Anthony took the time to guide us through every aspect of our project, be it coming to the store with us to pick materials, giving his point of view when solicited, and helping us understand the pros and cons of the selections we were making. He did his best to keep the areas clean as much as possible. I love my new bathroom. Anthony did a great job and when I look at it now, I realize that it looks better than I had imagined! It is built very precisely and the tile work is perfect. The project would have been a 5 star experience had the timing been more what we had discussed and expected vs. wrapping it up 7 to 9 days passed schedule. Anthony did his best to make it up to us and was always very profesional about things. I would work with Anthony again and would recommend him to my family and friends. I plan to work with Anthony in the remodeling of my kitchen. I will then be more realistic about timing and set myself up with better precautions, knowing that this is always a risk we take when working with any contractor or construction. He came twice to the house, spoke with my husband and I and assured us that the work could be done while we were away for a one week vacation. He promised that the bedroom floors would match the hallway color and gloss and that the house would be ready for painting and installation of a carpet runner upon our return. He gave us a bid and, while not the lowest bid we received, we decided to go with him as he was recommended by a friend. About mid way through our vacation, I texted Marco to inquire how the job was coming. Marco exclaimed that they forgot to do the steps, but assured me that they would be done when we returned in three days. Upon our return we found the company van parked on our curbside, which was muddy and full of deep tire tracks. Inside the house we found that the bedroom floors did not match the hallway gloss, a patch needed to be done in one room and the wood was a different grain and color ( looks horrible!), a new doorway saddle was installed which also did not match in color and the work on the stairs was substandard - they didn't clean out the caulk and stained right over the lumpy bumpy mess. Our painter spent considerable time cleaning the corners out and restraining the wood under that caulk before painting. On top of all of that, his employees had removed the tape we had placed over the doors to our master bed and bath. Someone had deficated in the toilet of our marble bath, tried to unplug the toilet with the toilet brush and had splashed feces all over the bathroom. Marco came to the house, was argumentative and rude - denying any responsibility for anything. He lied about telling us that the color and gloss of the floors would match and his employees lied about having soiled our bathroom. Wish we had not hired this company. Lesson learned - be wary who you trust in your home. Worst home renovation experience ever!

In addition, he applied wrong poly finish from what we agreed to use. While I fully understood there would be some paint damage as I have been through this process before, the damage done was excessive and purely due to the laziness of his workers. Instead of apologizing, Marco got nasty me and said it is what it is. He may seem like a nice guy at first, but don't be fooled.

They prepared a CAD for the kitchen cabinetry and an attractive center island that opened the kitchen into the dining room and sitting area. Nearly a year later, my wife and I marvel at the beauty of the redesign and quality of construction. The demolition and installations went smoothly and timely. A special shout-out to Faseeha Ahmad, the interior designer, who repeatedly exhibited her talent at matching color, style, and placement--even joining us to select a couch, area rug, and other complementary touches that brought adjoining rooms into harmony with the remodeled kitchen. I called many months ago and spoke with the owner (Mike) to replace damaged laminate flooring in a business in my commercial building. The owner, Mike, had came and measured and said it would be done soon. Several weeks had went by with no calls or updates. I was wondering why no one reached out to give me a status update, so I called the owner. When I called him, he said he would call me back in a few minutes but never did. I was starting to get "fed up" and reached out again, and he started ignoring my calls. When I became totally fed up and left a voicemail of my displeasure, he then put me on automatic - voicemail. I was a loyal and dependable customer to them for years without any issues. I talked to my friend who referred me to Best Carpets and Interiors and I found out that the company's business practices are not what they used to be. Basically, if you are not a "big job" like a large scale renovation, you are but on the "back burner". I was really "stunned" because the job I needed done was an easy one or two day job. (laying down laminate in a room in my tenant's beauty salon. I referred people to Best Carpets in the past, but " never again".

The old door, which I think was the original one from the 1960s, was in awful shape; it didn't close cleanly, it didn't lock properly, and the insulation around the perimeter was severely lacking. On the appointed day, NY Renovate got a team down to us first thing in the AM. They ripped out our door toot sweet and put in the new one along with some great sidelights in just a few hours. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting kitchen renovation turned into a very negative experience. Went online to find out they had so many similar complaints. It's no wonder they went out of business before. Why they started back up under another name is beyond me.
