I walked in a bit early so another stylist took a stab at my hair (and spent about 10-15 minutes working on it) before my assigned stylist took over - after about 10-15 minutes, she asked me if it's OK to use a curling iron...of course I said "yes" knowing it was gonna end up that way...her manager also approved using it without charging me extra because she also saw how much trouble both stylists had with my hair... I'm glad I at least gave them a try so I know they can't meet the needs of my hair (without paying extra for curling iron)!

I mentioned I had to leave by 10am and didn't want to have my service rushed. At 9:07am my stylist comes out from behind a curtain in the back and proceeds to wash my hair. The wash wasn't thorough, there was no scalp massage or anything, it was just a quick, superficial (top layer of hair) wash with extra-long nails that felt so weird on my scalp (the extra long nails). I feel like I will need to wash my hair again very soon so that my scalp is actually clean (which defeats the purpose of a professional blow out that you'd like to last for a few days). Then the blowout itself was a quick 25 minute blowout (I have a lot of hair and long) that looks nice, but doesn't look special or professional. I was glad I brought my own brush because the one that was there looked like it had seen better days. What is the point of going to a salon that specializes in blowouts then? The vibe of all the staff members I saw this morning was unwelcoming, like they were unhappy to work there.

I will say I've been to other dry bars like in Palo Alto and SoCal that didn't do a great job but I've had great experiences at the LG location. According to the company's own policy, there is a 5-10 minute grace period for each appointment. I arrived at 8:25 AM, which falls within that stated window. Despite this, the stylist, Domenic, refused to perform the full blowout service and stated that only a dry style could be done because there was another client scheduled after me. This was both confusing and unacceptable. If a grace period is clearly communicated to clients, it should be honored in practice--not selectively enforced. I spoke with the manager, Jaileen, who reiterated that they were fully booked and could not accommodate the full service. That is an internal scheduling issue and should not be pushed onto the client, especially when the client adhered to the published policy. The lack of flexibility, accountability, and basic customer consideration was disappointing. Policies should be consistent, and clients should not be penalized for relying on what is stated on the company's own website. If your policies aren't real, don't advertise them. Unprofessional and poorly managed - do yourself a favor and hire better manager. I would not recommend this location at all

That seems insane especially in a situation where I, the client, was 15 minutes late (after calling ahead to give a heads up) and where I'd already shared that I was happy to get whatever she (the stylist) could manage within the allotted appointment time. She said that she wouldn't be able to do the full service because she had an appointment immediately after mine, which was fine and made sense. But then instead of trying to find a workable solution to the time constraint, she lectured me about the grace period policy, gave a 5-minute wash and a 5-minute bangs blowout, then stood silently at the front of the salon waiting for me to pay, all by 3:07pm. Why did she stop blowdrying at 3:07pm, you may ask, when I'd booked an appointment until 3:30pm? I'm honestly not sure, even after asking her this question. Based on her response though, it seems that her logic was: 1) I'd already forfeited my appointment by being an extra 5 minutes late so 2) she was doing me a favor by doing any styling work at all.
