The tech monkey after raising canes in Farrel Street. Steve is the owner, Alexis is the young happy Mex chap. Love this place and dudes. It started with a "Casino rig" build. Long story yet a hilarious one for the brother n law. Boy, it was a tight budget. Some used parts on our end 1060 and 1700x yet the rest used parts bin on theirs. It didn't run warzone at all but that is OK! Casino rig met its match. Too weak. It socks two sock, sock it up butter cup! Lol 2nd build as I went all out for what I afforded in cash again and the 7800xt just dropped in spring 2023. Give or take. They came out with the blue prints, parts and put it together. Ddr5 non qvl rams in but was unstable. They swapped out to another set different sku. Same problem, they swapped again to non qvl g skill set but worked flawlessly with 7600x am5. All this free of charge. In the end. Techmonkey build they honor their build warranty. Positive light and learning for me. Ok warzone obviously on 1080p which I bought the monitor used from them it was like a space ship! 240 plus fps smooth. from like 43fps and crash on casino 1st build rig. I made my wife a computer with a friend based the things I learned from their 2nd build and I still stop by frequently with the rescued husky/shepherd Kyloren and zephyrus the husky. My build well, started with asus b350f motherboard and the 3700x wasn't jiving even with asus bios. I changed out to msi tomohawk b450 and now rams won't work. I bought rams on qvl per msi. No big. Works now! Oh the pc gamer banter is strong and good that I have a thick skin. We all learn now. My wife's computer is capped at 60fps and screen tearing on Destiny 2 so I bought the display port cable. 3070 asus. Try again maybe Friday. If the cable doesn't work. Asus going on permanent time out and my hellhound 7800xt. I feel like Rocky yo! Remember, I am self-taught. Techmonkey I love this place. On a pinch they always have something that I need. The dogs cries for tech monkey. read more

I went in to get a couple of things assembled for my gaming PC which was a CPU, motherboard and DDR5 ram sticks. I went in literally 15min before they closed (sorry) and they were still ready to take me in. They looked at it and suggested a couple of parts that I needed which was an AIO cooler, power supply, and a couple of fans. They didn't rip me off, gave me the minimum of what I needed. I also purchased a beautiful case from them. After all was done, they installed game launchers, benchmark testing, SSD testing, installed windows 10, ran diagnostics to make sure everything was working properly and efficiently. These guys are the real deal. Very knowledgeable and will recommend everyone to these guys. read more

After I had my PC fixed, I discovered that my entire hard drive has been cloned (copied). I had a special software installed to detect this. I would not bring my personal computers to this place. read more

Took my PC here for diagnostics and repairs after it started randomly chugging and crashing during gaming. They were pretty busy and told me as such, so they called me back a week later to tell me what the issues were. Two hours later they called back and my PC was running good as new! They even lowered their normal fee by about 50% since it was a simple issue that I had missed that was causing my problems. Great service and guys working here. Also, they have two super cute dogs that roam the shop and that's awesome. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The service I got was AIO assembly, which is $189. I don't know about you guys, but it is worth every cent. I brought the parts and let them do their things. It turned out that I just got the best looking PC of my life. Thank you TTM. read more

Paid for a custom build with brand new parts. RTX 4090 gpu 7950X3D cpu X670E motherboard 64gb DD5 ram Lian Li case, fans, and AIO All of those parts were my personal choice aside from a be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 1300W power supply recommended by their employees. The amount of issues is so long, I rather just TLDR. First time around, power supply popped. I had to order new one. They ran diagnostics and said everything was fine but obviously it wasn't. Watch the video Since they can't find what the issue is, won't let me bring the monitor so they can test with same setup (due to no room), I now have to rebuild a new computer. Now I have to disassemble and re-build AGAIN. What I mainly have issues with is their understanding of customer service. If a $6,000 computer was brought to you with issues that you built, you'd think they would fix it or at least discount something. It is what it is. Going somewhere else edit** Crazy how when I brought computer to be disassembled from another spot here in Vegas, they found the motherboard with bent pins INSTANTLY. You would think that a custom computer place would inspect and find these issues at the start. Not just for the computer to post and turn on. read more

Apparently when you have an issue with The Tech Monkey, and they don't feel like it is their fault, and you try to explain your side of the story, they treat you like you are garbage and threaten you with legal action. And only then, if you're willing to cooperate with their demands, do they expect you to sign an NDA that would prevent you from ever expressing your experience ever again. read more

As a truck driver my time is limited it's nice being able to trust tech monkey I stopped in for a PCIE cable not knowing if he had it or not. he took the time to help me research and figure the best possible cord that might work being that I never brought my computer in he suggest I do my own research which I did and glad he was able to help me decide and purchase the right cable to get my AMD RX6800. Everything worked out perfectly. Glad Las Vegas has a great shop that knows their information glad there's a replacement since fry's left Las Vegas #supportyourlocalcomputershop this is the one read more

Amazing customer service and fast response time! PC decided not to boot up anymore and they had a selection of SSDs on hand, reloaded windows, and although I've gotta start over on data, the PC runs the same as I bought it from The Tech Monkey 3 years ago! Thank you guys! read more

A pleasure stopping by here there were many options for just buying a prebuilt P.C but also what I loved about this place is that they can also build your own desktop if you bring your parts too. read more

Wonderful small business. They have everything that you need and certainly have competitive prices. When I built my last PC a lot of the things I couldn't find online, they had in stock, saved me shipping times and pricing wasn't outrageous considering the times. I've referred quite a few people here who have bought PC's or parts from them over the last year. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful too. I brought a hard drive with me when I was picking up some parts when I stopped in and they checked it really quick for me last minute. Will definitely return if I need anything in the future. read more

Love coming to this place. They are always super nice and super helpful. They usually solve my problem right away. And Duke is always super nice. read more

This place is a pc gamer's haven! I brought in my video card to get it repadded since it was running very hot and loud. They got it back to me in about a week and I was extremely pleased with result. My card's vram now runs 10-15 degrees cooler, and I don't hear the fans blasting like a jet any more. I'll definitely come back to this place for future needs. Big shout out to Cameron for the awesome repadding job! read more

This place has everything you need, amazing staff, and cute doggos when you walk in. I went to them to pickup a few parts that I needed and had the most amazing time chatting and browsing. I also had an issue where I wired my PC wrong so I brought it to them and they fixed it in a heart beat. They also fixed some of my cable management to clean it up a bit on the inside. I would never hesitate to do business or even stop in to chat with them. Great company, great team. 10/10 shop read more

This place is absolutely awesome. Steve and Alexis the two employees, possibly owners I got to meet and interact with are amazing. My hard drive suffered a catastrophic failure and these guys while they weren't able to fix the hard drive helped me get my 8 plus year old laptop up and working again with a new hard drive and upgraded RAM. They were honest enough with me to tell me where to go to get a new upgrade of my ram even when they should have made more money off of the sale. It is so refreshing to meet such honest good people and know such a thing still exists in the world. I cannot rave about these guys enough and they even helped me with a very very reasonable license to Microsoft office 2019 since I had to upgrade to windows 10 and the last version I had of Microsoft office, the license for was too old to work with windows 10. They also had really reasonable prices on new equipment which I could have springed for but was able to get my old laptop back up and running that is near and dear to my heart. It also helped me cut down on the e-waste which is something I care about. Please give these guys your business, for all of your computer repair, or super hardcore computer gaming needs, these guys are your best bet. read more

Called in from recommendation of a friend that got his PC built here. He told me he paid $130 for a full built AIO PC and so I requested a quote for a full built RGB fan PC and they told me starting is $150 and gets more expensive depending if it's a fan or AIO. How is it that he got $130 but I was quoted for $150 starting? Is it because I'm a female who supposedly doesn't understand computers?? Awful sexist business. read more

Great people in there that know what they are talking. Helped me with my personal build and saved me hundreds on parts.

This place went out of there way to help me today great customer service helped me decide what motherboard and case to get it. Even went online to see if the motherboard would be good to overclock on. Also saved me from spending an extra hundred at big box Best Buy. read more

My brother got a virus in my computer that gave me a boot error and it was 2 days before school started I WAS PANICKED!. I wish I went to Steve at tech monkey that same day instead of trying to troubleshoot it myself and delaying the fix for another 2 days. Don't second guess it and make the mistake I did, I gave him my tower on Sunday afternoon and he had it back to me Monday afternoon. I was expecting extra charges and for it to be a bit more expensive than it was, DEFINITELY WORTH IT.made my first experience trusting someone with my computer a great one and I wont go with anyone else. read more

I found Steve on Craigslist while looking for a replacement of an old PC tower that I had. I did not want to spend lots of money for upgrade parts. Then I seen a refurbished Alienware R3 laptop that had everything I wanted and with an awesome price. It looks like new. Before contacting Steve I did my research and price matching. Hands down I am very pleased with my Tech Monkey purchase. I found this business to be very consumer friendly and honest. Highly recommend. read more

My desktop was slow, internet not functional. i needed a fix, found Steve on Yelp. I liked his hours 8a-8p & the price was right. Arrived on time, Dx my issues, did multiple repairs & fixes.I have a custom pc, Steve addressed a few minor problems ,left my desktop running as good as new. Also took the time to relocate my tower to free up more desk space. Plus installed new anti-virus software & removed unwanted files { MILLIONS}. My pc is much improved..thanxx Steve! read more

Dropped off a computer today. I was pretty sure it needed a new hard drive. I'd been trying to re-set/reinstall Win10 after a crash...and it would get to a point where it needed to connect to the internet for an update to complete the process...and I would only get "limited" connection with either Wifi or Ethernet. (The command prompt wouldn't even see a C drive...just the X drive.) There was no data to retrieve. I was super pleased that the young man who helped me was respectful, listened to me, treated me as a person who had technical expertise in my own right. I can already tell this is a great place. read more

Steven was great! He showed up in minutes and fixed my PC and kept me posted every step along the way! Sold him something on eBay and unfortunately USPS damaged the item in transit. I offered him a lot of different items for free and gave him a refund once it was returned. He ended up leaving me a negative review even though I checked in w him multiple times and he told me it was 'OK'. I run a very small eBay store and its mind blowing that a guy like this would just ruin years of hard work despite my pleas and offers to make things right. read more

I highly recommend Steve for repairing laptops or computers as he is good in troubleshooting and finding the rootcause. My laptop had a display problem for which a store guy estimated $200 just for labor to fix the issue. However Steve found the issue to be on display cable and recommended me to buy it online so that it would cost less and he then fixed it to make sure the issue does not happen again. He also installed some additional software for me to make my laptop faster. Best service and low price! read more

I found Steven Skwarkowski on Las Vegas Craigslist today (headline used the words "certified" and "professional" based in Henderson, NV) and felt good about him after our initial phone visit -- invited him to debug and de-virus my mother's Windows 7 PC in Green Valley. He doesn't charge extra for house calls. Steven showed up exactly on time with his tool bag, was young, clean cut, friendly, took his shoes off before walking on my mom's carpet, and got right to work troubleshooting and fixing the computer problems. Usually I'm pretty good at cleaning up a sluggish computer, but the long term mess my 68 year-old mom had created on her machine was way over my head. Steven knows the ins-and-outs of computers like a dentist knows tooth enamel and root canals. He did a great job performing his computer surgery and was diligent about it. His appearance, demeanor, and skill exceeded our expectations. I'll not only invite him to service my family's computers from now on, but also I'll recommend him to friends and colleagues. He honored his advertised rates -- there were no phony hidden charges. I'm glad I took the time to find the right person for my mom's computer. I don't have to shop around again for someone I can trust -- Steven's the one. read more
