An overlooked business that is a blessing have in the neighborhood. With the extra pounds from wuhan flu lockdowns, I was in need of a suit and did not want to go to Macys or a mall, I went here and received personal attention. A very patient salesman showed me a few suits in my size and price range and had the on-site tailor fitting me in no time. I picked up a designer overcoat on the day I picked up the suit thanks to an awesome lady at the register. read more

Tailor has me looking like my grandfather. He insisted on leaving the pants longer. Took it somewhere else and they said it was too long. Overall the suit was still baggy after a hem and taper through the leg and seat. Tailor didn't want to do a modern, more youthful, slimmer silhouette style for me. Waste of money. read more

I got the $450 package with three suits, three button-downs, three pairs of socks, three belts, and three ties. It was worth every penny, and Elma was the most considerable help picking out everything and tolerating my ridiculous questions. I highly recommend it, and ask for Elma if you have any "dumb" questions. read more

A decent experience indeed. I did not have too much experience with suits but Dina helped me find the vision and look I was going for, in time for a 21 birthday. Would absolutely go there again for another suit. Amazing service. read more

I had to buy a suit for a Confirmation and Karako Suits was recommended by a friend who used them before. First off, I don't like trying on clothes at all. If I could, I'd never step foot into a clothing store ever, so I wasn't looking forward to stepping into this store at all. Upon entering the store I was impressed. It was clean, organized and well stocked with nice suits, shoes and other accessories. Evie, one of the store salespersons, was very attentive. After taking some measurements, she made her assessment of the kind of suit that would work best for the occasion. She put me at ease with her easy going personality and her very good understanding of style. What I thought would be an unpleasant experience turned out pretty painless. The cost wasn't cheap but it wasn't outrageous either, especially for the price-to-quality ratio that you're getting. Thank you Evie for making this process smooth and painless and for your excellent sense of style. read more

about 145$ for 4 polyster ties, a fake silver tie clip, and 1 belt. 3 people standing in store but not offering to help. and you have to give your whole life story before they ring you up as slowly as possible. hard, heavy, ugly shoes but because they are so unique, they will not have them in any other color or size. No one even tried to act happy that customers were in their store, wow. No prices on anything anywhere. I guess they make up the prices as they study your face for fleecing you. I could have went to jc penney, landsend or macys and gotten a bunch of nice things for that amount of money. Not going back. read more

Elma was incredibly helpful and supportive. The hemming was needed quickly and they took care of it.

Best experience here! My son needed work suits, and this is his favorite place to go. He's very tall and truly loves this place. Dineshwara helped him find suits, and she was kind, professional, and most of all, knowledgeable. He had a light in his eye with all her help. If anyone needs suits, go to Karako Howard Beach and find Dineshwara, you won't be disappointed. read more

Second time I have come here and the service and quality is still great I purchased 3 suits almost 4 years ago and they have lasted and still look like new I didn't have to spend $$$ to get great quality suits I stopped by to pick up a summer suit and I was greeted by Jose who was very professional and friendly I explained to him what I was looking for and he was able to find what I needed he took his time to explain a few different things as far as the material of the suit the suit was fitted to size while I waited I was in and out within half an hour with a new fitted suit and they threw in a free tie valued at $39.99 since my birthday had just pasted. I was looking for a suit yesterday for my wedding and I visited a few stores to no avail. Then I remembered Karako as a store I bought ties from a few years ago. I checked the reviews for the nearby location, and this one at Howard beach had really good reviews, so I visited there. The representative who helped me's name was, Evie. She was a blessing! Helped me pick an amazing suit, color coordinated everything, encouraged me to call/loop-in my fiance (via phone), but most of all, she was super friendly. And I mean genuinely friendly. The best suit shopping experiencece I've ever had. She is definitely an asset to Karako suits, and the reason I would go back there and refer other people also. read more

I am only given five stars for Evie for the store itself I'm giving it negative five stars manager was extremely rude and unfessional I did not catch his name 5/14/2021 was the date it was snapping his fingers and demanding her to bring more suits to the tailor. Evie being the more professional person finish sizing my son and me up for his suit. Was continually attacked by this unprofessional manager I was so close to walking out dealing with Evie in the past it's the only reason we stayed if I walk in that store again in this manager is there I might walk out and never come back read more

I originally went to this location because of the amazing reviews. I purchase my first ever Tux and suit with the amazing help from Evie (why she's not the manager idk). This amazing experience was two years ago before covid. My two stars come from my experience last night. On Friday October 15th. I went in at 7pm. I was in need of a vest for the same tux I purchase from this store. I was met by a gentleman who wasn't the most helpful at all. When we told him we called two days ago and we were told to bring in the tux so they can either match or purchase a vest he said well who told you that cause they were wrong. He proceeded to bring me a 2 XL vest that was too big on me and no offered no help to try to order one. I was getting frustrated with him as he didn't even seem to care at all. I asked for a new tux shirt in which again he went looking for a 2 xl shirt and told me I need to buy it and then get it tailored. The shirt i purchased from the same store was a xl and fit perfectly the only issue was the neck was a bit too small. Going in there was a complete waste of my time and will be the last time I waste my time going in there unless Evie is there to help. read more

Great place to shop! The sales people are knowledgeable and there are unadvertised specials!

We came in for a suit (extremely last minute). Elma was so very helpful! We got everything we needed. Thank you.

I have bought three suits and a tuxedo from this location, and I have never had a negative experience. The tailors and sales representatives are nothing but class, and every suit made me feel so comfortable. The associates are always ready to help their customers out find a deal or accommodate a package to their financial needs. I highly recommend them and hope others patronize this business! read more

Stopped in here for the first time today. Huge selection with friendly and fast service and reasonably prices. Was looking for a sports jacket/blazer. Was helped by a staff member quickly. I just had the best experience at Karako Suits Howard Beach. We walked in on Tuesday night, one hour before closing time, with a warm welcome. We encountered Yvonne who approached us right away with a smile. She measured my husband and found his size. She asked all of the right questions in regards to the occasion, theme/color, and style (which she already knew just by speaking to him). Yvonne was very professional and an expert at what she does. She found the PERFECT SUIT for my husband in an instant and had him try it on. She then put together the entire ensemble with shirt, shoes, and a belt. She did so well with my husband that we decided to come back the next day to pick a suit for our 5 year old son. Yet again PERFECTION! They both tried on their suits and were measured by their in-house tailor. We left the store very happy with our purchases and will absolutely come back should we need another suit. Thanks again Yvonne for being the best salesperson ever!!! read more

Excellent service! This is the first time my husband and I went to this shop. We have been looking all around for suits at Macys, Zara, Nordstrom and other places. All places we went they would just point to a rack when we asked a question and didn't even bother to help us in anyway. When we came to Karako Suits, Evie helped us right away. She knew my husband size just by looking at him and was able to help him pick the best options. It was truly a pleasure shopping here and Evie was a huge help. The price is right too so I definitely recommend you check out this store and ask for Evie. read more

Terrible service today at Karakos. My dad is a long time customer at this particular store and I took him to get suits for his birthday. First and foremost when we walked in we were not greeted when we walked in and said good morning. There was no good morning or how can I help you today. My dad who knows the store went straight to his section to start to look. Then the same customer service rep who was at the door when we walked in followed us. Not only was the selection poor with only three color varieties for his size but after explaining our needs to the customer service representative we were told "they can't do that" because "it wasn't part of the sale" despite our willingness to take less items than the store was offering in the supposed sale. The sad part is that we advised them that we would go else where and both the customer service rep and the manager rather lose their customers rather than satisfy our needs. Very poor customer service. My dad always shops at this store and was just there on Wednesday to return a damaged item that he recently bought and was not met with this same disregard. So sad. I'd put 0 stars but that's not an option. read more

Excellent customer service!!! Lochan was the best! He took excellent care of us. He kept the store open after closing just to help us. He took his time and gave us the attention that we needed. We was going to a funeral so he new it was a emotional time for us. Even though we live in Long Island we will travel to Howard beach to get our suits any time. Thank you again Lochan! read more

Bate and Switch. They tell buy one and get another two suits free. But when its time to pay, they tell that you have to pay full price. Meaning each suit has two prices, a sales price and an original price. You think that the suit is $179 but at the register they change the price to $699. read more

Place sucks. Bought my husband a suit. We had an alterations done and now my husbands pants are high waters. They won't even fix their mistake. Let me just start off by saying that I will NEVER go back to this store again!!! The store manager needs to attend a customer service training course!!! I took my son there for a suit to wear for his graduation. What should have been a memorable experience turned out to be a nightmare!! The suit he chose needed to be altered so of course, we left it to be picked up a week later. First issue was on the day I was scheduled to pick it up, I called the store to make sure it was ready since I live far. The store manager truly told me to call back because he was "too busy" and couldn't check. Called back numerous times and no answer so I went anyway. Second issue, when my son tried on the suit, not only was one leg hemmed longer than the other, but the hem done on the sleeves were crooked/slanted!!!! When the salesman checked he agreed with me, however, when the store manager came over, he was super annoyed because it was late in the evening and tried to convince me that I was wrong and that the work done was perfectly fine. I'm sorry but I'm NOT blind!!! He didn't want to fix it on the spot because it was "late" therefore, wanted me to return the next day. After insisting that I was NOT going to do that because the graduation was the next day and didn't have time to return, he had his seamstress attempt to correct what the tailor messed up. HUGE FAIL!!! The pants were fine but the sleeves were horrible. SHE DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM!!!! All she did was make the sleeves shorter!!! The sleeves were still slanted and uneven!!!! He proceeded to tell me that he was being "texted" because the store was still open, therefore was closing. Really!? So no accountability of the mistake your employee made?? He obviously didn't care if it was corrected or not!! Continued to tell me that If I wanted the sleeves corrected, I would have to go back the next day because he was closing and nothing else would be done at that moment. I'm sorry but after spending soooooo much money in that store, he could have handled the situation a whole lot better!!! RIDICULOUS!!!! Beware of the unprofessionalism in that store not to mention the inexperienced tailors they have working for them!!! read more
