Great daycare! They take great care to be sure your child is loved and looked after. My child is learning and loves to go here!

My son was there about a solid two months before things just completely just went off the deep end…read more At first the daycare was super nice and communicated any concerns but then it got to the point where i was getting messages everyday that my child was a source of hitting or pushing , this is his first daycare ,first time really being around people his age. The messages got to a point where i left work to go basically pop up on the situation to see for myself. Not only was my son learning the bad behavior from the class that he was in but the source of the problem was a kid that belongs to the front staff of the daycare. Most times when dropping my son off i would see this other kid smacking, scratching this other little boy in class. Fine we moved past this point. The thing that bothered me the most is the have a system where they can upload what your child does throughout the day and nothing would ever match up. They would put on there that he had breakfast at 7:30 but i never would drop him off before 8:00... i would pick him up most days and he would come home acting like his starving and when it got brought up the response was oh no he gives us no trouble with eating even though i KNOW he can be a picky eater. It would never fail i would pick him up everyday with FILTHY hands. I know kids play outside but why is my son caked in mud and dirt! Why am i bringing in two packs a wipes a month if you guys can't at least clean his hands with that!!!! MY LAST STRAW was when i picked my son up got him home and saw the worst diaper rash which he's about to be 3 coming up.... he's never had a diaper rash EVER because he gets changed on time with me. I got no notification no call text nothing letting me know the state of my child's bottom... the smell in this place is horrible everyone too someone get them a damn plug in freshener

My son has been here since he was 12 weeks. All of the girls are so sweet and it reassures me…read morethroughout the day he is being well taken care of. They are flexible with your child's needs and your own. It's state regulated which is a huge plus. I wish the amount of babies allowed was smaller but the amount of attention and care they give my son makes that less of a worry! Definitely recommend

My son was terminated without ANY warning. Be aware of this place and their lack of compassion if…read moreyou get upset or frustrated with them. The owner is awful and should not be working in the business of children and families. Back story: We have been dealing with head lice with my almost 2yo son for a week now. Anyone who's dealt with it knows how frustrating it is. After multiple treatments, holding him down to pick each one out, and a visit to the pediatrician (who said it was fine for him to return to daycare after treatment) was met with day after day of being turned away because he wasn't passing their head exams/checks. After the third time, you can imagine the frustration. Naturally, I got super frustrated with the director, Savanah this morning and raised my voice out of frustration hoping to be met with compassion and understanding. I never cursed, used any defamatory language or threatened anyone! NOT ONCE was I told to lower my voice or calm down or let's talk quietly in her office. She never once voiced I was making her uncomfortable and she never asked me to leave. She just let me say what I had to say, unbothered. She finished with the comment that she would have the owner reach out. At that point I told her it didn't matter because I knew what I was going to hear. Afterwards, my husband called to ask about billing/refund since my son hasn't been there all week and was told "oh there's nothing we can do, we still have to charge you, per policy. Oh, and by the way, we're terminating your son from this daycare." No warning- NOTHING. We were in utter shock. We have NEVER had an incident there before and he's been sick multiple times and no issues. I feel like as a director of a daycare you probably have to deal with frustrated parents a lot. To have them not give a single warning or try to deescalate the situation and then just say you can't come back is VERY poor business management by ALL involved. The OWNER Johnie, called us later to follow up and literally told us "it is not their job to regulate the parent's emotions." I could not believe what I was hearing. I am not your employee, I am an upset, overwhelmed parent. If at any point I was making someone uncomfortable or violating any rules, it should have been communicated in the moment- especially by someone with a "title" of DIRECTOR. We even tried offering to come in a talk together to see if it can be resolved but she didn't care about creating a solution or talking it through. I did apologize on the phone to Savanah, voicing I was just frustrated and made a mistake. She dismissed any possibility of resolution and said the decision was final. Just know these are the kind of people you're dealing with when you enroll them here. The kind of administration that puts policy over compassion. The kind that will just replace your kid with next.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this facility. No issues with the teachers, however, we…read moreultimately ended up removing our child from the school. If you are considering it as an option for your child, the advice I would say is to make sure you're never, ever, ever late. We were late to school by 7 minutes a few months ago when I had car trouble. Last week my nanny encountered traffic and was 1 minute late (no...that's sadly not an exaggeration.) My child (he's 3, by the way) and his nanny were barred from entering the facility. It was only after about 45 minutes of multiple phone calls between myself, my husband, and the program director that they begrudgingly allowed my nanny to drop him off. Needless to say this was traumatic for my child (he didn't understand and somehow thought he was in trouble) and infuriating for the rest of us. It's one thing to take issue up with the parents over policy "violations" (if you can call being 1 minute late a violation), it's another to let the child suffer. Interestingly two days later my child was bitten by another child at school and no one bothered to call/text/message his parents. It seems the owner and the managers are more concerned about petty enforcement than child education or safety. By the way...they are rated well with "Best of Baldwin" county mainly because they incentivize the parents with free tuition and other prizes for voting. So take any reviews you see there with a grain of salt. For parents that are struggling to find a facility for your child (it's a tough process, I know!) make sure you check out the Alabama DHR 'STARS' program. Some facilities (like KinderKids) are a '1' Star facility- this means they meet the basic requirements for an Alabama childcare facility. Any extra stars (2 through a max of 5) means the program has gone above and beyond in specific areas. Good luck to all the other parents out there looking for quality education for your child!
