta. I made an appointment with Emily who was a level 1 stylist. At a great salon any level stylist should be good as they all work under the reputation and standards under the salon, so having a level 1 didn't scare me. I've had them in the past and they've all been great. I came in with hair that fell just underneath my breast area, quite long. After an unfortunate health situation when I was 30, I lost a good portion of my length and thickness. It took me 7 years to get it back to where it was today, I honestly loved my hair and was so thrilled to have the length and thickness back. I came to salon Posta to a normal trim, and said I was comfortable with up to 3 inches taken off. She showed me how much that would be on my actual hair and I agreed to what was shown. I was absolutely mortified with the result. She cut no less than 5 inches. I felt like my right arm was missing. But even worse, it was the most odd cut. It was so blunt and mis-shaped, it had no body or flow and looked like lord Farquaad to be honest. I naturally had beautiful layers that all fell together, I just asked that everything be trimmed up, and she literally took the scissors across and just lobbed off 5 inches. It took everything in my power not to cry in her chair. Once I got home it got worse. One side of the head was noticeably shorter than the other, and when I put my hair into a ponytail there were chunks sticking out that were soooo much longer than the rest and had been cut at a different angle. It looked like a 5-year-old took scissors to my head while I was asleep. I called the salon and talked to a manager about getting it fixed so the length could at least be the same. I came back a few days later and had a different stylist assigned, Eden. She noticed the uneven lengths throughout, which made me feel better. And then she asked if I was attempting a lob cut, yes that's a long bob, because she said that's how it looked like it was cut. I started crying in her chair. She tried to thin out the bottom so that it would fall better and didn't look so odd, but essentially ended up taking off another inch or a little more. I also had an all over color done by Emily, which wasn't great to be honest, but that's the least of my worries. I'm down about 6-7 inches on my length, and what took me almost 7 years to grow is gone. I understand its hair and it'll grow back, but every girl can attest to how emotional a bad haircut can be. The cut is still uneven after the 2nd attempt, and all I can do now is try to let it grow out that way so I can get another trim in a few months to even it out. I'm now pouring money into hair growth vitamins, shampoos, and even looking into getting extensions. It's definitely the most expensive cut I've ever received. I would have appreciated the manager refunding me the money for the cut, but they did no such thing, and didn't even follow up with me after my 2nd trip there to see how everything turned out. Overall, a terrible experience with an unfortunate result that I'll have to live with for a long time. Please look elsewhere for your hair needs. read more

I called to book an appointment for some box braids, as I saw they had African American hair listed as a specialty. The receptionists were very nice, and directed me to email one of the stylists. I sent the email on Saturday and didn't get a response but I assumed because of the weekend maybe I could give it another day. They are also closed on Mondays, so I wanted to give her until Wednesday to be fair. I didn't get a response so I called the salon again to see if I could get in touch with her, and the receptionist was still polite but told me that she's usually booked out weeks in advance and that I should call earlier if I want to get someone. She also gave me her Instagram to contact her there. It seems like a very nice place, but I think the initial receptionists should've let me know that it would be unlikely to book with her based on her schedule, and it would've been nice for the stylist to respond and let me know that she's fully booked. I ended up finding another place because the event is tomorrow. read more

The services and quality of work are worth the $$. However, I started bringing in my elderly mother (who uses a walker) and even though the front is technically handicap accessible,they offer no handicap parking. We were repeatedly told to park in the handicap spot for the brewery next door and if that spot is taken the only option is to park behind the building and walk up a huge hill. My mother struggled getting up the hill, I doubt someone in a wheelchair could manage. I mentioned each time we went how cumbersome the accommodations are and never received a response or possible solution. The last straw was when my mom's hair appointment was scheduled with a stylist on the second floor. That is only accessible via steep stairs. It would've taken 30 seconds for them to make a note in my mom's profile that she needs special accommodations, but they never bothered. So we've found other salons. read more

This salon was a very bad experience.. my hair was left very choppy and uneven I asked for face framing layers and these looked nothing like how layers are supposed to look as well she chopped off a big chunk of my hair which left a hole you can't tell because I gathered all my hair together but when I spilt it .. my hair is missing very disappointing how this salon ruined my hair all the way.OH! And when I went to get it fixed by someone else they even thought I had COVID! Because of that missing chunk they thought I suffered from hair loss. I recently went to Salon Posta and my experience was OK. I am giving a 2 star rating solely for the environment and salon itself. The salon is very beautiful, clean, and spacious. The salon was playing very popular music which was nice because it was music that I normally listen to! The parking situation was good. It was nice that there was a parking lot behind the salon where you could park so you did not have to worry about paying for parking. However, the parking lot was very tight. Pricing was average. My haircut started at $45. In my opinion, I don't think I should have paid even that much for my particular cut. They do use expensive products so that factors in as well. Let's talk about everything that went wrong. I was in need of a haircut as I hadn't gotten a true haircut since the beginning of the pandemic. I won't say my stylist's name but she was a level 1 stylist. Nothing wrong with that, how bad could a haircut be.... HA! My haircut was bad but the worst part about my experience was the condescending tone my stylist had throughout my haircut. She seemed like she was a new stylist and wanted to shove everything she learned at beauty school down my throat. She asked what I was looking to do with my hair and I told her that I wanted to cut the dead ends off to make it healthy but wanted to keep it as long as possible. I was totally fine cutting my hair short as long as my ends were healthy and my cut was good. She immediately started asking all these questions about my hair in a completely condescending tone. She asked 2 or 3 questions at a time before I could even tell her an answer. She asked if I put heat on my hair and I said yes. She quickly said "Yeah I can tell just by looking at it." At the beginning, I made it clear that I knew I needed to get a good cut but as a professional you shouldn't rub it in your client's face that their end has some dead ends. After that comment, she asked 3 questions before I could even get in a word. She basically asked, blow-dry or just flat iron? Do you use a heat protectant? and when you put heat on it, do you do it to soothe or curl? She made me feel bad about putting heat on my hair which made me choose to not have her blow dry or style my hair. She also had the nerve to ask if I heard of dry shampoo as if I lived under a rock before christ was born. Ultimately, she made me feel extremely bad about myself and honestly I couldn't wait to leave the salon. She walked away to get some products and came back to say "You're so quiet!" Well maybe, if someone was telling you everything that was wrong with your hair and hair care, you would be quiet too. She put in two curling products which weighed down my hair tremendously. I never put curling products in because I love to FrY mY HaIr. Then, she told me that she was going to diffuse my hair about 50%. I never have diffused my hair before, never will. Then, she told me to flip my head over and continued to diffuse. At this point, I was just humoring her because I knew I was going to put it up immediately after I left. Maybe I just wasn't use to my hair being that curly but my hair looked so bad compared to everyone else's in the salon. I am extremely disappointed with my stylist because I was excited to go to Salon Posta because of how cute the Marietta square is and the salon itself. I would have let this go if my hair cut was good. My stylist asked if I wanted my hair framed around my face and I said yes because I always get the front pieces angled. They are not angled whatsoever. They are cut straight and it looks like a 7th grader got happy with her mom's scissors and cut the pieces around her face. Ultimately, when you go into a salon and go for a haircut, you want to look and feel better than before you went in. With my experience, I did not. I my hair was bad and I felt worse. read more

I drove all the way from North Florida to visit this salon and it did not disappoint. This salon was Friendly, welcoming and the beautiful interior of the old church it sits it really sets it apart from other salons. My cut was only $35 and that's cut, shampoo, and style. I have gone here three times. Each time I booked an appointment, they changed it minimum twice. They ended up paying for one of my haircuts because they had changed it so many times. They have a 10 minute late policy, I am 35 weeks pregnant trying to find parking. They called me at 11:11, asked where I was, and I told them I was walking up as we speak. I was inside the salon at 11:12, and and I was refused/ asked to reschedule. At 35 weeks pregnant. She did not tell me why they kept the credit card on file. She then said, well we won't be able to schedule an appointment. Needless to say the conversation ended. This is poor customer service. Ashley is a great hairstylist but the front desk is awful. I had to cancel my appointment which was on a Tuesday. I emailed early that morning since they are closed Sunday and Monday. I was told there would be a cancellation fee associated, which was fine. What I don't get is why it was $205 for a haircut. Yep. $205 for a haircut. I didn't need to dye my hair just a haircut. Also, they are closed Sunday and Monday so Tuesday was the earliest I could notify them. This is poor management and I will not be returning. read more

Never before have I called a salon to request an appointment with a senior stylist and been told they do not accept new clients. I am new to the area, and looking for a new stylist - my previous stylist in Seattle was the most senior in a large, well known salon, so I'm not going with a junior stylist. Both the Level 4 stylists at Salon Posta aren't accepting new clients - I can understand booking out, not accepting walk-ins - but not taking new clients at all?! The receptionist proceeded to tell me that all their stylists are experienced, and the levels is just to indicate pricing (??) - but then why even show the levels at all? I am visiting Georgia from NY and my hair was just one hot mess after all that driving. I merely wanted a wash and blow out. Upon entering the salon the young lady at the front desk actually took me for a tour of the salon which is beautiful and reminded me of the upscale salons in Manhattan. My hair dresser was this very pretty young lady whose name is Raven. She was so friendly and there was very little silence during the time she was blowing out my hair (Which is quite long). We had a great conversation!!!! If I lived in GA that would certainly be my salon of choice for my hair needs. My hope was to return before I go back home and unfortunately it does not appear like that will happen :-( But if and when I do return to Georgia I am certainly going back!!!! read more

Where do I start? Ok. I have gone to the same hair guy for 18 years. 18. I just got tired of the way he did my hair - color and style. Sooooo I decided to try Salon Posta since I live near the Marietta Square. Courtney (one of the owners) personally talked to me about my desires for my hair so she could pair me with the best stylist. She paired me with Kaycee Hoyt. Y'all. Let me just tell you. I was a nervous wreck going to someone new after the same person for so long. KAYCEE IS AMAZING!!! Like I cried when she was done with my hair the first time. The color was exactly what I wanted. The cut and the way she styled it was just so perfect. I left the salon feeling so amazing!!!!!! Kaycee is hilarious, not to mention, just the friendliest person you could ever imagine. She is now someone I would call my friend no doubt!!! Also - Courtney made a point to come say hello to me when I was in the salon - as well as Stephen - one of the other owners.
