I think what really makes this place shine compared to anywhere else I've ever been is the service. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in and the guy (I forgot his name lol) was extremely attentive/helpful. The prices were fair for the quality and I appreciated the work ethic of the tailor. He kept continuously asking if I was happy with the alterations, meaning he was willing to keep working on it until it was just right. That speaks volumes. Only reason I can't give this place the full 5 stars is the selection of suits I saw. Maybe I just caught them at a time when they didn't get to replenish the racks but there wasn't a whole lot to choose from. The place also doesn't have a very "luxury" feel to it. It has a very outlet warehouse type of vibe which I personally don't care for if I'm shopping for suits. Other than that though, this spot is top tier. read more

Parking is relatively easy to find. PRICE I think price is cheaper if you get bulk (like part of a bridal party), but prices were reasonable for what you get. TAILOR There's also a tailor on-site, but note that it may take a few weeks based on how busy he is. STYLISH OPTIONS They have TONS of options. SRG is awesome. I heard about them through a friend, and the timing was perfect as my future brother-in-law, groomsmen and I needed some wedding suits. Was it worth trekking out to Astoria? Definitely. The shop doesn't look like much on the outside (someone joked it was like a suit store speakeasy), but they have everything you need inside. It's basically a showroom, and they have their warehouse next door with hundreds of suits in all sizes. I previously spoke to Mike on the phone to set up our appointment, and he was able to slot us in even though it was a busy day (Saturdays are appointment only). Once we were in the shop, Orlando took really good care of us. He was a good humored guy who took the time to learn all of our names. Made sure we all got the right sizes and everything was seamless (all to way to billing and bagging up our suits). He also dropped some knowledge on us about what makes a quality suit and gave recommendations on colors and looks to match what we were looking for. We ended up getting a wonderful set of Giovanni Bresciani Super 150 navy blue suits for the groomsmen and a tux for the groom (navy with black trim). Not going to lie - I kinda wanted a tux for myself because it looked so sleek. All Italian and slim fit. Modern but still classic. Quality materials all around. We opted to have alterations done on our own (because it was more convenient that way), but they employ a tailor. They also have all sorts of dress shirts, ties, belts, cufflinks and pocket squares available for sale. Some of their knit ties and knit belts were out there, but I dug them. I came here last weekend with my fiancé, my brother, and my future brother-in-laws. This place was recommended to us by my brother's friend and I'm super glad we went. We went on a Saturday which is an appointment-only day. They were able to squeeze us in. You can't just enter the place. You have to knock on the door. The area with the suit samples is kinda small so there is not much space to maneuver around when it's crowded, and it was crowded when we went. Everyone tried on suits and tuxes in the stockroom adjacent and everything went smoothly. The groomsmen chose navy blue suits/pants and my fiancé chose a beautiful navy/black tux. It will definitely make him stand out! He looks so good in it! Shout out to Orlando who helped us as he was running around like a chicken without a head since it was so busy. He was apologetic and even rewarded our patience with a free pair of cufflinks! I think everyone was super happy and satisfied with the quality of the suits and the attentiveness of the staff. Plus, the prices cannot be beat! If you need a suit or just a nice button-up, I definitely would recommend checking SRG out if have a chance. If you look at my Yelp profile pictures, you can tell I like a good suit or two. SRG has become my new spot for clothing. I love these suits. They're made with great quality, they're stylish and have awesome designs. Pinstripes, wool, silk, cashmere, they have it all. My favorite is the Super 150's, these are slim fit suits. Slim fit is the way to go these days and SRG specializes in that. They even have a tailor on site and he's inexpensive if you need any alterations. I love Brooks Brothers and have been going there my whole life but SRG has won my heart. It's wholesale pricing and the customer service was phenomenal. They really took their time in helping me find what I was looking for. They also have great looking shirts. Once again if your looking for some slim fitting things, they have that available in shirts as well. Nice selection of ties, they're silk, and at the end of the day they threw in some suspenders for free. Great product. Wonderful service. Fantastic prices. I normally get overwhelmed by shopping for suits, and leave the store feeling disoriented and gross. Not this time. I came in to SRG on a Saturday without an appointment but they did their best to fit me in, even though a bunch of other groups with appointments were already shopping. Mike was my salesman; he is a bonafide suit-perstar. While he was juggling helping other people, he got me two suits to try on so that I wasn't wasting time standing around. Even though he was busy I was out of there within a half hour, which is incredible. Mike found me a great-fitting suit for an amazing price. He even helped me pick out a nice tie and pocket square to go with it, and directed me to nearby tailors since theirs was booked up. And then when I was finished he took me in the back so I could see their warehouse, which is really impressive. I felt welcomed and calm and left in a much better mood than I went in with. I went this past weekend with my boyfriend who was looking for a suit for a friend's wedding next month and when you first drive up you are a little confused. The building has no windows and it doesn't look as if it is open let alone a thriving business inside. HOWEVER, once you knock on the door you are greeted by one of their employees. It is recommended to have a reservation because they are very busy especially on the weekend! It is a warehouse, so the suits are being sold at wholesale prices, which is great for the buyer! They have a decent variety and you can get everything you need to accessorize the suit there, minus a pair of shoes. They also have a tailor on site, so once you find the perfect suit the tailor can mark you up for $40, which is amazing to have anything tailored at that price especially a suit! My boyfriend ended up spending $285 minus the $40 for the tailor. I'm not sure how much the shirt was, but the $285 included the shirt. He was given a free handkerchief and free lapel pin (we were going to buy it regardless so I don't know if they give them all for free or not). I will be recommending this place to my father and brother! I know my boyfriend will definitely be back for a suit in the future! Long overdue -- I found this spot on yelp and thought to give it a visit for my groomsmen. They definitely took care of me and all my groomsmen with the suits and my tux. All in all the price was better than any suit rental spot in town and I got to keep my tux! These guys are awesome! They run a warehouse out in Queens and have suits, dress shirts and accessories to give you a complete ensemble. The quality of their suits are on point (Super 150s) and reflect both modern and traditional styles. For me, as a big guy (46R jacket and 38' waist) it's hard to find quality suits with a modern cut in most retail suit stores. Over here at SRG, it wasn't a problem at all. These guys got me a nice slim fit suit that really fit me perfectly. Of course, I went down to my tailor in LES to get the pants tapered and hemmed to give me that stylish custom look and that really did the job. These guys have a tailor in-house but that person is very busy, so I recommend you hit up Orchard Express downtown and get those suits tailored within an hour! All in all, I'll be coming back. I got a great deal on three suits (charcoal, navy, black), two ties, and a dress shirt and if you're visiting for the first time they'll really take care of you. The reason their prices are so good is that they are wholesalers and sell to retail stores. So you're basically going straight to the source. The customer service is also amazing! read more

I read the reviews, and I decided to take a trek out to SRG. SRG is pretty deep in Astoria, to the point that the nearest subway is a mile away. It's a very unassuming building surrounded by warehouses and empty streets. Since my bus never came (SHOCKER), I ended doing the subway + cab combo, which got me there a bit late. I got there around 5:40 and the place closes at 5:30. I decided to knock anyways. 2 minutes go by. I am sweating my scones off in my business attire. Some guy down the street is staring at me. I am not sure why, but I have this feeling that he doesn't trust me. Suddenly the door opens, and a man named Giovanni introduces himself. He tells me they are closed, but asks me what I need. I told him I just need two suits: one charcoal and one navy. He then says that I can look for the next 5 minutes as he closes. The place is essentially a warehouse of suits with a fitting room. I expected to look at a few suits, and leave immediately. But Giovanni was incredibly helpful even though it was the end of the day. After 5 minutes, I told him I'd stop by later, but he said don't worry, and try the suits on anyways. He brought me many different types of suits and helped me try them on. Working at a bank, I've gone through my fair share of suits, and these are probably the best bang for your buck suits you can get in NYC (made in Italy, good quality). Hands down. After trying them on, I ended up buying a navy and a charcoal. The customer service was excellent, and I highly recommend this place for anyone. It's a little bit of a trek, but totally worth it. read more

Oh man you guys, I found suit heaven* I needed a few new suits for your everyday reasons (grad school interviews, not wanting to look like a slob at work, etc etc). One of my good friends had mentioned that there was a place out in Queens he goes to religiously for both quality and for amazing customer service. Living in an amazing city such as ours, I am always game to try the local place before hitting up a chain like Men's Warehouse (you're going to pay a lot for subpar quality, I guarantee it). What a good call, SRG is such an amazing find that I can't possibly imagine going any place else in the future. The quality of the first suit (of many) I picked up is insane. Direct from Italy, beautiful color and feel. It fit SO well off the rack thanks to the guys who work there, I almost didn't need to have it altered (seriously Kevin did an AMAZING job helping me out with styles and colors for the season). I did want the pants tapered slightly, but luckily SRG has a tailor on site to do alterations. He doesn't work for them but is in-house so to speak, and was highly recommended by the staff. Their judgment was right on, because the job he did fitting me only made that gorgeous suit look even better. SRG also has undershirts that are SUPER high quality and stylish, which was awesome to see. I like Banana and Landsend normally, but they are going to have some tough competition going forward now that I know about the rotating (and affordable) shirts at this place. Honestly, If you're in need of some new threads for daily life or for a wedding party come check this place out, its 100% worth the trip.
