Great customer service! Visited here with our niece to find her a good book to read. We asked the lady in charge about possible recommendations. We mentioned some previous books that our niece enjoyed, and the lady was able to give a number of great recommendations. All three of us enjoyed the experience so much that we each bought a book. Can't wait to read my poetry collection. Great to see that this bookstore also carries the summer reading selections for local public high schools. Will be back! read more

I love this shop. Small town throwback with a great selection and curated segments to browse should you be interested. A really nice section on music and musicians in the back. Overall you'll find interesting selections. If you are unfamiliar, Narberth is a super cozy shopping district. I definitely support independent bookstores - I would just say that this one is lacking in a few departments. That doesn't mean it's bad, but if you are looking to browse something other than fiction, you might want to go somewhere else. It's small, so browsing isn't easy as it is. But, they do have a lot more self-help than philosophy, which is a strange but marketable ratio. So, I give 4 stars in order to not wreck the ratings of the place, but I will say that there might be other stores if you want to browse or get a larger selection. That said, I'm sure this store would quite gladly order books for you and have them delivered - so if you are close by, please order your books through them instead of the big-box places! read more

I want to support local bookshops i really do but the last time I went to this shop was around the holidays. There only 2-3 of us in there and not one person bothered to say hello or greet me. I don't usually need any help but I do like to have a "hello!" especially in such a small shop. There was a guy at a table right by the door who didn't bother to look up from his book, and the two people behind the counter didn't bother to stop their conversation to say hello. It's a small space with a highly curated selection but that's not why I'm giving it a low rating. I was the only customer in the store. The entire time I was there I was not greeted by the person behind the counter and was not asked if I needed any help. They did speak to their friend who was sitting in the seating area, however. I felt awkward and uncomfortable the entire time I was there so I browsed briefly and left without buying anything. read more

Quaint, cozy bookstore! Great customer service. It was an experience for sure. I called this bookstore looking for a cookbook for a new vegan, as a gift. Customer service over the phone was great so I traveled a few miles to the store. I found it easily and walked right in. At that moment I wanted to stop right there pop open a book and lose myself in a great story. It's so clean and cozy. I was able to take my time, on my own and decide on a book. The selection was great! I wasn't looking for a certain book but I found just what I was looking for!!! The manager at the store was great, pleasant, approachable, knowledgeable. I will be back. It was easy to find street parking and you can't beat great customer service. They have a nice variety of other up to date books! Wow! I read online that a new bookstore was opening in a nearby town. It was going to be an independent bookstore owned by a woman passionate about books! I had a list of books I wanted to give as upcoming holiday gifts, contacted the store, and they could not have been friendlier! This independent bookstore, run by a knowledgeable and thoughtful woman, should be celebrated. As a reader, and a lover of books, I was thrilled, when I heard it was opening. It is charming and filled with the most amazing titles. Each time I have gone in to purchase books for gifts, the owner has spent considerable time with me providing suggestions based on the personalities I described to her.
