Love this place I've gone here nearly every time I've gone to cocoa beach, since I've moved here. The food is amazing the service is great the general environment it cozy and inviting. All of the people I bring there really enjoy it and end up coming back on their own. read more

Friendly staff and super flavorful food. Beer/cider selection is big with many local Floridian choices. We enjoyed a great conversation with the owner and loved hearing her story. She was super accommodating to mitigating a food allergy as best she could given the many great flavors in the food. Wish the owners well in their continued journey. If we come back to Cocoa Beach, The Tiny Turtle will definitely be on the go-to list read more

The Tiny Turtle is a little gem! Excellent service and flavorful entrees. I had the ocean sofrito Bowl with Mahi; order the large on your sofrito bowl because you will regret the smaller portion option. I will definitely return! read more

Great spot for Caribbean inspired food that is delicious and fast. Great service, friendly staff and a good collection of island beers. The sofrito is not to be missed! read more

Excellent food! I definitely recommend the nachos (get the surf and turf). A nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Nice little lunch place!

Now this is a great find! Some entrées have a choice of small or large portions... gluten-free and vegetarian options as well! Great service and a fun location. Inside or outside seating. We'll be back for sure. read more

Great eats on the beach! The bartender at coconuts suggested it and she was right! Amazing food and the go back to coconuts to drink and enjoy the beach! read more

Fantastic food and quick service. The Ocean Sofrito Bowl with Mahi Mahi is my favorite.

Yum! We got a sandwich and pork bowl to go. Food tasted fresh, flavorful, and decadent but still fresh enough to be health(ier than other island foods). The plantain chips were a little flavorless but they more than made up for it with perfect guac, sauce, meat, slaw, maduros and beans/rice! read more

Great gem in the heart of Cocoa Beach! Nice casual fare including some very good gluten free options. Look forward to coming back soon!

Great atmosphere and great service. Food was exceptional and the beer selection was good for a small place.

This place did not disappoint! I had the sofrita bowl with chicken and a glass of tropical sangria. Amazing. So far my favorite place in cocoa beach that I have ate at. read more

Hands down my favorite spot in Cocoa Beach! I'm slightly obsessed with their sofrito bowl; chicken for me, my husband usually gets the pork. It has such an interesting fusion of flavors, just love the creation. The last time we were visiting the area, I ate there twice over the weekend, it's that insanely delicious. In addition to the crave-worthy food, it has a laid-back vibe, awesome music and cool/retro games you can play while waiting on your order - which comes out pretty fast anyway. The staff are very attentive as well, always checking on you for refills, etc. All in all, it's an awesome place and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! read more

My friends and I went to The Tiny Turtle after the SpaceX/NASA launch. All of us really enjoyed our meals; the food was great. We had a fun conversation with one of the owners and the service was very good, especially in light of their shortened staff due to the pandemic. Will definitely make a point to come back next time I'm in Cocoa Beach. read more

This restaurant is great! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food absolutely delicious, and the prices equally as great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to try something new. read more

Service was not particularly good - waitress did not seem to want to be working there... then they gave us very small portions.. the Mahi Mahi salad had a 2-3 Oz portion of fish... smallest I ever had. I asked the waitress if that was a normal portion and she said it was... I was shocked. I'm a local and never coming here again. Poor service and mediocre food. Lots of better places around. Save your money. read more

sofrito is so friggin' good. the chef eats pork, no doubt. it was prepared with tinder loving care that only a swine connoisseur can give. They have a small option for the sofrito bowl which is the perfect portion size; no leftovers and no guilt because I lack the self control to stop eating when I am full. The mahi bowl was also tasty but super salty. It tasted like that fish had been swimming in brine it's whole life. They have outdoor seating so you can bring a dog. The staff is friendly. But they are on Island time so don't expect super fast service. Just chill, you will be rewarded for your patience. read more

The food was so good. We were in Cocoa Beach on vacation and I'm back home craving it from a couple thousand miles away. You can't go wrong, it's all great. I really enjoyed their bowl with the island pork and the nachos. read more

Not much to add to previous great reviews. We had fish, chicken, and pork dishes, and all were excellent. If I had to pick one it would be pork - very tender and moist with lots of flavor. The rice complements the sofrito bowl as does the sauce. The only knock is the size of the large bowl. While not small it could be a bit bigger for the price. Perfect service as well. read more

Super nice staff. Had he ocean sofrito bowl with mahi. It comes in small and large depending on how hungry. It was excellent.

Excellent food, Nachos were the best as was the service. Highly recommend visiting any time you are in Cocoa Beach. Will absolutely return before I go back to Texas. read more

I got the pork bowl, and thought it was very good. My husband ordered the Tripleta sandwich, and thought it was just okay. If I'm in the area again, I would probably go back. read more

Great food definitely worth a trip !!! One of the best sandwiches I have ever had anywhere.

After all I've read, I was excited to bring 4 of my friends here for dinner and what a disappointment. We arrive around 5:30 ish and it's not too busy but service was slow and fragmented at best. 2 people in my party received the wrong meal, after another long wait, they received their meal only to have them both incorrect again. Opting not to wait any longer, they ate what was given. The food was cold but would have been better if hot. When checking out, the server asked what we all ordered and handed us menus so we could "remember what we ordered so she could figure the bill". What? We knew what we ordered its THEM that had no clue...so we give them our order once again (mind you, this was so THEY could figure the bill! ) when we finally get to the counter to pay, the girl tells us that "if they (my guests) want their meal comped they would have to call the manager but it would take a really long time to reach them". Who says this?! We didn't want anything free just an acknowledgement or an apology for the crappy service and cold food. All around this was a terrible first impression of this 4 1/2 star joint. I would suggest the manager get in and see what's going on with his staff...they won't be 4 1/2 stars for long! read more

I ordered the tripleta! Bomb! Friendly server. The slaw was yummy too. Only reason not 5 stars because my husband was a little disappointed in the size of his bowl He ordered a large and wasn't convinced on the portions. I tend to agree with that. Everything was great, though. Definitely will go back. read more

Really loved this beachside venue! Food was delicious try out the pb&j pork sliders. It only lost a star because service was a bit slow and for the chips appetizer I was expecting a little more in the chip department. read more

Had the Sofrito bowl, I had the chicken my boyfriend had the pork. It was delicious, perfectly spiced! Highly recommend coming here!

This tiny place might be small but it's big in flavor. I have tried several different items here and everyone of them is great. The sofrito bowl, soup, burgers, and even their Caribbean Hot Dog are all good. It's located across from Cocoa Beach City Hall on Minuteman Causeway. You gotta give this place a try and once you do you'll come back again. read more

Have lived on Merritt Island for 17 years. We are very happy to find the tiny turtle restaurant. Food on the island and in the Cocoa Beach area tends to be fried and touristy. The flavors at the tiny turtle are fresh and Island like. The only reason for four stars and not five, is the sofrita can tend to be a little Bland. Perhaps a side sauce to heat it up. I was offered your standard sriracha sauce when I asked for something spicier. Service was awesome, we will definitely be back in the near future! read more

OMG! So grateful for Yelp today when driving through a major tourist town and wanting something off the beaten path. Tiny Turtle did not disappoint! Had the chicken and steak pinchos, the surf tacos with grilled shrimp, the ghost pepper salsa and homemade guacamole and the island roast pork/beef picadillo sofrito bowl. Unfortunately there aren't enough good words to describe how delicious every morsel was!! read more

If you're vegetarian they have about one or two options which mostly involves lots of quinoa but please this place is incredible, the chips and salsa are really good too :-) Pretty decent beer selection also, they have IPA if you're lookin for it. read more

Just YUM! Great lunch spot! You will need a wheelbarrow out of here if you get the bowl because you'll eat the whole thing it's so tasty!

Absolutely amazing. The tomato bisque was the best ever. Service was quick and very attentive. Coming back for sure.

My wife and ate dinner here tonight and I totally agree with the great reviews. I had the fish taco and my wife had the chicken pinchos. Both were delicious and fresh. Staff is very friendly and we like the outside seating in the back. I just wish the pinchos came with rice. read more

The Sofrito bowl with Pork is the business. I mean, it's pure deliciousness. The portions are small for the cost, but you can't deny the flavor. The establishment is cute. Plenty of outdoor seating. I went twice in one weekend...so yea. read more

The place was super cool. We got the triplette (or however its spelt) sandwich which was only ok. The plantains tasted out of a bag which is fine I was just expecting something different. The pinchos (kabobs) were delicious. They serve a mayo-ketchup thats a puerto rican must have sauce. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. We were looking for a local place to eat lunch on our day trip to Cocoa Beach yesterday and we found this place by the great reviews on Yelp. It certainly did not disappoint! It's a very small, colorfully-painted restaurant a few blocks from the main causeway. We entered from the back and noticed there was plenty of outside seating, but we wanted to sit inside, which is very small. We ordered the Tiny Turtle chip basket as an appetizer, which came with a bowl of salsa, a bowl of guacamole, and a plate full of corn chips. It all tasted very fresh and delicious. The waitress was very friendly and partway through, the owner came over and started serving us because the restaurant was busy. I got the large sofrito bowl, which is a bowl with a base of black beans and yellow rice, as well as guacamole and a cream sauce. My bowl came with half beef and half pork... omg, it was the best thing I've tasted in a long time! The pork is uber tender and flavorful and the beef was cooked in garlic... so yummy! Also in the bowl were two grilled maduros, which remind me of plantains. They are very sweet and I ate mine last as dessert. I can't wait to come back to Cocoa and get another sofrito bowl because it knocked my socks off. read more

See all

The food is excellent and the owner is really nice. Apparently he started his restaurant as just a little walk up window. Now he has a great space where he shows off the work of local artists. It is just off the main drag right next to an ice cream shop (also animal themed). read more

Yum! We tried this place on Saturday night. It was very quiet, we were the only customers there. Seating is all outside right now, the inside seating is almost ready. But it was a gorgeous Florida evening, perfect for sitting outside. I had the Sofrito with pork, my husband had the Tripeleta. We both really enjoyed our meals. The pork was super juicy & flavorful and the guacamole was just a little garlicky & spicy. The plantains that came with were also yummy. The only part of the meal I wasn't "wowed" by was the coleslaw. It wasn't bad, just ok. You've got to try the Tiny Turtle. It's the perfect casual spot for a beer & good food! read more

We were completely disappointed with this restaurant based on the former Yelp reviews. There was good flavor with both dishes; however, there was very little meat for both dishes. The sofrito bowl had mostly rice and maybe 2 ounces of pork in the dish. I ordered the large as I was told that the large had more meat than the small. I'd hate to see how much meat would come with small. We won't be back. read more
