Very gorgeous! I love the concept and the staff was nice! I'd definitely go back and recommend.

Came to New Haven to visit a friend and the reviews steered me to two choices. Either the Study at Yale or the Blake Hotel. I was drawn to the Study by the pictures so I went with it. I booked a king room with a campus view. Not sure what type of campus I was looking at but it was the view of a random roof. I was not impressed with the view whatsoever. The room was clean and it was a decent size. It had a leather chair with a foot rest in there too. The bed was very comfortable too. The bathroom was a little small but it did the job for our 2 night stay. FYI, they charge $20 for parking overnight. Sunday is free parking on the street so you can save some money if you park after 9pm on Saturday into Sunday. There was plenty of parking on the street. The one good thing about the hotel parking is the elevator goes straight up to your room. I would come back and stay but next time I will make sure I have a better view. Other than that the hotel was solid.

Came for a private dinner in the Penthouse. Started with a mojito first at the bar downstairs. it was nice but paper straws stink and don't work well. Dinner itself was okay. First course- butternut squash soup allegedly served with micro greens but all I could taste was cilantro which makes my stomach turn. Bread was sliced and served with warm butter. Our server actually came around with the bread basket and doled out slices individually. Next course was the branzino which was freaking DELICIOUS. Ended the meal with a chocolate pot de creme that was served with ice cream. Didn't understand that pairing at all. I'd come back for the view and the branzino. Nice space for a private dinner with friends and colleagues. All the servers were nice. Valet parking only but its' free!

I really liked The Study Nice service. Kind front desk. I don't use housekeeping minus towel change and they were attentive. robe, paper thin, no less.....a robe. Clean modern hotel Free lobby coffee in the AM....illy Free water in room Good workout room for a small hotel. Close to hospital Felt safe Was woken by loud noises at 530a but I can't take away stars for that. Would definitely come again

It's 10 pm. On a Sunday. Am I legal to park?

Boutique hotel located on the Yale campus. I was fortunate to have the tab picked up by Yale. Valet parking is $35. (Also comped by Yale for me). Nit sure where you park otherwise. Rooms were small, but they felt homey. It must have been the decor, but I felt more like I was in my own house as opposed to the sterile hotel room vibe I normally get. Nice large walk in glass door shower. With seersucker bathrobes. No refrigerator or microwave or coffee pot. I should really minus 2 stars for that alone. WiFi was terrific.

Recently visited new haven for work and stayed at the Study. Such a nice hotel! My room was so sleek I loved it. And the bed was incredibly comfy. Also had breakfast at Heirloom, the food was fantastic. The hotel is also in such a convenient location and close to everything! The staff was so nice and really speaks to the quality of the hotel. I had a fantastic stay and would recommend the hotel!

Very solid place for brunch. Nice ambience, amazing food - highly recommend the hot caramel apple donuts! Pretty packed on Sundays, prepare for a little wait.

Service and atmosphere was excellent. Food was too expensive for what it was but we tipped generously in support of our nice waiter. Would rather have spent 4 dollars on a tv meal for the same quality or gone to Harvest / Barcelona down the road which I felt was worth the large price tag.

Amazing stay. Great front desk. Great safety. The best place to stay in New Haven, bar none. Don't hesitate to book a room here.

For years, this was just the big brutalist building in the IKEA parking lot, but they've put so much work into making this a gorgeous hotel with comfortable amenities and retro design. The switches to manipulate the blinds were cool and I liked that there were different settings for different times of day. I appreciated the abundant free parking as well. This seemed to be a pretty busy conference / corporate hotel which is not surprising but we definitely didn't feel like an afterthought. The staff were friendly and checked in throughout our stay. I also loved the commitment to sustainability throughout the hotel (e.g., reusable bottles, wooden reusable key cards, energy efficient lighting).

I heard it was an old Ikea office building, and then Hilton turned it into a hotel. Staff was really friendly at check in and every time we saw them. Beds were low to the ground and comfy. Very modern hotel. Switches to lower the blinds and curtains etc. They even give you a wooden room key which was neat! Free parking, too! Can't beat that! Would definitely stay here again if in New Haven. I loved this hotel!

The property is beautifully decorated. The rooms were a decent size as were the bathrooms. They include a mini fridge in the room as well as bathroom amenities such as a hair dryer. There is one elevator for use. The lobby has many places to sit and unwind and is pretty laidback. The front desk staff were kind and let me leave my items there until it was time to check in. The rooms were quiet in the fact that you could not hear anything from other rooms. Our room faced Chapel Street, which could get pretty loud at times especially at night. Plenty of light came in through during the day however. There is housekeeping each day though we declined as we were only there two nights. The one thing about this hotel that stinks is the restaurants or lack thereof. The Old Heidelberg bar downstairs is closed two days of the week and doesn't have good food options or beer options for that matter. It also attracts a young, rowdy college crowd which can be expected i guess... The Poindexter cafe in the lobby was out of all the breakfast foods we wanted which rendered them useless for a pre train ride meal. The staff was also pretty surly. The front desk sells some junk food if you want any but there's no where else on the property to purchase food or drink, even water. Down the street there is Est Est Est Pizza Shop which is not the best pizza you'll have but is open until 1am for food and drink if you need it. Overall, a nice hotel at an affordable place.

We were disappointed by the lack of service / desire for guests to have a good experience. Upon checking in at around 8:30pm we were looking forward to having a drink and maybe dessert. The website says that restaurant & bar are open until 9 weekdays and 10pm on Saturday. We were told that the bar & restaurant in lobby looked like it wanted to close and in fact we're closing. We were given the option to leave our bags at desk and go over. Not have bags brought to room, not to get settled & come back down. When we got to the floor we were staying on there was a cool enclosed rooftop bar. My daughter asked how late they would be open and was told "we just closed". When she asked what the hours were they just said well it is slow so we closed. A city hotel, holiday weekend one would expect an option to settle in a nice space and relax without heading out. I think we would be more likely to try the graduate hotel during our next trip to New Haven. A little customer service goes a long way.

In our 2nd room the tv was broken, maintenance could not fix it so they offered to move us to another room. At this point, we had already unpacked and we were staying for a week so we decided just to stay in the room with no TV. They offered us one free breakfast for the inconvenience. Since the breakfast there is not free. I went to use our free coupon for the breakfast and we were limited with the choices if we had a coupon.
