One of my purchases - how adorable, little sugar Koala bear cupcake toppers. You can find EVERYTHING at this store!

The Sugar Shoppe is such a cool place for all your candy decorating and cake-making needs! As an avid home baker, I love visiting mom-and-pop places like here - so much better than having to order online without getting to actually see the products, or buying from a big corporate store that only devotes a dusty little corner to Wilton products (hate that!). The owners, Robin and Frivaldo, are the NICEST people you could ever hope to meet, and they are eager to help you find any possible product that you are searching for (if they don't carry it immediately in their new, spacious spot in the Walmart Supercenter shopping center, than they will find it and order it for you). And the prices are great - I left with items from novelty cupcake liners, decorative cake items (stuff like golf, hunting and a grill topper, for my husband's birthday cake), cake pop sticks - oh and a big slice of Robin's layer cake. It was nice to find all of these items, when I have usually had to order online from various vendors, or from specialty sellers Etsy, which can unfortunately add up (I love, love, LOVE Etsy, but it can be pricey!). Robin and Frivaldo also stated that they will be offering cake and candy decorating classes - wish I could attend! And they offer specialty/custom-made cakes and other baked items (weddings, graduations, birthdays, etc.). Eventually, they would like to offer a full bakery, to showcase all of Robin's baking talents. Definitely stop by The Sugar Shoppe, well-worth it if you are a commercial vendor or a novice home-baker!

    Upside down artwork/ lettering.

First of all, everyone who worked there was very nice...well, except the guy who argued with me that it wasn't upside down... The cake was stale and they added the lettering upside down. I felt it was over-priced for a stale cake with an upside down fish on it. I uploaded an image above. It was just under $80 for a quarter-sheet cake with a printed image. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this place. Go to Jackson Bakery.

A Sweet Spot in Chattanooga!…read more Rocket Fizz is one of my favorite chain stores to visit whenever I travel, and the Chattanooga location is truly a gem! We had just wrapped up a fun-filled afternoon at the pinball museum down the street and decided to walk over for a treat--best decision ever. The store is bright, clean, and packed wall-to-wall with colorful candies, vintage sodas, nostalgic toys, and quirky gifts. It's like stepping into a time capsule of fun. The displays are well-organized and make browsing a total blast. Whether you're hunting for your favorite childhood candy or looking to try a bacon-flavored soda just for laughs, this place has it all. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, happy to answer questions and chat about some of the more unusual flavors on the shelves. Their enthusiasm added to the experience and made us feel right at home. I left with a cold soda and a bag full of goodies--and already can't wait to come back. Rocket Fizz Chattanooga is a must-visit stop for anyone with a sweet tooth, a love of pop culture, or just a craving for something delightfully different!

They have I believe 90 different flavors of taffy, which is wild! Naturally I had to get one of each, duh. They had another 3/4 of the store that I only glanced at. They truly do have a lot of options so if you are looking for something specific they probably have it. This is a great spot to casually check out while walking by. They also had drinks. In my mind, this is more of a sweets shop because of the variety. I was expecting more of a scoop-style like a classic candy shop where they have bins that are covered. All the options for putting into bags are individually wrapped. I was perfectly happy with that and it makes sense from an operational angle. Just a different vibe than what I was expecting.

There were a lot of options as far as flavors, sizes, toppings, etc. I stuck with a 12 oz white hot chocolate with whipped cream. Now the white hot chocolate was fantastic. It was real white chocolate and it was a nice bit of sweetness. But the cheesecake was unfortunately disappointing. I don't know if it was over baked or over beaten or what but it had a rubbery jello like texture that's not appealing in the mouth when expecting something different. I could only have two bites before giving up on the $9 slice. I'm torn on this review. And this is because I was so excited and hopeful to try the cute hot chocolate place with desserts that I wanted to love it. But was so disappointed with my dessert. The hot chocolate was fantastic and that being their key thing is what I would try again. But I'd probably never reorder a baked dessert from them as they are not necessarily cheap and I wouldn't want to be disappointed when there are other treat options around the area. The space itself is mountainy fun candy cottage vibe. Serves the purpose of having somewhere to enjoy the treats you've ordered inside.

Honestly, any business that welcomes our dog, I will almost every time purchase something-it means that much to me! The store holds a variety of items. It is a souvenir shop but this is probably one of the most unique souvenir shops I have ever visited. I like to purchase items when I travel that are locally made and this store had some items like that. Hubs and I took turns browsing the store and speaking with the owners, which made our experience more personable. I wanted to find something like an old souvenir Chattanooga vintage train but they did not have what I was picturing in my mind. Instead, the owners showed us trains they had in the window and offered to sell us the whole set but I could not afford it. Instead, we bargained for me to purchase a couple of pieces of the set. I thought it was very special of them to do that. We purchased some other souvenirs but none of them were sentimental like the train set pieces. I will definitely shop here again when we visit Chattanooga!

I could eat it every day and sometimes I just have popcorn for dinner. I needed a massive amount of popcorn for a party and I didn't want to make it myself or rent a machine or buy just store popcorn and then I remembered driving by this place. So I stopped in and they have HUGE bins of popcorn. Lots of different flavors too. And you can get SAMPLES of them to pick what you want. I talked with the girl working alone in there and asked if they did bulk popcorn and they do! They have different bags to choose from and she helped me figure out how much I would need. I couldn't leave without some popcorn for myself so I picked a couple of flavors and got some small bags to go. Let's talk packaging. This girl had those bags stuffed FULL. I doubted she was going to get the twist tie on it. So no wasted space in these bags. You get well over your money's worth. Came back the next day to pick up my fresh popped popcorn and it was a hit at my party. Love this place.
