I love Top of the Bay! Seriously, who IS this horse-faced Avery chick? Girl must be the Yelp…read moreequivalent of a professional hater--she drops a 1-star review faster than a drunk uncle drops his beer at a wedding. Probably mad because the barstools don't come with a personal therapist to listen to her complaints. Meanwhile, the rest of us are living our best lives: the atmosphere is straight-up electric (in a good way, not like that one time the jukebox shorted out), the booze flows like it's happy hour in heaven--wine? Nah, we're talking bottomless vibes and top-shelf pours that make you forget what day it is. The staff? Absolute legends. They remember your drink before you remember your own name, and they do it with smiles bigger than the Mobile Bay itself. And the events? Non-stop party central: * Wednesdays: Line dancing so fun you'll forget you have two left feet (spoiler: everyone does after shot #3). * Fridays: Live bands that slap harder than your ex's bad decisions. * Saturdays & Sundays: Karaoke where your off-key rendition of "Sweet Caroline" somehow becomes the highlight of the night--bonus points if you dedicate it to Avery for the motivation. Plus, outdoor music perfect for pretending you're in a music video while actually just spilling your drink on your shoes. It's the ultimate spot to grab a cold one, mingle like you're auditioning for a rom-com, and meet new people who are actually fun (unlike certain reviewers). The regulars? Pure gold. They'll hook you up with every hidden gem, event, and questionable life choice happening in Baldwin County faster than you can say "another round." Bottom line: If you're looking for a good time in Daphne, Top of the Bay is where it's at. Avery can stay home reviewing her own fridge if she wants--more barstools for the rest of us party animals!

Listen. This is probably the best hometown bar I have ever been to…read more I am a 42 year old WOMAN who enjoys coming to this bar. I come with my husband, so I haven't ever had the experiences as OTHER women (please see the lot lizard that left the one star review on 3/13) of being put in my place and told no when attempting to seduce a SIGNIFICANTLY older man (ohmygod its like I was there...) I also don't tend to laugh like a loud congested hyena, so maybe that doesn't hinder my view on the joint. The bartenders Morgan, Christina, John and Emma are all amazing. They all pay attention to you, regardless of whats between your legs. Please give this bar a chance. Just dont sit where we sit, or play shitty music please. Thank you!

Looking forward to anything Art wise, arriving to Loud music kids dancing tents with nice people…read moretrying to sell their art. If Only rude people would not unleash their children on others. The loud out of tune and spastic music selection, loud TV with football, and 4 wheeler with his own music which was not only annoying but even caused the artists headaches. Good advice to planners of these types of events, alittle quiet please so those sincere appreciators can enjoy and shop. People with dogs should understand it's not a dog show, your dog loves you but not the heat of blacktop, crowds and noise. To those people who's parents never teaching the art of etiquette, using interrupting behavior makes you appear classless. It doesn't help in sales or elsewise.

Y'all....go. Just go. The Jubilee Festival is awesome!…read more I try to go every year and I always find the cutest stuff. Some of my finds included a Corian trivet shaped like a turtle, and I got our niece one that's shaped like a mermaid. I also bought a spoon made from Corian with a notch on it so it can rest on the side of the pot. I bought a print of the Middle Bay lighthouse painted by a retired fireman. I bought two prints of sea turtles painted by an up and coming artist named Gary Pope, Jr. My friend Bev kept telling him he should increase his prices before I paid for mine. She's totally right, but wait until after I buy mine. My favorite local photographer/candle maker was there selling her candles and wax melts and I loaded up. That's Lynn Jordan/Bon Secour Candle Company, in case you're wondering. I bought Jasmine a tutu from a booth that had everything you could possibly want for your pet. Of course I bought some pottery. I got the most fabulous and practical utensil holder with crabs on it for only $36! I wanted so much more and the prices were great. In addition to what we bought, we saw wood bowls, gorgeous and well-made handcrafted jewelry, paintings, clothing, address plaques and so much more. There were several food stands as well and some live music. This festival is not huge. We walked in in a matter of a couple of hours and saw everything. It's really a can't miss annual event. There's no admission and parking is free.

So - let's break it down for you . . . Cigar shop -…read more *Cigars - surprisingly great selection & variety of price points for a smaller town local shop. *Whiskey, Bourbon, Scotch - while your options are neat or rocks, the pour variety ranges from $7 to $129, the options are narrower than many, but offers quality over a quantity, which is a plus in my book! *Beer - draft, bottle, or can - limited selection - but again = quality over quantity. *Service & Knowledge was outstanding *Entertainment - happened to find this place on a night with live music, so we had dinner at Guido's and popped back over for a smoke, a pour, & a listen. John Cochran & the Remedy? I think the name is undecided and the John Cochran was absent the entire second set (had the band in a bit of a tiz, but the drummer made it happen and got em up and playing) *When your name is part of the band name - get your ass in gear, be present, and don't leave your band mates hanging like a jackweed? That said - *Keyboardist - crazy mad skills!!!!!!!! Can't say enough!!! *Rhythm (drums/bass) - solid, crisp, tight on the majority of the tunes played - drummers swapped it out and both talented. Bass was like you like it - on point, doing his thing to keep it moving. *Brass - Al, the trumpet, coronet, flugal horn playin' bad ass - when he was doing his thing was owning the deck behind the shop and he IS a "SHOWMAN" *Vocals - The solo chick in the band, she has looks, hair, body, charisma, and the moves to keep you engaged. Her chops showed thru on a couple tunes? But as for song selection - while they were classics - they weren't in her vocal range or sweet spot, so was disappointed she didn't get a full opportunity to shine? Song selection can make or break even the best voices if it isn't in your pocket. Def would like to see them again when they've had a chance to tighten up, add songs, and allow her some voice in the choice. *Guitar - (John? Jon? Cochran?) What can I say, you saw some natural talent, some flashes of what could perhaps be great, that fizzled after a broken string, a disappearance, brief reappearance and then departure? See this over and over with live talent - has talent, can't commit fully, or has other demons that can't be controlled? From the band reaction, discussions, and recovery - there was no explanation, just "puff" like the cigar smoke and gone? Love it or hate it - the reviews I leave are the facts as observed by me. Reviews are best left & read RAW!!

The atmosphere at Buster's Brick Oven seems more upscale than the more dive bar ambiance of Manci's. They offer more than just pizza here but pizza seems to be the featured item. I sampled a Margherita pizza at Buster's Brick Oven and honestly it wasn't my favorite version of that particular pizza but it was alright. I also tried their Bison Burger which I ordered medium and it arrived with charred, burned and very crunchy meat on the outside but better on the inside with a side of charred and burned green beans... I will be sticking with the food on the Manci's Antique Club side! Ultimately the food on the Manci's side is far superior to me. The same folks that own Callaghan's Irish Social Club in Mobile have taken over Manci's and added the pizza addition of Buster's Brick Oven. Overall this is a great neighborhood spot which gives you the choice of the more "upscale" pizza side or the more classic dive bar side with different menus available in each. So far my experience with Buster's Brick Oven has convinced me to stick with the food at Manci's!
