Somebody tell me how this place has been in its current location for 20 years yet my husband and I never noticed it until last week?! This is everything I want in a used bookstore. It's not slick like a Half-priced Books location, and it is packed with treasure. Mostly decent prices for 2024 and although I would say the science fiction section is either small or hard to find because it's mixed in with a lot of fantasy, it does have one and I bought some things I'm really happy about finding. I even found something from my to-read list that I didn't think I was going to be able to. I also found a copy of an Anthony Trollope book I've wanted to read for a long time, but couldn't find in the libraries I've tried. My husband went straight for the Christmas section and added some really lovely things to our collection. There's no place to sit, but the very nice person working there (the owner, I think) allowed me to rest my bad back in one of her desk chairs. I wish I had known about this place when I had more people to buy books for, but I'm thrilled to have found it now and I can't wait to go back. Next time, I will treat my best friend to a visit here. read more

A quaint shop that holds all kinds of literary treasures hidden all over its space. I found some true gems here and the condition of the books were really good! I think the one thing I would note is that this place can feel rather cramped and tight because there are books literally everywhere (on the shelves, on trolleys and the floor). The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable! I would highly recommend asking for their advice or option on a book! read more

Incredible gem of a bookstore. She has everything from deals to antiques and rare finds. If you love books, you could spend hours here! I went for the first time today and will definitely be back. The owner is smart as a whip and just so kind. She seemed to remember when she bought each book I purchased from her, and in some cases could tell me who she bought it from or who the last person was to read it before me. I absolutely love going to used bookstores! This place was a fun adventure. They have tons of books and lots to explore.

If the independent bookstore is an endangered species these days, one that advertises "books, used, rare and interesting" and has been open for 40 years is rather like a mythical beast. The Title Page, in Rosemont PA, is open every day but Sunday and also has its finest offerings for sale on line at Biblio (http://www.biblio.com/books/70480618.html). The Title Page offers everything from fine first editions, incunabula, fine bindings and art books, to Philadelphiana, Ships and the Sea, a wide selection of reference volumes, biography and an enormous selection of inexpensive out of print and popular volumes. In August of 2012, the shop was flooded by a massive water main break and nearly 30% of the stock was destroyed. The indomitable owner of the shop, Mrs. H. P. Potter (known as Beverley to her many devotees), has completely refurbished the shop and has quietly reopened in time for the 2012 holiday season. The reopened Title Page delights customers with unique books at reasonable prices, and its most treasured asset, the very knowledgeable Mrs. Potter, is on hand Monday through Saturday to locate books for you, and dispense reading suggestions and general wisdom to bibliophiles, readers and Christmas shoppers alike. Just a delightful used book store in the old school model. Overstuffed, very mild chaos of incoming and outgoing books, and the scent of old well loved paper. Organized by subject, I have found some incredible finds here in my areas of casual interest! I don't know how the owners continue to make a success of such a place, except out of true love and dedication. read more

One of my favorite places to spend a day looking through the shelves. Title Page has a wide selection of books and never fail to surprise me -- especially the genealogy and history books which I collect. The vintage and antique children's books are delightful as are some of the art books I have seen/purchased. Also, they are most helpful and FRIENDLY! Great bookstore that stocks used current fiction to antiquarian treasures. Beverly Potter is very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Located in front of an abandoned Boarders (there's a lesson somewhere), The Title Page is one of the best used bookstores around Philadelphia. Owner Beverly Potter survived a water main break which flooded her store last summer and has the place up and running at full capacity. Although she lost a lot of her stock, the majority survives. The store is packed with first editions, quality fiction, and paperback genres. I didn't get a chance to explore all of it when I visited, but it's one of the best organized bookstores I have ever encountered. This is the place where I found all three Quatermass Penguin editions. You could do a lot worse than spending an afternoon browsing through the selections. read more

As a book lover I really wanted to love this place and under the right circumstances I might love it in the future. However, my experience with it to date has just been "ok." Based on the reviews and their website I was expecting more "leather bound library editions" and less "used bookstore with tons of paperbacks." Yes, Title Page as a veritable collection of rare, first editions under lock-and-key (as they should be) and a huge selection of everything else. My biggest complaint and what frankly made me rather uncomfortable was the owner yelling requests at two men who may or may not have worked in the store and carrying on a lengthy conversation with them about a first edition that may have been a second printing while totally ignoring customers. You don't need to welcome me and I don't expect you to walk around the store with me (this place is ideal for those of us who love to roam bookstores), but take a few seconds to acknowledge me as I stand waiting at the counter to ask a question. I want to go back and fall in love with the place, but I'm a little sheepish about it. read more

I LOVE this place. Sure the prices are great and all but the owners are what really make shopping here a great experience. They are always friendly and helpful. I come with my kids a lot (which stressed me out....always touchin sh*t...) but they always chat up the kids and are accommodating. I always hold onto any new books I buy just in case I can get them here and support these guys. read more
