Booked a $200 session hoping for clarity on my love life; her website gave me the impression of a…read morepsychic reading, but what I got felt more like a general astrology-plus-tarot session. She uses the Placidus/Koch system, so if you do decide to book a reading, go in prepared with exact birth dates, birth times, and significant meeting calendar dates around your love interest. She doesn't list this on her website, which I feel she should, since her preferred system requires that level of precision. Her tarot instincts seemed sharp. That said, she wouldn't let me see the cards on the table, which really bothered me as a tarot reader myself. When she told me I'd drawn her card for isolation, I just wanted to know which card it was, and my curiosity felt unwelcome. She allows audio recordings but not photos/recordings of the tarot cards, which struck me as odd since tarot is such a visual practice. The astrology was light on the major transits for my year ahead and heavy on obscure asteroids, and the session kept drifting into my past and family including repeated questions about my retired mom's dream job when I'd come specifically to talk about my future + love life. I left feeling more deflated than enlightened. There's nothing she told me about my chart that I didn't already know from having astrology as a hobby, except the obscure asteroid stuff, which wasn't useful to me. Then after the session she revealed she'd been working from the wrong birthday for my love interest, which meant about 25 minutes of the reading were useless. If you're after a straight gifted psychic reader, a serious astrologer who does full birth-chart-and-transits forecast reports, or a tarot reader who lets you inspect the cards, I'd look for someone who specializes in each separately. Someone who claims to be all three is probably too good to be true, as I feel that was the case here. I did come in with tarot + astrology knowledge and strong intuition of my own, though, so someone newer to all this may get more out of it than I did.

She had example resumes and resources that helped me bring life back to my resume, which I had grown deeply disillusioned with. While applying to transition jobs, Laila advised me to apply to as many as possible so I could have the upper hand in making my decision. Still in a very low place, I took the first offer I was given. As Laila could have predicted, I didn't last long (only a couple of weeks). The whole experience helped me realize that I wanted something between a transition job and my dream job, a little more in alignment with who I am. Ultimately, I was given three incredible offers, and Laila helped me negotiate which offers were right for me as well as coached me in negotiating compensation for my skills. If you are somebody who, like me, struggles with imposter syndrome and fully claiming your value, Laila enthusiastically supports you in advocating for yourself. I never imagined I could get the offer I ended up accepting- I am earning the highest hourly wage I've ever earned in a part-time job with full benefits doing the kind of work I want to do (work not usually highly compensated). Throughout the whole process, I always felt I had somebody at my back who believed in me and was available to talk through each interview and the challenges of surviving in such a tough economy, but I also had somebody to celebrate each small win with.
