I absolutely love this place, it has the cutest most endearing aesthetic and I've never seen any pictures that justify. It has so many adorable photo-ops and a massive selection of wine. Absolutely love this place! Looked for a wine bar while in town for work, and this has become my all time favorite. You walk in, and immediately feel so homey and cozy. All the cool, quaint decorations makes the atmosphere so unique. There are 5 different themed "rooms" for you to hang out in and enjoy wine. The owner, Ian, was so kind and knowledgeable on all the wines and their descriptions/tastes. My friend and I got flights, I had the "David Lynch" flight which consists of all their "outlier weird fun wines" 2 reds and 2 whites. My friend got the all red flight and it was amazing as well. We also got their charcuterie cheese plate which paired well with our wines. I feel like I learned so much just sipping on the variety of wine and talking to Ian about the different kinds and where they came from. He is so friendly and nice! Great date night spot! Wine flights were pricey, but definitely opened my eyes to new wines and all were delicious. Very relaxed environment. The Study is THE PLACE for wine nerds. If you're in the service industry studying to become a sommelier, I can't think of anywhere better that has more of a selection--BY THE GLASS, no less--than this place. You can do 3 oz pours all day long and taste side by side Old vs. New World Pinot, Sauv Blanc, Chardonnay, etc. etc. and discover new favorites. You think you like Chardonnay? Do you want something buttery or crisp (and what does that taste like?) You can try obscure Greek wines that don't make it to anyone else's wine menu (even Greek restaurants, in some cases). It's really cool to have that kind of accessibility in OKC, unprecedented really. And the atmosphere is cozy, like a library you can drink in. I'm thrilled for their success despite opening during COVID and in a more obscure location--it's not so much something you stumble upon as a place you seek out. Wine can be intimidating for people, and they make accessible. One thing to point out, there isn't a kitchen, so they have a few light munchies (nuts, cheese plate, etc) but if you're in for a long night of *ahem* tasting, you might want to consider getting a pizza delivered from Joey's (yes they allow that--encourage it even). read more

They have affordable wines and splurge wines and the bartender will talk all the wine talk you can handle, which I enjoy because it makes the wine taste better. The décor fits the name and it's very cozy. This is a great place to take a break from the pandemic as they are very strict about COVID protocols. This is definitely a place you should go to expand your variety of wines. And the cheese board was DELICIOUS... especially when paired with the wine. Sadly, the 2 bar tenders were not very friendly. First time coming here for a date night. They were not inviting nor did they try to sell us on anything. She didn't even try to offer us any pairings with our flight. I think if your a bartender you should be outgoing and try to sell your establishment to new comers. Very disappointing, I love wine and we ended up going to a different bar. Will definitely not recommend. 1 star for effort and 2 on the establishment. read more

Owner was extremely unprofessional and rude in my opinion --- he came almost charging at me (startled me) and demanded to see my vaccination card and made a scene in front of a lot of people. One person commented that there were sorry to see that happen to me. It would have taken a lot less energy for the owner to just be kind!!!! My suggestion is that if you try this place, just walk in with your mask on (which I did) and ALSO have your vaccination card handy to show them!!! read more

Ian even helped find a wine that my husband liked and he's been a self-proclaimed "non wine guy" forever. This is the best wine bar in Oklahoma City. No other place offers 64 wines by the glass so you can sample several high quality wines during your visit without committing to a full bottle. The Study offers wines from around the world at varying price points and the friendly staff is always willing to offer recommendations based on your preferences. The cozy atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, perfect for a date or conversation with friends. All the music is curated from a vinyl collection and the books that line the wall are there as much for reading as for ambiance. This is easily one of OKC's best venues--and one OKC desperately needed. They have an outstanding selection of wines at reasonable prices and a relaxing atmosphere that's also full of character. The staff is nice and knowledgeable and, most importantly, take COVID precautions seriously--perhaps more so than any other bar or restaurant in Oklahoma. (I'm pretty sure one of the negative reviews of this place is from a person who refused to follow the bar's precautions and was justifiably asked to leave). One fun thing to do here: bring food with you or tell the bartender what you plan to eat and he will match your meal with the perfect wine. read more

Cozy decor with lots of hidden little "easter eggs" in the pictures and on the bookshelves.
