What a cool little parade! The Shadow Barons roll through downtown Daphne the same night the MOTs…read moreroll in Mobile. It's much less crowded and parking is easy and cheap (free). They have probably have about 15 ornate floats, plus bands and other acts. They throw quite a bit, but for me, the fun is not in catching throws so much as looking at the floats and seeing how excited the little kids get over all of the throws they catch. They get pretty excited over this one. If you don't feel up to fighting the crowds and traffic or forking out an outrageous amount for parking in Mobile, just go watch the Shadow Barons. You won't be disappointed.

She graduated from The Studio years ago but she remains in contact and visits with Brandon often when she's home. Their parade is very safe and family oriented, and rolls through old downtown Daphne on a Friday night. The parade route starts behind the Daphne Library on Scenic 98, then turns onto College Avenue, 6th Street, Belrose Avenue, then goes back down 98 and ends by the library. Parking is ample at Winn-Dixie, the library/civic center parking lot, Daphne UMC (for $5), the post office, or anywhere downtown. You and your family are certain to have a great time!
