I got my rotors and brake pads "replaced" a year ago. they are already really bad and i am getting them fixed by another mechanic and this mechanic is telling me how it seems like nothing was fixed or replaced. Nothing was greased and the rotor is ceased on the wheel hub. The brackets and back of pads or really anything with the rotor or brake pads were greased. They did a half assed job and they over change if you don't know anything about cars especially if you are a female. read more

Inexcusable neglect is a serious and unjustifiable failure to do something that one is supposed to do. It's not just a mistake or forgetfulness, but a failure to take care of someone or something that can be harmful to others. I paid them to rotate my tires. Someone forgot to tighten the lug nuts. A few minutes after leaving The Tire Warehouse, the wheel fell off my car, WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT! No further information is needed. Stay away. read more

BEWARE! As a female, they will rip you off if you know nothing about cars. I got bad tire when I paid for new. I had to go back times to have flat tires fix. They claimed I needed valve stems and said they replaced all of them. LIE! I went to a new mechanic and those were still issues that I had to pay a REAL mechanic to fix. I brought my 2011 coachmen freelander in for new tires. The tires they recommended turned out to be a better choice than the originals because the ride was so quiet and the handling much better improved. Correct load and speed rating so I was not worried about safety. These guys have always seemed to go out of the way to make me happy whether it's my car or truck I bring in it always seems to be a great job. I am also impressed that the owner appreciates people who support the local police and ambulance fire department. I bought a new set of tires with the road hazard warranty that I know did not cover what took place. I was pulling over to give way for an emergency vehicle and ripped my sidewall on a brand new set of tires I just purchased. The owner John heard how they popped and said just give him his new tire. I profoundly disagree with previous bad reviews. Bill answered the phone this morning telling me honestly i was looking at a 2 1/2 - 3 hr wait to put 4 studded winter tires on my truck, on this snowy November day. When I came in, I found a gracious and clean and roomy waiting room, with newspapers, a television, and Bill at the counter with the same story he told me on the phone. I had come with a book, so I was OK. As time passed, his crew took care of one car after another. Friends, if something is wrong with your car, it is not the fault of the garage. In my case, my truck was fine, and the tires went on without a hitch. I give five stars to the tire warehouse, for tire work. If you want fancy engine analysis work, why go to a tire store? Would you go for a heart transplant to Walmart pharmacy? Be real people. This place supplies and installs tires. At that, they Excel. read more

I had my muffler replaced at tire warehouse over the summer, and at the time they suggested I get new brakes or brake pads; I forget. So I did. Muffler is fine, brakes make a grinding screech noise sometimes when I stop. I have to really ease into a stop, to avoid it. At the time, my window wouldn't go down and they said the part would take time to get in, so I put it off. Last week I, got around to scheduling the appointment. I was told the part, would be in on Monday, I called around 5PM to check and was told, messages had been left on both of my phones. They hadn't; whatever. So I asked to make an appointment for my window and was told just to bring it in as early as possible. So I dropped it off that night. The next day around 4:45 I get a call saying the dealer sent the wrong motor. They asked to keep my car until Thursday and I declined. When I got there, I asked why I hadn't been called until nearly 5 when I was told to drop my car off early. The guy said "well we got to it as early as we could, it takes 4.5 hours to dismantle the door". So that means they started around noon, not "early" I had initially asked for an appointment to have a set time and get it done early, but was told an appointment would not be needed. I was then told they weren't charging me the 4.5 hours labor. Ok? You didn't do anything, why would you charge? So I left, with no work on my window done. Hit the button for the heck of it. Guess what? It went down! So they fudged on the timing, I'd say ordering the part, but they blamed the dealer, and would have charged me around 500 dollars, to do an unnecessary repair. I had my brakes checked at my dealer today the man who checked them said the back brakes had been "cob jobbed" and not replaced. I didn't want to save money, I wanted things fixed. On a hot Friday afternoon my tire went flat in Troy. I live in Colonie and was concerned about getting home on a small donut tire. The tire was changed by a roadside repair company and I started calling looking for a new tire. I called Tire Warehouse in Troy. The gentleman I spoke with was reassuring and gave me an estimate on a repair and on a new tire. I got there and they took my car in to be looked at in under 5 minutes. In 20 minutes they had repaired the tire. reset the flat tire alert and I was safely on my way home. What a relief. Highly recommend! read more

I visited The Tire Warehouse in Troy, NY roughly 2 years ago, when I was replacing all 4 tires on my vehicle. I had a pretty decent experience, (although it took quite a long time, roughly 3 hours waiting, but the price was good) so I decided to go back and get 4 new tires installed. Prior to going, I requested an online quote, and was quoted $75.95, installed, each. I thought great, that's cheaper than anywhere else I've looked. However, what I received was attitude when I declined a new alignment. And then an argument about it. I had to decline multiple times before the guy talking to me finally huffed and gave up, walking away from me. At the start of service, I asked HOW MUCH a new headlight bulb would be for my car. I was told by the man behind the counter that he would look that up and let me know. The next thing I know I am billed $29.99 for the bulb alone. I did not give them permission to install it, I had only asked for a quote on the price. I will be contacting their headquarters and discussing this charge, knowing that I spent under $7 for a bulb last year for my left headlight and installed it myself. I had figured if they charged double that to install, that I would just have them do it rather than be out in the cold changing it myself. Never again. I will never go back to The Tire Warehouse. I'd rather go back to MAVIS, which I thought I would never say in this lifetime. Very poor customer service, sub-standard listening skills. Pay a little extra and go somewhere else. read more

It's a terrible place where management backs up there horrible service in that garage. I went in for an alignment and two snow tires on November 7th 2018. What I got was an alignment the was worse than when I came in with and two flat tires within 30 miles of driving on them BTW it cost me $450.96. My wife picked up the car after it was serviced and called me to tell me something was really wrong and that she had a really hard time steering it. I asked her if she could take it back and she said there closed now. I drove it that night and the alignment was terribly skewed left and the front wheels were so towed inward that it was even screeching. I took off the winter tires they just put on(so they weren't destroyed by the messed up alignment). I set an appointment with the dealer to find out what was wrong on the 15th of November 2018. The person who did the four wheel alignment forgot to actually take a look at all four wheels prior to doing the alignment. I had wheel spacers added in the rear several years ago for stability. They never found them and aligned the car out of spec with them on. The dealer tech found this within minutes of pulling it in the shop. He came out and asked me if he could remove them . He stated he cannot do the alignment with them on. They would have to be removed. He explained that the front wheels are aligned using the rear axles/hubs. The rear must trail the front perfectly. If the computer is given that wider dimension and not the original factory spec, it will adjust the front to meet factory specs even though the rear was 2"wider than the factory specs. Bottom line is the dealer caught the problem and did the alignment properly. When I left there I paid 129$ gladly since it was perfect, just like the day I bought it. I was out of a car for a week because of the alignment issue and paid another 129$ to fix the alignment they messed up and still was not going to go back to complain. Really I'm telling ya if they just drove it two blocks they would have noticed how bad the alignment was. But they didn't. They never inspected the four wheels either before doing a four wheel alignment. Again the dealership caught this in minutes and remedied it. Anyways I put the snow tires back on. The tires all read 30-32 psi. I made sure they were all 32psi. I drive to work the next morning and one of the brand new tires went flat at 5AM on the Northway. I swapped out the spare tire and being that has never been used since I bought the car, was at 15psi as well. I drove so slowly to a gas station to get air when I noticed the other brand new tire on the ground , flat also. I Was Furious I had spent 450.96$ and another 129$ for a messed up alignment and two flat tires! I called Bill and explained the situation. He said just come back and we will make it right. So I go back with two flat tires and my receipts for them and the dealer alignment. Bill was on the phone and JOHN told me he was a manager as well and can help me. So I again explained what happened and asked him to refund the 69$ alignment since they messed it up and I was out a car for a week, and to put bead sealer on the new tires so they don't leak. They never put any bead sealer on the rims prior to installation. Nor dis they wire brush the aluminum rust off the rims. This was the cause of both flat tires. JOHN states that "I got what I paid for". He said since I didn't give them a chance to fix the alignment they weren't going to refund it. I said If a man comes to your house and puts in some wiring and your house burns down do ya call him back to fix it? JOHN said "Your house didn't burn down ". I said yes it most certainly did. I needed to get a second opinion on your mistake. He refused to refund the alignment and since he did that I refused to let them fix the tires. I had them removed from the rims and returned them the next day. Bill took the tires back but again didn't refund my CC. He was on the phone for a while with corporate. He then tells me that Corporate will call me today (they never did) and that they would send me a check refund. So now they have everything. They are thieves. They are dishonest. They do not back there service workmanship or tires. They will make everything they did wrong your fault. And you will pay for there mistakes. In the rain on the Northway on the traffic side changing a tire they just put on. Oh and when I was there complaining about the flat tires another customer came in complaining about the same issue with leaking tires they just put on the day before. If they don't fix the people in the shop side and get them to do things the right way. The service desk will be buried in complaints and no pay busy work. Bottom line is DO NOT GO TO THE TIRE WAREHOUSE IN TROY NY. THEY ARE THIEVES. They still have my money and tires. And I have nothing from them but another bill to fix what they screwed up. And I still need tires. read more

UPDATE: February 8, 2017 I am pleased to announce that DMV ruled against the Tire Warehouse in my case against them for scratching all four of my brand new wheels (delivered straight to them; boxes opened just before tire mounting). It was extremely hard not to scream, "Liars!," at their pompous faces (Joe, and VP, Brian) and to not strangle their coked out, dink of a lawyer during the hearing (sweating, shaking, red in the face, rude to the judge, biting nails and flicking nails on floor, checking phone constantly, couldn't look me in the eyes)...but with the power of Ruth Bader Ginsburgh's stare from the poster hanging on the judge's wall, I kept my cool. I didn't get reimbursed for the time spent writing letters and going through processes (BBB, etc.), lots of time dealing with DMV over the course of two years, or for going to the hearing, BUT I rightfully won. They paid for the damage and this mark is now on their DMV record. DON'T GO TO THE TIRE WAREHOUSE! Make reports to the DMV for their terrible conduct and a DMV investigator will be assigned your case! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! This place is a joke, brought my car there for tires last year and gave them my spare key and forgot they had it because I use the key attached to my keychain. Been calling for months and was getting the run around oh we just saw it the other day and I will mail it to you, then weeks go by and no key then I call again and again and I'm promised that the key will get mailed to me. I call today and talk to bill who's the manager mind you told me that he will not replace my key, said I lost it??? Is that a joke??? I lost it? no your business lost it, who loses a customers key?? Tire warehouse in Troy that's who. Now one of his workers or himself have a key to my car smh. They were maybe thinking I would forget or stop calling but I lease my car so now I'm screwed and that's not fair. If bill is the owner which at first he told me he was just the manager you should be ashamed of yourself that you won't replace my key that YOUR BUSINESS lost. I don't care if I left it there you have my address on file mail the key to me like what??!! Or call me and tell me you have my key. This is the worst customer service I have seen in a long time and I am not going to stop until I get my key replaced by them, I will go to news, legal help, whatever I have to do. So last winter I bought a set of tires from them PLUS the road hazard which totaled more then $1200+ so I recently called to use my road hazard..they told me they can't because it's been more than 12k miles or over a year? Though they had the best price on the tires I was looking for, I have had a poor experience with this shop altogether. I came into the shop and was told it would be about an hour. Here I sit 2 1/2 hours late for work while I continue to wait for my car to be done. They tried to scare me into buying a brake job. When I told them it would be a couple of weeks before I could do it, I was told that I didn't have a couple of weeks. Reality, my brakes are fine. I have heard them try to scare every other customer who has been done before me into doing other work as well. I will never be back, that is if I ever leave. Update: So I got out of the shop 2hr 45min later. When I went to pay, I was charged for the rear brake replacement (which I didn't get). Fortunately I caught the mistake before I had paid. If I wouldn't have been paying attention, I would have got taken on that. read more

So I had a few experiences with said tire shop. Most were good. The last experience drew the line. I went in for new tires on my wife's car and anticipated brakes needing to be done. Brakes are a relatively easy job that I just did not have time to do on my own. So I get a phone call stating that both pads and rotors are shot on the front. They quote me $319. I hemmed and hawed but thought about the time crunch. I agreed and had them do the job. After them having the vehicle from Friday at 430pm till 130pm the next day I finally call and ask if it is done. They tell me it is and I arrived a few minutes later. I get there and the car is still on the lift. From here I am not happy. I go in and the guy gives me the total so I grab the receipt and look. They are charging me for some brake caliper service. I never requested anything to do with the brake calipers and I questioned it. Some jackass manager or whoever he is came charging out of the back stating he's been doing this for 30 years and this is a charge that is warranted. I begin to get agitated and raise my voice. The jackass then puffs up and begins screaming. He starts threatening to call the cops and I tell him to shove it and signed my receipt as we are screaming back and forth. This was completely uncalled for and I will never return to be charged for a BS service that is not real. read more

My experience was brief, but pleasant. They were going to do a fairly major repair for half as much as everyone else was quoting me. But then they discovered something else even more major and told me that I should probably just not do it. It would be more than the value of the car. I was really bummed out about it because I love that car, so they offered me a free oil change when I get a new one, and the whole diagnosis was free. Plus they charged my battery fully also for no charge so I could get home (bad alternator). read more

My $800 inspection. On June 21st I took my car to be inspected. I always use Valvoline as I presume there's a chance a repair garage will find something not right that 'they' can fix. They were all very busy on this morning. Companion pointed out the Tire Warehouse as all they sold were tires, and mine were brand new. But we didn't realize, guess what, they do brakes too. I am an elderly woman who drives very little and am a very gentle with my brakes. Imagine my surprise when a man came over to tell me i needed new 'bushings' and lower control arms.. When I mentioned the 11 yr old car had under 30,000 miles he looked briefly shocked but quickly recovered and said they could last 60,000 or 20,000 miles. Please know that was much activity going on there, and neither companion nor I had a failed inspection ever. However I had outdated information concerning the rules I thought they couldn't pass the car until the parts were replaced. My companion asked about a 10 day sticker so we could leave. Worker told him they didn't have them anymore and he couldn't let the car go as it was because it was a steering issue. They did do the work, but did it need to be done in the first place? We have learned since that these things are not true. Since then many people have told us what we should have done -that we had every right to take the car somewhere else, they had no right to hold it etc. But it doesn't seem fair, nor good business, to take advantage using fraudulent information. I guess they figure the elderly are easy to fool, and in this case they were correct. read more

Since my last review, they have changed managers and quite a bit of the staff. It hasn't been for the better. With the new group, I had 3 repairs in a row going south. The last one was changing the frame on my license plate (to put on one that advertised them). They used screws that were too short and I nearly lost my plate. Zero for three. I am done. read more

They are reliable with appointments and use a dual patch and plug to repair tires. Most companies don't do that.

This past spring I had my tires changed over at the Troy store. A week later I returned to have a slow leak in the front right tire fixed. They said one of the lugs was stripped and needed to be replaced, so I needed to bring it back because it is an involved procedure on a Honda Civic. Upon return, I asked them to re-torque all of the other lug nuts because they were so tight I couldn't loosen them. This fall, while changing my tires I needed a 6 foot pipe to loosen the lug nuts, 6 out of 12 tire studs were stripped and broke off. Imagine that, 6 out of 12! I had the car towed up there to get them fixed. So far they have refused to pay for the towing bill. I'll never go there again. If you choose to, good luck at not getting one of the untrained people who don't know how to put lug nuts on. read more

I remember the last time i went to them 2 years ago shopping for tires,The manager wasn't the most courteous when negotiating a low price. After bringing in a lower cost quote, the manager got tired of me haggling and actually got upset with me quoting low prices. And in front of other customers no less.After i had beaten his second quote, he got angry and said look, i will not write out any more quotes. Bring in anyone's quote and i will beat it by a penny.It sure was a sight. I nearly busted out laughing.You will never get far in your business treating your customers, (the very people who give you thousands of dollars), like crap. I'm a mechanic by trade and I went there last week after finishing a car to get new tires mounted. *Every single "tech" was stoned. Except two guys at the counter. My car was left up on the lift for over an hour and a half after the tires were actually mounted because they "forgot " to tell me the work they were trying to sell me, which was everything I had replaced hours prior !!!!!!!!! The Scenario could be on a rip off report show. They also "forgot" to change the oil filter on another car we own in the past. They were COMPLETELY BALD 6 months later. I called them and they told me to come in. The college I work with has been using The Tire Warehouse for years, so naturally I assumed it'd be the easy choice for me when I needed work done. Could not have been more wrong. I went to them with a tire wobble issue on my 2013 VW Gli. Mind you this was a certified preowned, so it had been thoroughly checked over at the dealer. One of the things they do before selling it is give it an alignment. The gentleman at the desk said they' be able to solve the wobble with no problem. So i left my car there at 8 a.m. At around 1 p.m. I recieved a call saying the tire had been a little out of balance but they fixed it. He then told me there was still slight wobble and that the car was pulling to the right. This was something I've never felt. He insisted it needed an alignment. Odd considering what I said earlier. So after much grief I said go ahead, due to his insisting. Called back at 3;45, remember I dropped it off at 8 a.m., and was told it was out being tested. So I arrived at 4 hoping to get my car back. Not so. 4;30 the tech pulls in and says its all done. But wait theres more. The wobble was still there and now my front end feels like somethings not quite right. Oh and guess what? It now pulls to the right. So all in all I will never return to this place and I am going to make sure none of our work vehicles do either. Nice job guys read more

Was about to leave from NJ to VT when I discovered we had no pressure in one tire. Since it was a run flat, I inflated it, and as it was a slow leak, started our road trip to VT. Once on the road, we immediately started calling tire shops in the Troy area, knowing that it was a population center, and the chances were higher of finding the correct run-flat. First call was to Tire Warehouse, where Bill answered the phone, and told me that it would probably take a day to order in my tire. Then he said "Let me check something..." and put me on hold. When he returned, he said he had my exact tire, a Bridgestone P205/55 R17 98T that a customer had ordered and never picked up. He also gave me an incredible price on it, at least $75 cheaper than I usually pay for replacements. They closed at 6P, and I expected to be there at 6:10P, so he agreed to leave the tire in a concealed area for me, but when I made it through Albany without traffic, I called again, and said I would be there at 10 of 6P and asked if they could mount the tire he said yes. We arrived at 10 of 6P, and he had 3 people waiting by one of the bay doors. They immediately set to work while I completed the paperwork. 15 minutes later we were driving out of the lot as happy as could be. Great price, prompt friendly service, good selection. I've bought quite a few tires from them over the years but never again. The quality of workmanship is horrible. They don't even know how to mount and balance tires. I didn't even make it home with my $700 worth of new tires. The wheel weights came flying off with one blowing a big hole in my new tire. All the weights came off because they used the wrong type. I went & was supposed 2 get 4 kelly tires. I waited 4 them then paid 4 the tires & left. I got out & looked at the tires & they were NOT Kelly tires they were some cheap Korean tire i think they were called Kumho. I raced back & said to the guy who took care of me U gotta b kidding me im supposed 2 get kelly tires & u put on kumho. He said i know i upgraded you. I got loud & threatened 2 call police. He acted shitty to me & then as i got louder with other customers there the worker who claimed 2 b an owner said can u come back in the morning & i will put ur 4 kelly tires on.He called the next morning & put the Kellys on. Im 6.4 250lbs im not the guy 2 ROB & LIE 2 telling me he Upgraded me with a Cheap Garbage Korean tire. What does he do 2 old ladies & old men if he TRIED that on me. I would NEVER go back & Strongly advise others 2 STEER clear of Any Tire Warehouse. I had trouble with my front wheel shortly after that & wouldnt b surprised if they did the damage 2 get Even with me 4 causing a Scene in their Shop. Can u imagine a business giving u DIFFERENT tires than what u PAID 4. I cant wait 2 c the Owners Response 2 this cuz there is NO Justification. Just Dishonesty at its Worst.
