Went for my birthday twice and of course BOTH times my photo that was taken was never posted because I look different and unacceptable in this small town. Judgmental much? I also asked a question via messenger and was left on read so the fact I couldn't even get a simple reply back of YES or NO is so uncalled for. It's also too child friendly of a restaurant as they allow kids to scream, cry, and be loud to the point it's impossible to have actual conversations with your party. If you like being treated unfairly and be judged for how you look, and be treated unwanted customer this is definitely the place for you.

And the ice cream is absolutely perfect. The portion sizes are also extremely generous. The staff is extremely helpful and caring. You will not get lost without them being very quick to notice and offer assistance. They seriously care. And the place is a massive throwback. The building is apparently over a hundred years old, and it's clearly been used the whole time. If you like a classic small restaurant experience, this restaurant will deliver that in spades.

Service was good and that's about it…read more The restaurant is old and it looked and felt that way. Our diningroom had a TV with soccer/ football broadcast playing. My wife ordered the senior taco and enchilada plate (cheese enchilada) which came with chips and salsa. I ordered the chef salad, paying the extra for a crispy chicken breast addition. The chips were stale. The salsa ok if very mild. She said her taco meat reminded her of Taco Bell, but not as good. The enchilada was basically tasteless. She does not recommend that meal. The chef salad was large but was iceberg lettuce. The toppings were fairly generous, but the tomatoes weren't fully ripe and the crispy chicken addition was seriously overcooked. So dry I couldn't tell by sight if the bits were chicken or croutons. The restaurant was very busy so our meals may have been anomalies. Based on what we had, I wouldn't voluntarily dine here again.

Happy to say, we are now anticipating our next breakfast stop. While this rural restaurant may not on par with The Original Pancake House, it is the best little breakfast stop we have experienced in Eastern Colorado. Upon entering we were greeted with a friendly smile and a dining area with a pleasant, clean smell that is tidy. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak which came with gravy, two eggs, hash browns and toast. I had the California omelet and chose pancakes to accompany it. All of this came standard with the meals at no additional cost. (Thinking back to a previous customer's review about extra charge for bacon.) Everything we ordered tasted great. No knife was needed to cut the chicken fried steak. A nice touch to our experience was the warm syrup. The wait staff shared the restaurant is almost a month into new management. High five to this manager and we send wishes for much success!
