I stopped here on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. The drunken noodles with chicken is the go to dish for me as you usually can't go wrong with this. The pork belly bao bun was another excellent choice. I wish I had two orders of those. I finished this tasty meal off with a honeydew milk bubble tea. When I'm in the area, I will definitely try some of the menu items recommended in the reviews.

This is not authentic Asian food nor does it taste good for Asian fusion. The food was overly sweet, soggy, or dry. The mango with coconut rice is nothing like traditional mango sticky rice. This is very fast food Asian cuisine that may satisfy western tastes, but if you're looking for authentic Asian cuisine you won't find it here.

My mom and I ordered from The Takeout Box one evening when I was over at her house and everything was deeeelicious. As the name states, they specialize in takeout fare (although there is some seating onsite), although we got our order through delivery. I ordered the chicken bao buns and the gang garee (yellow curry) with chicken and my mom got the glass noodles and we split a mango coconut sticky rice for dessert. The bao buns were SO good. It was fried chicken, red onion, daikon radish, carrots, cucumber, and spicy mayo (you can also make it halal for an additional charge) all wrapped up a pillowy bun. Two per order was a good size, too. And the gang garee? Excellent. The curry sauce is so good, the chicken was nice but the real standout were the potatoes. I don't know WHAT they do to them but they were incredible. I added peanuts to my order which I would also highly recommend for a little bit of added crunchy texture. The portion on that one was perfect for one meal but if you were planning splitting it with someone else or into two meals for yourself I would recommend adding some apps or another entree to round things out. The mango sticky rice was also great. It was my mom's first time trying it and now she's hooked. We also got bubble teas and I have to admit that was the only thing I wouldn't order again. The drink (black milk tea) itself was very good but the boba was a little on the firm side. Not sure if it was undercooked or just got too cold but it wasn't my favorite. But we'll definitely be back again soon for more of that delicious food!

First off, it is a 5 food experience for sure. We tried just a portion of their items for selection and loved every one of them. From the bao buns to the fries and the shrimp, it was all on point. Just delicious offerings, and I can't wait to try others. I would say that the only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars all around is that it is exactly as the its named, The Takeout Box. This place is made for quick service. Not a lot of seating, and your interaction with the staff is super quick. No complaints from our end. Totally recommend. Will absolutely be back.

Pad Thai, medium heat and ON POINT!!!

My Fiancé and I happened upon this place when getting coffee at Starbucks a few weeks back They were closed, so we looked over their menu online and decided it was something we wanted to try. Yesterday was the day! We were greeted promptly with a smile, and scanned the QR code to go over the menu again. My Fiancé got the Thai chicken basil, which she absolutely LOVED, and I got shrimp Pad Thai, which was by far the best I have ever had!! I also got the pork belly Bao buns and they were to die for! Fiancé got the sticky rice desert with Mango and she raved about that as well. Food was super fresh, quick turn time and we could not be happier to have found this place! We highly recommend!!!

FIRECRACKER CHICKEN

The firecracker chicken was literally 1% chicken and 99% breading. Most of the squiggly looking pieces didn't even have chicken in them. The satay chicken was fine but the peanut sauce tasted like peanut butter straight from the jar. Would not recommend or go back.

Curry Fried Rice

I got the curry fried rice & the thai fried rice. Both are absolutely amazing. The curry fried rice can taste a bit too sweet at times. And the thai fried rice definitely could use a bit more saltiness. Overall, this place is really good. I knocked one star down for the portion of the food in comparison to the price. The portions here are small & the pricing can get to around $15 a dish depending if you want to add protein. They are looking more like $12 at most.

The Takeout box is a family owned restaurant that open right before Covid. The reason for the 3 stars is that the portions used to be larger and the quality was better prior to Covid. Now the prices have increased and u get less chicken in smaller pieces. I'm definitely going to go back and give them another try because I used to love this place so much. The picture of the fire cracker chicken was prior to Covid. The service is good and everyone is friendly. The restaurant is clean.

Below is my review based on my recent pickup order : 1. Placed an order through phone, it was ready on-time when I went for pick up. 2. Packaging was good. They had wrapped it with foil and the boxes were thick. 3. The food was fresh and flavorful. 4. Pad Thai Noodles was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. 5. Spring Rolls were crisp and tasted great. 6. Drunken chicken had a smell of fish sauce so I did not like it much. But, hubby said it was amazing. 7. They take care of the customization, spice levels were spot on as mentioned. 8. We ordered both the noodles in the veggies version. The veggies were less than par which was disappointing and could have been better. 9. The quantity was just okay. 10. They don't do curbside pickup, you need to step into the store for pick up. 11. Good parking space. Overall, The quality of the food was good and I would recommend.. Decent place to fulfill your Thai cravings in the canton area..

Pick up only at this time.

Takeout Box could end up being one of my favorite places for Thai food. I've been here twice since the COVID stay at home started and both times our carry out service was good and food even better. The first time hubby and I shared two meals - Drunken Noodles and Firecracker Chicken. The servings were big - we had some Drunken Noodles leftover. Although we really liked them both, we both thought we preferred the Drunken Noodles. Because I liked them both so much, I'd like to get both again and share. The second time I got carryout it was just me so I got Drunken Noodles and spring rolls. It was a nice bonus to see that an order of Spring rolls is actually two rolls. They were fairly good - I may order again to help me decide if I really like them. The Drunken Noodles dish was yummy again. Medium spice is plenty for this spice lover. I follow Take Out Box on Facebook and they are very good about posting any changes in hours. They also communicate the precautions they are taking during the COVID pandemic. I feel safe about ordering from them and Im glad them came to Canton!

We were craving Thai food and this popped up on DoorDash. We ordered the Firecracker Chicken, Pork Belly Buns, Thai Fried Rice, Crispy Rolls and Pad Thai. The Firecracker Chicken was very flavorful with a slight kick to it. The Crispy rolls were delicious, but the sauce that came with it had no flavor at all. It needs to be paired with a spicy sauce to bring the crispy rolls up a notch. I've had better Pad Thai like other reviewers have noted as well, but still easy on the taste buds. The Thai Fried Rice I must say was the best out of all the entrees. The spice level was perfect and the flavors were divine. As far as the Pork Belly Buns the buns were soft and delightful, the pork belly was tender. Overall for take out it was good. Update: been ordering here for the past month. Finally ordered the drunken noodles. OMG, I wish I ordered this sooner. The pictures on yelp do not do it justice. This is now a family favorite even with the pickiest person!!!

Judging from the words 'Takeout Box', you would never guess that this is a new pan-Asian eatery. Their location was a small suite in a strip mall to the west of the local Sam's Club. I counted nine two-top tables so the dine-in capacity was not large, but takeout is their game as indicated by its name. The restaurant was still in its soft opening phase with full operating hours scheduled to roll out in January. The menu had offerings from China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and even Laos. Korean fare would be the one biggie missing from this group. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant surprise to see such a wide span of cuisine choices coming out of a single kitchen in a suburb where nothing like this exists. From the list of seven starters, the one which caught my attention was the Tornado Potato. I usually see this item sold only at county/state fairs during the warmer months of the year so I wanted to try their version of deep fried spiral cut potatoes on a stick. You could order it with a pre-specified sauce or do what I did and added various seasonings that were available on a tray off to one side of the service counter. The amount of batter the cook used was just the right level to keep the potato light and crispy. After a lot of indecision, I picked the Glass Noodle as my entree from the Specialty group. The wok fried transparent noodles were prepared with grounded pork, red pepper, cilantro and mint as a classic Laotian flavor combination. The dish was served in a convenient plastic, recyclable take-out box which was what I needed anyways for the portion I took home as leftovers. Outside of a few things that may have been a tad pricier than I had expected, I liked this place well enough to give it between four and 4.5 stars for my experience.

Curry Fried rice with shrimp

Its Saturday night and I was looking for some tasty Chinese and/or Thai food to eat close to where I live. So of course I searched on Yelp. I see this new spot with some pretty good reviews. I think, why not let's try it. I ordered the fresh rolls and the curry fried rice with shrimp, medium plus spicy. My total was $16. Food was ready in good timing when I came to pick it up. Staff was friendly. The restaurant is very bright on the inside as well. Returned home and was VERY pleased with my decision. The spice level was perfect and I had no complaints on the food whatsoever.

Truly an incredibly underrated restaurant that more people need to try! I always go here for my…read moreextra spicy pork Larb and they always make it to perfection. I've had it sit down and take out, and in both instances the serving size was really good making it way worth the price. When I've ordered online, they always pay close attention to the extra instructions I add about adding cucumber and spice so you don't have to worry about that being overlooked. The ambiance of the restaurant is honestly top tier with the real flowers and candles on each table, aesthetic consistency, along with their round turning table perfect for large parties. These are the things I've tried from there: Orange chicken: 7/10 (and only because it's not my favorite dish anywhere, I just tried a bite of someone else's but it's good and has fresh mandarin in it; it quickly became my dad's favorite dish there) Pork Larb: again and again 10/10 I could eat this everyday Sesame chicken: 8/10 (not the best of the best I've tried but still very good) Kick boxing chicken: 10/10 Sticky rice: 10/10 perfect with my Larb Thai tea: 10/10. the best Thai tea I've had in Michigan. Very creamy and great flavor I've had a lot of Asian food in my day but this place is definitely one of the best in what they have.

Our first delivery order here was pretty solid! The prices are awesome and you get a lot of food;…read moretwo meals worth per dish in most cases, I'd imagine. The chicken wings could have had more Thai flavor, but overall a decent wing with a nice texture. Red curry is among the top in town, according to my partner! The wonton egg noodle soup was good, but I was disappointed in the flavor and quantity of the pork. The wontons were very good, though. Do they have bacon inside? Yum! The mango stick rice was excellent, and enough for four people! Quite the value. We'll try more from the menu here for sure and I'll report back on the rest!
