Was visiting friends in NY and we were looking for fun inexpensive ways to spend a Saturday night and were so happy to of found Tiny Cupboard! They have a number of comedy shows throughout the night for ~$15 which is steal because all of the comedians were hilarious! They let you stay for multiple shows as long as you're buying drinks/snacks which is really generous. They have a really small bar of mostly canned cocktails, beer, and soft drinks alongside some really delicious popcorn and candy. Everything is less than $10 from what I remember so all in all perfect place for a fun inexpensive night. It is a pretty tiny and intimate space which makes for a fun comedy experience. Right next door is their board game bar with a great outdoor space so even if you don't want to catch a 2nd comedy show you can just go into the other area for board games or hanging out on the patio. There's not much else in the area in terms of night life so it's a nice place to just stay and hang for a while. read more

This place is very intimate which allows you to interact with the comedian. It's best to get here early to get your preferred seat. There are board games for you to play at your seat before and after the show. You can also give the comedian ideas of things to talk about. There's a small area to get drinks and snacks. I only took a star off because we were under the impression that we can stay for multiple shows if we have a season pass. Apparently the 8:30pm show sells out so we were told we had to leave to make room for the next guests. That was a disappointment because we planned our evening around staying for a second show. read more

So here's the thing about me--I'll laugh at anything. Seriously, Especially if things get awkward. So I'm not necessarily hard to impress as a comedy show. I've been to this spot a bunch of times, and yeah, the talent's not allllwaaayys Netflix special material, but for the ticket price? Who cares! You get what you pay for, folks, and sometimes it's comedy gold, sometimes it's... well, bronze. The no drink minimum? HUGE. Unless/also... pro tip: go to an early show, and they might let you stick around for the next one if you, you know, support the bar. I'm like, 'Sure, twist my arm. I'll have another beer!' The staff? Always a vibe--10/10 for them. And of all the shows I've been to, two comics actually made me cry-laugh. Like, full-on tears, clutching my sides. So I'd recommend this place if you're looking for an affordable night out and don't mind the risk of some slight second hand embarrassment depending on how the comics are doing. Oh, but fair warning: I've only gone on weekends, so weekday vibes? No clue. And be ready to participate, people! If you're sitting up front, you can probably count on being crowdworked. I have been here a couple of times to catch a midweek comedy show or a spontaneous show on the weekend. This is honestly a hidden gem in Brooklyn. If you buy their tickets in advance on line, you get them at such a decent price. The shows are an hour and a half long with a great set of amateur comedians. I have had my best laughs at this comedy club than at an expensive club in the city. The building itself is not the cleanest and the room where the shows are held is not the nicest but the point is to go here to have a good time. They sell white claws, wines and beers for a good price and snacks such as popcorn to enjoy during the show. If you are ever in the neighborhood, you will not regret checking this place out. read more

First time in this place & it was great. We went out of spontaneity. We went for an 8pm show and after it ended the host lets you know that you can stay for the next show if you want to. But you have to buy a drink from the bar. The comedians were ranging from 80% funny to 110% funny. The host was really good about cheering on whoever was on stage and letting the crowd know laughs are encouraged and claps are supported. read more

Amazing cozy little place for stand-up comedy. The Tiny Cupboard seats 60-80, and they have multiple shows every night. The comedians are pretty funny and do lots of crowd-work, which I enjoy. Just be mindful that the late shows (ie. 10 PM) don't have many people, so please show some extra love for those people! read more

I loved my experience at The Tiny Cupboard! It was such a funny after dinner date. We went on a Tuesday where comics tried out new jokes and all of them were super funny. I really enjoyed the variety of their jokes and personalities! The chairs were very comfortable as well and I didn't feel like moving throughout the entire hour and a half set. I think adding some fun cocktails would be a nice improvement. I like the variety of snacks and drink that they do have and really appreciate that there is not a drink minimum. Adding some more exciting touches would bringing my rating up to a 5 easily! read more

We went for my mother's birthday. The jokes were hilarious when they were, and laughable when they weren't so funny. The wines were good, and we got comfortable seating arriving five minutes late, but the house was full and we had a great night. Definitely coming back! read more

Comedians are okay and the neighborhood is kinda shady but what do you expect under the J train. Too small for comfort but the price is alright I guess for the talent you will see. If you have other options I would go there and spend the extra money on better comics. read more

I came to this place on a Saturday night to have a good time and enjoy some good laughs. The place is a cool, cozy spot in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The establishment sits about 40 to 50 people with chairs surrounding the stage. In the front they were serving a small variety of beverages and popcorn. We enjoyed about 9 acts, most of the comedians were hilarious, some comedians interacted with the crowd which was pretty funny. The entire act was about an hour and a half. My friend and I never went to a comedy show before so we last minute found one at Tiny Cup Board and got our tickets an hour or two before it started. Once we go to the location we were confused on where it was but eventually made our way in. Entrance is a bit sketchy but inside is literally on of the cutest spots ever. Had so much fun and so much laughs, the hosts and comedians were all great. Well organized and super well kept! Super pink inside which I love, a bit small but does feel pretty cozy and warm. Cute spot. Went tonight to the 9:30 show and I'd say there was about 9 comics. Out of the 9 comics only one girl was pretty good, and the ones that were bad were so bad it was painful to watch. I was looking for something to do with my bf after having lunch/dinner and I looked up some comedy shows online and came across this place. I decided to get tickets online and we headed to The Tiny Cupboard. I have to say I really enjoyed myself here. The woman checking tickets and selling refreshments was really sweet, the comics were funny and the atmosphere was really cute. It was a small space but there was plenty of room to sit and be comfortable. They also had a bathroom for all genders. The refreshments included things like chips, candy, and they even had tacos which I didn't try but that's pretty cool. For drinks they had a selection of pale ales and IPAs, hard seltzers/lemonades/ciders and soft drinks. The energy was cool and I was definitely laughing a lot. It's one of the dopest place in NYC run by a dope couple. They ran lots of amazing comedy shows on the rooftop, and you can see the skyline of Manhattan from afar, with sunset, it's the best things ever. this was a superb evening's entertainment. We found it by chance, as we were staying in Williamsburg for a couple of nights and absolutely love comedy. We took a chance as we knew nothing about the venue but absolutely loved the evening. The club is intimate and very reasonable and the entertainment was extremely enjoyable. We loved all the different comics and laughed non-stop, particularly with Rimey and the Syrian comic. . Definitely worth going to and if we had more time in New York we would come back. I had the chance to attend a comedy show at the Tiny Cupboard with a few of my friends. I had heard of this venue but had never personally been to a show here. Their famous for hosting their shows on the rooftop. When we arrived we showed our tickets to the host at the front door and then were instructed to go up the stairs to the roof. This space doesn't have an elevator so if walking up several flights of stairs is an issue for yourself you might have to go elsewhere. Once we got to the top (after many flights of stairs) you see the very minimal set up for the crowd. There are several pairs of folding chairs spread throughout the rooftop and there are extra stools for additional seating if there's lots of people attending a particular show. During the show their were about six or seven comedians who did sets, along with the MC. The show lasted about an hour and a half and was really good! This seems like a good idea for the summer - not so much if its cold and windy. It's also ok to BYOB (even though they suggest not to). Try it out if you want to enjoy some comedy with a view! read more

We came about 10 minutes before showtime and got great seats right in the middle. All of the comics were incredible and my face literally hurt by the end of it from laughing so hard -- especially because of the closer (rufat agayev). I started going to The Tiny Cupboard back in the fall of 2019, and their indoor shows were so fun. They definitely stepped up their game with their rooftop shows this summer and fall 2020.
