What went well: besides the great care, consideration and vibe that the salon had, communication was outstanding. They emailed me almost immediately after I inquired about appointments (and we had a short window of time to pull this off) and after a few messages, we were all set. Clear, concise and follow through. My teenager really liked Tori, and the salon. An hour later she had the hairdo she had hoped for, and was one happy customer. Had a painful experience with the hair stylist Jil. She didn't seem to be friendly at the beginning but I cared more about her skills than her attitude. However her her skills are even more terrified. When she blew dry my hair, it felt like she wanted to rip off my scalp by keep pulling my hair aggressively. I have been lucky enough to find The Studio Salon. I moved into the area about a year ago and I had gone to one other salon. I didn't like how my color grew out or my haircut didn't quite suite me. I have been to get my haircut twice and my hair colored once. The haircut and color grows out so nicely which I think is when you know you've found a great stylist/colorist. I originally had contacted Kendra about going blonde and getting new hair extensions, and she was so knowledgeable and upfront about all that was involved. At the time I was unfortunately still wearing NBR and like an idiot, went somewhere else. A couple months later, I reached out to her again, and again she was so helpful and informative. I ended up booking with her, having my old extensions removed, and replaced with new hair, and going blonde. My only regret is not having gone to her in the first place. Her method of installing extensions, her coloring technique, everything she does, related to hair, is A+. Before Kendra, I HAD to have my hair colored with every extension move up, but with Kendra, I can easily wait until every other move up/maintenance appointment. My color looks "lived in" which is exactly what I always wanted. Even though I wear very long extensions, it all looks like my real hair. Kendra is a very busy woman, and I can see why, I almost hate to leave this review, because she might have even less time for me to book. Regardless, she is well worth the wait, and I will NOT go anywhere else. Her salon is also so pretty, the staff are all friendly, and it's an easy location to find, park etc. I've also just gone in for blow outs, with other stylists and it's all such a good experience. Don't think twice about getting extensions with Kendra. It's worth every penny for quality hair and expertise. Visited for the very first time for a balayage and trim. Sarah Jo did a beautiful job with the balayage, she was attentive, sweet and detail oriented. Jill did my haircut and she was also amazing- showed me pictures of recent work to confirm that was the look I was going for. This might actually be the first haircut I have ever gotten and not immediately regretted (1 week since, and still loving it!) Now this is where I feel the salon went above and beyond and I really, truly appreciate their time and client experience. My cut was also very well suited for me and what I was looking for. They are very helpful and pleasant. I would have given 5 stars but for the cost. Gabie always gives the best cuts, even when I just go in for a bang trim she is so thorough and makes my hair feel so fresh!
